The best and most luxurious resort in Breckenridge, CO is Valdoro Mountain Lodge. Located within a block of ski lifts, hiking, Main street Breckenridge, and restaurants, Valdoro will please your tastes. The lodge itself feels like your dream home away from home because of it's clean, tastefully decorated, cozy, friendly staff and surroundings, and the perfect mountain lodge. On site are a spa with the best massage therapists ever, hot tub, ski and bike rentals, outside grills, a friendly and knowledgeable concierge, and free heated underground parking. Relax on your private outdoor deck, by the fireplace, and enjoy cooking your own food. The grocery store is a very short drive away. You will be pleased to stay at Valdoro! Believe me! I am soooo picky!

History: Home to the largest historic district in Colorado, Breckenridge features a new welcome center and several heritage tours and treasures all awaiting your discovery. No matter the season, a trip to this friendly town is just what you need.
Summer 1859-
Gold is discovered along the Blue River and a base camp, later to be known as Breckenridge, is established. While none of this base camp remains today, Breckenridge does contain more than 350 historic structures, making it the largest historic district in the state of Colorado.

Shopping and Food: Take a stroll down illustrious main street and feel the vibrant spirit of eclectic boutiques and après-ski cheer, or relax fireside in a cozy café. The Columbine Cafe is our favorite place for lunch. We love MiCasa for dinner. Every shop has its own flavor. The yellow house features Jim Shore and other such decor. The Spice shop's spices are fabulous and easy to take home! Another favorite is Magical Scraps, clothing, belts, aprons, and more for kids and women, and much of it is made from fabric scraps! There are several shops of ski and outdoor clothing, including boots, tee-shirts and sweatshirts. The art galleries are fun to see. The Baystreet House, the Peruvian sweater shop on the corner of main and Village Road, and the Christmas shop are also musts. Now if you've seen Breckenridge, take a drive to the Silverthorne Outlets, about 10 miles away. They're awesome. And for a real shopping experience, go to Gorsuch in Vail. The clothing, furniture, and decor are like a museum!

Skiing: Breckenridge is one of North America's top rated ski areas and one of the leading year round destinations in the U.S. With its 300 inches of annual snowfall, Summit County is the perfect place for a Colorado winter vacation. Ski lifts are close by and some people even ski in and out of Valdoro! Ski rentals are in-house, as well as ski storage. The most beautiful part of Breckenridge are the mountains, and there are plenty of ski slopes to please.
Breckenridge Ski Resort receives an average of 300 inches of snow annually. Because the base begins at 9,600 feet, the resort enjoys a ski season that lasts for six months. There are over 2,200 acres of skiing and riding, with the longest ski run, Four O'Clock, being 3.5 miles. The slopes here rise 3,398 vertical feet.
Currently, there are 30 lifts that carry guests to 155 trails. One lift, the Imperial Express SuperChair, is the highest chairlift in North America, reaching amazing bowl skiing and topping out at 12,840 feet.
