Vacation family-style in a spacious four-bedroom farmhouse. Many updates and amenities, for up to eight people. The house includes a large eat-in country kitchen, a cozy den with a wood-burning fireplace, a large living room, a first-floor laundry room, and one and a half baths. Three bedrooms have a full-sized bed and the fourth has built-in twin beds. Bed linens and towels are included. Phone. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. We provide all cooking utensils, dishes, glassware and pots and pans.
Outside, sitting among the towering pines, is a patio with a picnic table, gas grill and outdoor fire pit, as well as furniture for lounging. A large lawn can be used for outdoor games. Smoking outside only, please. Firewood for both outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace is provided.
In addition to the house, you will have direct access to the lake via a gravel driveway for swimming, boating, water skiing or fishing for the famous land-locked salmon. There is a safe, sandy beach, pier with a boat slip for your use, a boat launch ramp next to the pier which is large enough for launching and retrieving any size power boat. Kayak and canoe rentals are just two miles away on the same Sebago Lake Basin.
You also have easy access to the world-famous Sebago Lake from the more protected Basin through a deep water channel at the north end of the Basin. A major recreational marina is located nearby in the Basin for power boat rentals, fuel and other boating supplies.
We are located in North Windham, a bustling community that is the entrance to the entire Sebago Lake recreation area. You will be minutes from shopping, cinemas and dining, as well as mini-golf, amusement parks and many other vacation activities. It is only a half-hour drive to historic Portland Headlight and harbor or the famous ocean beaches at Old Orchard. L.L.Bean is 45 minutes away in the historic town of Freeport. Freeport offers many other shopping possibilities. Mountains to the west offer more and different recreational activities. The White Mountain National Forest is a vast region filled with commercial shopping, recreational opportunities as well as spectacular scenic vistas. For those vacationing during October, the colored leaves in this area are spectacular. |
