  We were a group of 10 who rented this place the second time for our retreat. Amazing place and great value for the money we paid. I spent a month last year looking for a place and finally zeroed in on this one. After having stayed here last year, this year's choice was a no-brainer. We loved coming back here and look forward to coming back next year again.

  We rented it for a few days around New Years and it was great. The house is huge and easily accommodated our extended family. Everything is very nice in the house as if the owners just left. Beds were made, towels available, full kitchen. The owner even left a bottle of great wine for us. The views of the lake are just great. There are a few state parks within a few minutes for short nature walks or long hikes or cross country skiing. Kids enjoyed sledding right in the back yard. It would be a great house for the summer as well. To summarize - great rental!

  This home was better than I had hoped! I brought my husband with to be laid to rest at the cemetery at his beloved West Point. I wanted a home where our extended family could be together and this was all I had hoped and more. We came from TN, CA, MO, and WI. I only wish we would have thought of a rental when we had gone back to the reunions at the Academy; it would have been a blast. The owner was so nice and was quick to answer my questions. And, if you are staying use the great booklet they have compiled on the area - their local restaurant suggestions were SUPER. I would suggest this rental to anyone (and have). It would be an awesome family retreat for the summer months when you could enjoy the lake, pool, and the many available outside "toys". Thank you so much for opening your wonderful home and making it available to our family,

  There were three generations who stayed at this lovely home for three nights during the Columbus Holiday w/e, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The home is described accurately on the listing and the photos portray it well. The only problem we found in the description is that one Double room does not have a double bed, as stated, it is a single bed that sleeps only one person, and the other Double room has a set of Bunk Beds, which were great for the kids, but they are not a set of full size beds, as stated. I think this could be confusing if you are attempting to organize sleeping arrangements before you arrive and then find less sleeping accomodations than you thought. There are many activities to enjoy w/o leaving the house. We had so much fun with the paddle boat and canoe on the lake, riding bikes, playing games of basketball and having ping-pong tournaments. It was warm enough Fri. & Sat. that the two oldest children and one adult went swimming in the lake. Regarding the owner, she was great to deal with, responding to our inquiries before we arrived. Bill, the care taker, was very responsive as well; we had a couple of things that needed taking care of and he came over and took care of them right away. One disappointment was that the wireless connection was not working during our stay when some in the party needed to get work done on their laptops. Though there is a desktop computer downstairs that worked well. Also, the odor of sulfur which occurred at times when you opened the faucets was not very pleasant. Overall, I feel this is a great house for a family or group of friends; large enough so that people are not getting in each other's way. I would definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to rent the house again in the future, being fully aware of everything and cognizant that Silvia will take care of the wireless connectivity problem and anything else that needs correcting.   We rented this house for our July family vacation. The setting of the pool and the lake was a perfect backdrop for this beautiful home. The house had every amenity we could ask for. The setting is completely private and set in a cul de sac so it was very safe, as we were 3 generations. Any questions we had during our stay were answered in a very timely manner. There was plenty to do both at the house and in the surrounding area to suit all our needs. We will definitely be planning a trip back. Thank you, Silvia, for providing our family with such wonderful memories.

  Six high school friends in our 60's met from NY, FL, PA, VA, and AR at this awesome house for a girls' weekend. It is by far the best equipped house I have ever rented. The amenities were amazing. We took full advantage of the lake (both in the canoe and the paddleboat) and the pool. The deck was wonderful as it overlooked the lake. We had a ping pong tournament and played foosball. We're all wishing we had more time there, but life interferes. We took a cruise on the Hudson and went out to dinner overlooking the Hudson afterwards. One night we used the grill and just relaxed and enjoyed the spectacular location. Thank you, Silvia, for making your home available to us. Absolutely loved it!

  This house was absolutely incredible. I rented the house with 9 other friends and there was plenty of room for all of us. We could all be together in one room and we could also go out on one of the decks, or many other rooms to have some peace and quiet. Being right on the lake was wonderful and we took a canoe ride around the lake. The house felt like home, everything you needed was there. The owner couldn't have been more pleasant to deal with and made my first experience renting a house a great one. Everyone in the house was discussing making that a place for reunions in the future. I know that I will be planning my next visit soon.

  I am part of a professional alumni forum whose mission is to help its members lead better personal and professional lives. We have an annual retreat as part of our meetings and we chose this home for our retreat. There were 12 of us and everyone of us absolutely loved this place. The house is in a very picturesque location with all amenities and a wonderful lake view. We all enjoyed this place so much that we would want to have our next retreat in this home. The owner was very helpful through the renting process and kudos to her for keeping the house and the memories associated with it in such a nice condition.

  This house was amazing. A group of friends and I rented it for a weekend getaway and were astonished by how beautiful the house as well as the surrounding area were. Could not have asked for a better place to stay at than this location. Everyone had a great time and we all enjoyed our stay.

  Hi Silvia, Thank you for everything that you did to make our stay so perfect. We got take-out food from Leo's and we were happy with our meals. Your home is so beautiful and the lake was mesmerizing! I can't put into words how perfect this was - my husband was extremely happy to have his children and grandchildren with him to celebrate his birthday. There were many matches of ping-pong with my son and & I and he still manages to be the champ! My daughter and I went for a paddle boat ride today and that too was relaxing and peaceful. My husband and I went for a walk with our grandson and I took some many great pictures of our stay. Again thank you and I hope you and your family get to enjoy many more happy times in Cornwall.
