My husband, dog and I stayed here during a recent trip to Austin. We loved the thoughtful touches that Wade put into the house. The weather was beautiful during our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the cross breezes, hanging out on the decks & playing in the yard with our dog. The bed in the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable and the shower was divine. We made a few meals at the house and found the kitchen to be well stocked. There are several great places to eat and visit near the house, but traveling to other areas of town was easy too. Thank you again, Wade, for sharing your home. It has a relaxing, very cool vibe... and we felt very at home there.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We loved our stay at your home! I personally found it an oasis in Austin's metropolis. Architecturally the house is beautifully airy and open, but The Privacy your home offers is really remarkable! (Great outdoor dining room /living room!) Definately staying on my list of 're-visits'!! Thank you for sharing it with us!! Sincerely, JillDid you find this review helpful? Wade's 2 bedroom crib was pretty dang sweet. Although we only had the one bathroom and shower for almost 10 patrons for a week, we scheduled accordingly, and the water was always hot and high-pressured, which is hugely important. For only 2 bedrooms, the house was actually very spacious, likely due to the high ceiling structure. The deck outside was awesome for getting some sun, and having a few beers with friends at dusk. The most memorable part of the Chestnut Street property was the eclectic art collection. The numerous artworks were all conversation pieces, that supported a free-love, free-thinking lifestyle. We would definitely rent again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This place is a great spot. It was a simple bike ride to downtown (6 or so bikes were provided!) and a quick bus-ride (stops in front of the house). The area isn't the most affluent, but we felt safe and can see signs of gentrification. The house has a lot of practical style (as well as a risque type of art collection). The owner was very attentive to any inquiries while staying there, which made the overall experience wonderful. That pretty much sums it up...enjoy!Did you find this review helpful? The location was convenient, and the architecture and design of the place is great - you can see it has a kind of usonian Frank Lloyd Wright kind of vibe, which I think is very cool. Wade's taste in art is worth noting, though, as it tends toward the grotesque. Some, especially the conservative or especially young, might find it discomfiting.Did you find this review helpful? Great funky location! Clean with a helpful owner! He left restaurant recommendations which were awesome. It is in a quite neighborhood with ample parking. It is close to all the downtown fun without being in it......it is a couple mile cab ride to sixth street. I would definitely stay again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
