Charming apartment

This is a charming apartment with some nice period features. It was very clean, and the views were lovely. There is a local shop selling delicious muffins and The Rudder restaurant was nearby and excellent. Cape Ann has pretty towns and a dramatic coastline and we had some good meals, sometimes with live music in Gloucester itself. We didn't rent a car but it would be a good idea if you don't like walking as it is a good half hour's walk into the centre of Gloucester. However the Cape Ann bus drivers were friendly and although the bus service is infrequent compared to Europe they will drop you off where you like. One of our highlights was a whale watching trip with 3 humpbacked whales around our boat! Great place for a relaxing break!
