We stayed here with our 4 year old and the place was perfect. Comfortable for us all and the morning views of the mountains from the living room window were beautiful. The back patio and yard was a nice size to relax and get comfortable- and for our 4yr old to run around. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Clean, comfortable and just what we needed for a great stay in Tucson. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

We (husband & 2 teenagers) stayed in the property for a week while our home was being readied for our relocation to Tucson. We found the setting to be perfect for our needs. Amenities provided met our needs just fine, and it was nice to be able to spread out and enjoy a little extra space that a hotel room just wouldn't provide. I am also grateful that the owner was amenable to pets. We were traveling with our cat and that was a deal breaker for other properties. We were glad it worked out the way it did and we ended up staying at Williard St. The home is centrally located, with many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. It would have been 5 Stars if it weren't for the lack of cooling in the front office/bedroom. Air conditioning was super-efficient throughout the house with the exception of that bedroom which made it necessary for my daughter to sleep on top of the covers. Would probably be just dandy in cooler weather (it was very hot the week we were there). This is a charming little house with a great 'retro' vibe (it reminded me of my grandmother's house) and I would definitely recommend for travelers on a budget....it was a great value and Wi-Fi was a huge plus. Many thanks!

We had a great time staying in what we called "The Willard House." It came well equipped with everything we needed. The A/C worked great and got us through some hot days in the desert! We felt safe and really enjoyed our time in the rental. Thanks!

This is a very cute house in a very nice neighborhood. The house was smaller then I was excepting and the room for the kids has no door and is attached to the kitchen. It could use 2 more chairs at the dinning area and doesn't have a microwave for easy re-heating and one very small tv. Other then that we had a great stay, great Internet access, cozy master bed with huge closet,(lots of sleeping space total of 5 beds) and a beautiful backyard with great view of the sky. I really appreciate that anything you would need (foil, bandages, hair dry, toys for kids, etc.) you could find it in the different drawers within the house. Really loved Tucson and looking forward to visiting it again!

Owner response: Thank you so much for your review. We'll be getting a microwave and 2 more chairs the first week of May, and we'll be looking into installing a sliding door for the nook. Hope to see you again. Have a great Spring!

My friends and I recently attended a wedding in Tucson. We decided to split the cost of a house rather than stay in a boring corporate hotel with no personality. The house was located in a quite neighborhood, minutes from University of Arizona (where our friend studies). The house of full of charm and we immediately felt at home. Our stay was graced with the beautiful Arizona sunshine and we spent every possible moment laying out on the patio taking in the sun. We greatly utilized the outdoor grill and ate outside every evening. The booking agent was incredibly friendly and the price was extremely fair. I would most definitely stay here again if I am ever back in the Tucson area. Our stay at this house truly enhanced our Tucson experience.

Owner response: So glad you had a wonderful experience in Tucson, and glad to know our house was a part of it. We love this beautiful city and our little hacienda. Thanks, and have a great spring!

We really enjoyed the house. All that you need and close to downtown. The back yard provided a nice outdoor space to enjoy the sunsets. Found a great market,Rincon Market at the corner of Tucson and 6th st. We plan to stay again. Thanks, Pat.

The neighborhood is not perfect but not bad as well. Cozy little house kept fairly clean. Cannot say it about washer: dirt is accumulated around the door lip. There is no microwave oven. This is a very big inconvenience! Other appliances look brand new and work well. Front door badly sticks. While investigating I found out that the lock needs lubrication/adjustment: so if you press hard to the left on the door handle, you will be able to get in. Kitchen back door also sticks. The bathroom is very small. Tiles stick out and mended with caulk. The house's plumbing is very old and does not look very attractive. House heater works very well. We have not used AC. The locations and addresses of supermarkets provided by the Susan, helped a lot.

Owner response: We do the best job we can at the rate we offer. Will work on getting a microwave. Thanks!

We were pleasantly surprised and delighted by this rental home. It is a lovely centrally located classic Tucson home, that met all of our needs. My husband and are I native Tucsonans and found this retreat to be the ideal location for ourselves, our teenage son, and our two labradors, who loved playing in the large backyard. It was so convenient to have space, a washer and dryer, and a kitchen to prepare our own meals. All this years of hotel stays, I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner! There is a guest house with a resident on site and we were initially concerned it wouldn't work with our "guard" dogs, but it was no issue whatsoever. We found the owner to be accommodating, and accessible, and prompt in all regards. Plenty of room to welcome our guests to visit, and comfortably relax we felt right at home. We will definitely be back.

Owner response: Coming from native Tucsonans, this review is a true compliment. Thanks!

My family was in need of a short get-a-way and this was perfect! We even had two friends join us for three nights. There was plenty of room, the kids (10 & 8) used the bunk beds, we used the master and our friends used the futon in the family room. We had a great time playing family games in the living room and even with six of us never felt there wasn't enough room. The patio is a nice treat with the lighting, furniture and grill. Breakfast was enjoyed out there as was great conversation and wine after the kids were in bed. We even got to see a tiny gecko hanging out watching us - reminding us fondly of our Mexican Riviera vacation! It was close to the airport, downtown, and the hwy. We took full advantage of all of the owner's recommendations visiting parts of downtown, the hills, and the Desert Museum - a surprising favorite of the kids as well! It was within easy walking distance to Whole Foods, many restaurants and yummy ice cream places. We were able to walk to dinner and dessert and enjoy the warm night air. It was very nice having the washer and dryer there so that we didn't have to unpack dirty clothes. The yard was well maintained and the house very clean. It is in a quiet very pleasant neighborhood. The owners were very responsive and patient with all of our questions. As first timers to Tucson they were very helpful which made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. I look forward to staying here again and would recommend this charming house to my family and friends.

We stayed in this lovely home while house hunting before our move to Tucson and it was everything we could have wanted. It was located in the middle of everything, and right next to wonderful things like Yoga Vida studio, Whole Foods, Ike's coffee, and Fronimo's Greek restuarant to name a few. We felt like true native Tucsonans staying in this historic place with the gorgeous native landscape back yard, cozy front porch, and beautiful sunsets surrounding us. The kitchen had everything we needed, the air conditioning was efficient and comfortable, and the character of the original building still shone through. I highly recommend it as a home base to explore Tucson and it's surroundings, and as a comfortable retreat to come home to after an active day.
