Welcome to our beautiful home in Dangriga Town, located in southern Belize. Lewis Family Home is a private family residence, which is rented part of the year. Delightful, comfortable and well-kept, our home is family oriented, modern and safe. Near the sea, approx 3 min walk to the beach, with easy access to all parts of the country.
The upper level of the Lewis Family Home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms; a King-size bed, Queen-size bed and a bedroom with 2 twin beds. This home is located on the main and is walking distance to the beach. It is also walking distance to the town center, banks, churches and post office. It boasts a wide veranda, where you can kick-back and enjoy your sunrise coffee. Live in a real neighborhood and soak up the rhythm of the locals.
Dangriga can be accessed daily, by plane from the Belize Int'l Airport, public bus transportation from Belize City or by renting a car. Our home is located between the local Dangriga Airport and the bus terminal. Centrally located, Dangriga Town is the ideal base for Day-trips throughout the country; cayes, beach & fishing villages and other areas of interest. You can also reach the borders of Guatemala or Mexico easily from this base. Dangriga Town is in the second largest district in Belize.
For a perfect vacation combine your stay in Dangriga with time on the beach in Hopkins Village, where your meals can be arranged at Iris' Restaurant. Seine Bight and Placencia, other beach villages, are less than an hour away. You can also spend a day at one of the Southern Cayes.
Dangriga is the heart of the all encompassing Garifuna Cultural Experience. It is one thing to visit the major attractions of a destination, it is another thing entirely, to discover the heart of a destination, this includes the people, places and traditions, that only the locals know and cherish. Immerse yourself in the local culture. A home-hosted meal can be arranged, visit the local market, discover the works of local artists and make new friends. A visit to the Gulisi Garifuna Museum is a must before leaving town.
