Nothing is more relaxing than this. Pure romance.

Nothing is more relaxing than this. Pure romance. Lake Sutherland, with Lake Crescent in background. We are on sunny north shore. Go out on the lake... and this awaits your return. Alluring arrival view. The lake changes color constantly. See what I mean! Our house is set back from the shore for privacy. You see how clear the water is. Mostly spring feed. As you walk in... Fully equipped kitchen... with a view. Other side of Great Room, kitchen at rear. Master loft bedroom...looks out over lake and ridges. Upstairs bath (can't see the shower). Downstairs queen bedroom. Bon fire area behind house, overlooking lake. Wood supplied. Ready for s'mores? There are steps, and a rock path to the shore. Use our picnic basket and acrylic ware to bring down a lunch. This starts to capture the left-to-right panorama of the soaring ridges. Fingers of morning fog dance across the lake and through the ridges. My daughter caught these right off the dock! My son at the foot of Marymere Falls. A short hike away. Storm King hike overlooking Lake Crescent. Also near by! Sol Duc Falls. Unbelievable, like being dropped off in Borneo. Close by. View from Hurricane Ridge, into the heart of the Olympics.

Port Angeles house description

'Like waking from a dream'... that's a typical reaction to this truly magical, romantic property. There simply isn't another place quite like this. It is a genuinely discriminating destination. From our artwork inside, to Nature's artwork outside...when you arrive, you will realize you have found a little piece of heaven in one of the most remarkable places on earth. Just read the reviews! Check-in is a breeze, and each booking is given meticulous attention to detail.

Imagine looking out a twenty foot wall of windows to a soaring vista of sparkling emerald water and the magnificent Olympic peaks. Our home is meant for romance, with a private setting nestled in the trees.

This intimate waterfront home on Lake Sutherland near Port Angeles allows easy access to one of the worlds most untouched National Parks and all it's grandeur...glacial fed waterfalls, old growth hiking trails, pristine pacific beaches, breath taking Hurricane Ridge, salmon-run Sol Duc and Elwha Rivers, gorgeous Lake Crescent, renowned Hoh rainforest, and the diverse wildlife of the worlds largest temperate rainforest.

Built by a cabinet maker, the house embraces you with the warmth of knotty pine. With an emphasis on intimacy, the home is luxuriously equipped with special artistic touches in every corner to make your stay memorable in every way. In the morning, lie in bed and watch wisps of fog dance through the distant valleys in the far cliffs. Pack light, and let your hosts provide an unforgettable getaway that offers year round reasons to book your anniversary, honeymoon, or family getaway. Spectacular Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls are just minutes away. We offer a 'things to do list', but don't forget to schedule time to simply unwind in this peace of paradise. Soothe in the hot tub, dine overlooking the lake, relax in the hammock from one of the most private and secluded settings on the lake.

Off season provides splendid lakefront solitude for writers or artists, or anyone longing simply to put up their feet and unwind. During the fall, layers of yellow aspens grace the far ridges. Snow capped mountains enhance the jaw dropping view winter and spring.

A limited number of neighbors share occasional access to shore.

When you arrive, and take it all in, you will realize you have found a little piece of heaven... truly magical. Perhaps the most obvious attraction is the setting on the lake, and the view across to Storm King Ridge (nothing quite like it). Besides all the activities, this is the place for unwinding, deep breathing, first honeymooning, second honeymooning, serious romancing....moreless

My wife was looking for a quite calm place to rest, my daughter was looking for green mountains and waterfalls. I was looking for hot tubs and lake access. You multiply that times a million and you would be scratching the surface to the best get away vacation spot ever.. From the front facing 2 story open windows seen though-out the entire home, to all the home comforts built in, wifi, cable, kitchens, open decks, built-in stoves, bathrooms, full laundry, the list goes on and on. We had such a great time at the cabin, we were tore how to leave it. It was more then you expect and better then can be explained. I will be coming back (well WE WILL BE) time and time again...

Living in a big, noisy city, we found ourselves decompressing the moment we arrived at this incredible place. The cabin is so well appointed, thoughtfully and with obvious care by the owners. It was such a pleasure to be surrounded by the peace and tranquility of this lake-front cabin. It's private and peaceful and sooooooo quiet. Ahhhhhhhhh's of relaxation is what we both said when we arrived, then, running like kids down to the dock, checking out the canoe and deck chairs, up to the hammock and then the upper deck with the hot tub. Nature was at its finest with fall colors and perfect sunny skies. We awoke every morning to the spectacular scene of the sun burning mist off the lake and leaves gently falling. Why would we ever want to leave? We will most certainly be back. We recommend day trips - a hike up to Marymere Falls - and a MUST is Rialto Beach (no matter what the weather, it is amazing).

We couldn't have been more pleased and comfortable with the lakefront chalet! There was so much to see around Olympic Ntl Park, but it was difficult to leave the lovely chalet! We definitely plan to return.

The pictures on the VRBO listing for this property are exactly as you will find when you arrive. It is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for the perfect stay on the Olympic Peninsula. The four of us spent very relaxing mornings drinking coffee outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. We ventured out for day trips to Cape Flattery, Hurricane Ridge and Rialto Beach and were back in time to cook our fresh seafood dinner and relax on one of the three decks provided. The Only day returned after dark was the day we went to Victoria, BC. Wine in the hot tub was the finishing touch to a beautiful day. We had the pleasure to stay at the chalet for 10 days, the owners where beyond excellent host, the house is more than the pictures can possibly capture, comfy, quiet and a fully equipped kitchen made our stay to feel that we where in our own home, close to everything in the area we got to go hiking , visited local farmers market but the most rewarding thing for us was to be able to stay in the chalet from morning to night with out a phone call or somebody knocking on your door, fishing from the dock having some wine or just plain relaxing is just one of the many things this chalet has to offer, may i add that all furniture and beds and just everything is super comfortable highly recommend this amazing chalet.

Our vacation was made so much more enjoyable by staying in the luxury lakefront chalet. The location of the chalet let us do everything on the list from Victoria Island, Coastal Hiking, Waterfalls Hiking, Rainforest and at the end of the day we enjoyed the hot tub for our tired muscles and the quiet and seclusion of the lake with all the modern amenities. The photos were accurate it is lovely, clean and well maintained. The owner was more than helpful with our questions and I would recommend this property at all times.

This lake chalet was exactly as pictured and described and yet neither words nor pictures do it justice. It was quiet, peaceful and well appointed without being ostentatious. We had everything we needed. The owners were helpful prior to our stay and through the stay but never intrusive. The house is perfectly located to explore broad swaths of the Olympic Peninsula. We hiked everyday in a different setting and came back to a therapeutic soak in the hot tub. Thanks for your part in providing us with our dream vacation.

One of our best cabin rentals EVER! Great location, easy access to all the sites/hikes in Olympic National Park that we wanted to see and do. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and well equiped plus there is a washer and dryer. Very comfortable king bed with nice linens. But the best thing about this cabin is the view. From inside or outside the view is incredible! There are multiple decks and outside seating options. The hot tub is an added bonus. Randy made the rental process very easy and had great hiking recommendations. 2nd beach was our favorite hike. After you walk through old growth forest, decend some steep stairs ,climb across some large beach logs you will be rewarded with stunning beach scenery. If you planning a vacation in Olympic National Park area this rental will be one of the highlights of the trip. So relaxing and beautiful.

If you are contemplating booking this house for your vacation, I will save you the trouble of looking at other, you need to book it NOW!! There is not one thing I could say as a negative to our visit....the house was within close distance to the most amazing hikes we have been on, but isolated enough we could feel like it was just the 2 of us on the whole lake. The house is so well-appointed, clean and "home feeling" we really, truly did not want to leave after 6 days. Every picture is 100% accurate if not even more beautiful in person. The only way we justified leaving to ourselves is knowing we will be returning very soon! The house, the lake, the whole area....just perfection!

It's hard to believe, the this home and the property are even more beautiful than the pictures. My fiance and I spent five days in Randi and Madi's amazing home and it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. The views of the lake were breathtaking, whether you were sitting on the deck in the hot tub or looking out the floor to ceiling windows from inside the house. The home was stocked with everything we could possibly need and had so many special touches that made us feel right at home. Randi was so thorough in giving us all of the information we needed to make our trip special, from where to go hiking to making sure we had the appropriate vehicle for the terrain. We traveled 7 hours to visit Lake Sutherland (4 hour flight from Chicago and a 3 hour drive from Seattle) and we would do it again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for a relaxing get-away, this is your house. Thank you Randi and Madi for making our vacation something we will be talking about for a long time.
