My son at the foot of Marymere Falls. A short hike away. Sol Duc Falls. Unbelievable, like being dropped off in Borneo. Close by. Storm King hike overlooking Lake Crescent. A leg burner, but near by.

One of our best cabin rentals EVER! Great location, easy access to all the sites/hikes in Olympic National Park that we wanted to see and do. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and well equiped plus there is a washer and dryer. Very comfortable king bed with nice linens. But the best thing about this cabin is the view. From inside or outside the view is incredible! There are multiple decks and outside seating options. The hot tub is an added bonus. Randy made the rental process very easy and had great hiking recommendations. 2nd beach was our favorite hike. After you walk through old growth forest, decend some steep stairs ,climb across some large beach logs you will be rewarded with stunning beach scenery. If you planning a vacation in Olympic National Park area this rental will be one of the highlights of the trip. So relaxing and beautiful.

If you are contemplating booking this house for your vacation, I will save you the trouble of looking at other, you need to book it NOW!! There is not one thing I could say as a negative to our visit....the house was within close distance to the most amazing hikes we have been on, but isolated enough we could feel like it was just the 2 of us on the whole lake. The house is so well-appointed, clean and "home feeling" we really, truly did not want to leave after 6 days. Every picture is 100% accurate if not even more beautiful in person. The only way we justified leaving to ourselves is knowing we will be returning very soon! The house, the lake, the whole area....just perfection!

It's hard to believe, the this home and the property are even more beautiful than the pictures. My fiance and I spent five days in Randi and Madi's amazing home and it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. The views of the lake were breathtaking, whether you were sitting on the deck in the hot tub or looking out the floor to ceiling windows from inside the house. The home was stocked with everything we could possibly need and had so many special touches that made us feel right at home. Randi was so thorough in giving us all of the information we needed to make our trip special, from where to go hiking to making sure we had the appropriate vehicle for the terrain. We traveled 7 hours to visit Lake Sutherland (4 hour flight from Chicago and a 3 hour drive from Seattle) and we would do it again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for a relaxing get-away, this is your house. Thank you Randi and Madi for making our vacation something we will be talking about for a long time.

What a truly amazing place! Perfect home for a perfect vacation! The view was spectacular especially sitting out on the deck drinking coffee before getting our day started and relaxing with a glass of wine as we unwound from a fabulous day of hiking and birding. The most organized rental we've stayed in and the decor was a joy. We loved discovering all the little touches and really had fun feeding the fish. The kitchen was a joy to cook in with everything we needed and we didn't have to "make due". Randy, your suggestions and advice were spot on and so helpful. Randy and Madi, thanks so much. We had the best time. Give Cosmos a scratch behind the ears for us. We really hope to return again.

This chalet was exactly as advertised. It's difficult to add much beyond all the other wonderful reviews of it. We selected it for the privacy it offered and a location for exploring Olympic National Park. Everything you could possibly need, this place has, with great attention to detail, even fresh flowers in the bathrooms. We spent 4 days in and around the National Park; touring Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake and Lodge, Sol Duc Hot Springs and Falls, the Pacific Beaches, and Cape Flattery. Randy's advice was very helpful, especially about Cape Flattery. We greatly enjoyed the beauty of the Cape with a brief stop at the Native American museum on the way. The closeness to Port Angeles for a three day round trip ferry ride to Victoria, Canada was also a real plus. After returning from Victoria, we drove east through mountains to Lake Chelan for four days which was a perfect ending to our 50th wedding anniversary trip, all parts of which gave us more wonderful memories to add to our marriage journey. We are so grateful we selected Randy and Madi's property. It was perfect in every way.

My husband and I vacationed for a week here. What a dream! We needed quiet, serenity, beauty, and isolation from "the world". We got it! This home is a charming, very clean, nicely decorated. Owners are artists. Their glass art and beautiful paintings decorate your surroundings. There is SO much to describe that gave us absolute peace here! The views are awesome! I woke up early each morning to sit on the deck overlooking the lake, watching the squirrels, chimpmunks, nuthatches, and jays! I believe I spent more than 50% of our stay on the deck. I walk with a cane and am disabled but was still able to use the stairs slowly to the water front, 5 times! Furniture was very comfortable, everything u need is provided. PLEASE pack light! Madi has provided soaps, lotions, plush towels and blankets everywhere, shampoo, body wash! I can't say enough of the beauty inside and out!! Also, the whole home is in best condition, everything is spotlessly clean! Dictionary definition of Idyllic? Maid and Randy's Chalet! We WILL be back!

One of the best VRBO's ever. Everything was as described, but better. The location & views are truly breathtaking. Sitting in the hot tub, looking out on the lake, seeing a bald eagle swoop down... and the weather was magnificent. Day trips to Victoria, Sequim, Hurricane Ridge & Sol Duc. But just sitting on the dock was the most relaxing thing. Eat at Granny's up the road, and pet the cat with 6 toes & the dwarf goats. How much better could it be?

We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday, and what a treat it was staying at this gorgeous home! Our mouths dropped open when we set foot on the property. There are so many little touches and details, like supplying binoculars to watch the bald eagles skimming the lake in search of fish. My husband loved paddling out in the canoe every morning. We both loved sitting in the hot tub after spending the day hiking in the nearby trails. Wish we could've spent more time there.

Every July, Chris and I find a cabin to spend his birthday and our summer vacation. The Chalet on Lake Sutherland was by far our absolute favorite. We spent 7 days enjoying every aspect of the property. We fished, canoed, floated on the water rafts, took naps in the hammock, enjoyed the hot tub, grilled amazing dinners and gazed at the stars at night. We enjoyed watching the eagles, kingfishers, otter, fish, ducks, deer, double-crested cormorant and one evening a northern pygmy owl! The Chalet itself is so beautiful...you can definitely feel the love that has been poured into this fantastic get-away spot. We originally planned on doing a few day hikes but never wanted to leave. The Lake Chalet had everything at our fingertips for a perfect, relaxing vacation. Thank you Randy and Madi.

What a spectacular piece of heaven. We came in very late, so my first view was awakening in the morning to the view of the lake. Breathtakingly beautiful, serene, peaceful, soul filling. Thank you for the attention to detail. So welcoming.

Owner response: I know how taxing travel can be, and there's nothing you want more than to just arrive. When I know someone is getting in late, my silent consolation is that they will wake up to a view that will knock their socks off.

Our 'wall of windows' looks out over a jaw-dropping vista of water and mountain scape. 3) Our attention to detail, and to bending over backwards to accommodate you. Our guest book gushes with thanks and praise. 4) All the other things to do...day trip to Victoria BC from a ferry right out of Port Angeles, river rafting the famous Elwah, fishing off the dock, or chartering out of Neah Bay...it goes on and on! We know what there is to do, and are happy to help you plan your moments.
