'Anchors Away' is a great Condominium at Navy Cove Harbor located directly on Mobile Bay on Fort Morgan Peninsula. You dock your boat in slip #20, a dedicated 20 feet by 40 feet boat slip (with power) right next to the condo. This is only one of four premium units which sit directly on the bay with two balconies. The sunsets are spectacular!
Other amenities include pool, hot tub, fish cleaning station, barbecue grills, and a gazebo. Public beach access is a very short walk across the street. From the balconies you can watch ships coming in and out of Mobile Bay or schools of dolphin and other fish swim at your feet. Just steps away is a sandy beach (bayside) to walk, sail or kayak next to Bon Secure Wildlife Refuge. Even if you do not own a boat this is a great place to vacation and relax. The views and sounds of the bay are really special.
'Anchors Away' is a beautifully decorated, two bedroom, two bath Condominium with all of the upgraded features. The living area and guest bedroom have separate balconies over the water. The Condominium features include tile floors, granite countertops, and nine foot ceilings. Beds include a King, two TWINS, and deluxe queen sleeper sofa.
The new Gulf Shores Yacht Club is located next door and provides many additional amenities for the boating family. Dock store, dockside fuel, on-site charter and rental service, and full restaurant and bar.

This is a beautiful Condo with an awesome view of the harbor and the bay. The Navy Cove is a wonderful place to stay. It is like a little private, gated community. This condo is decorated very cute with a beach theme. It had everything we needed, except a Swiffer! We were first year snowbirds from Ohio and we stayed for two months and very much enjoyed every single day! I would look at the palm trees from the balcony and felt very thankful to be there instead of in the snow! I must admit that when we first arrived, we had to go to Walmart and buy a squeegee and clean all of the windows so we could enjoy the beautiful view. I also had to have an area rug in the living area removed because of the odor on it. The blue couch and chair are looking worn and should probably be covered or cleaned. I had to wash the dust ruffles on the beds and the throw rugs in the bathrooms because they were dirty. The owner may want to talk to their cleaning people, especially if you have people staying for two months. The carpet could have been cleaner too. But, even with the cleaning I had to do, I would still recommend the Navy Cove and this particular condo, because we had a great time, and we would come back. We LOVED Bushwacker Wednesday at Tacky Jack's in Gulf Shores. We also loved buying the peel and eat shrimp at the fresh fish markets in town. We enjoyed walking the beaches with our Yorkies, and picking up shells, even though it was a bit chilly out much of the time. We went to the Mardi Gras parade in Gulf Shores, we went to movies in town, and we met and got to know many other snowbirds and hope to see them all next year! Thanks "Anchors Away" for having us!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

We always have the carpet cleaned and were not aware of the issue with the area rug and have ordered a new one. If you rent again next year please feel free to call us if there are any issues. We loved the place. It was a little out of the way, but, we knew that, so we had most all the things we needed, so we did not have to go back to town. The fishing is so much fun on the boardwalk and bay. Good little exercise to the beach front. The Gulf was BEAUTIFUL, clear water and not to COLD!!!!!!!!!!! Love the PET friendly!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
