  Just got back from Sanibel, where I stayed at the Driftwood Inn for the fifth or sixth time. A beautiful place, great landscaping, beautiful screened porch, and a very short walk to the beach. And by far the best deal on the island.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

  My wife and I just returned from a four night vacation spent in the Driftwood Inn, Sanibel Island. From the moment we walked thru the door, we fell in love with our cottage. It was just like walking into your own home; everything was beautiful. The cottage was furnished throughout with wicker furniture and came with everything you needed. If love you the sterile enviroment of today's modern motels and hotels, then do not go to the Driftwood Inn; however, if you would love to feel completely comfortable and at home - this is definitely the place for you. Thanks Jane for a very memorable stay. We are eagerly looking forward to our looking forward to our next vacation at the Driftwood Inn. P. S. You might consider obtaining a "parking permit" for your stay on Sanibel Island; this allows you to park at all the public beach access points as well as the fishing beach public accesses. Also, if interested in the Sanibel Island's Federal Refuge, "Ding" Darling, you might consider buying a $12 pass that gives you unlimited access to the refuge during your stay; some great fishing in the refuge.

  We stayed here the first week of August 2010 for our 36th Anniversary . Our experience was amazing , the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome . The cottage was very clean and described very well in the listing . We have plans to return to Florida probably this year and we will call Jane and book it. We would defiently recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice place to spend some time at the beach. The transitions went very well from Kentucky , only one phone call and we were ready for our cottage. ( Thanks again Jane for bring us the other lawn chair )
