We stayed at this condo for 5 days and wished it could have been longer. The location was excellent and the views are beautiful. Falling asleep listening to the sound of the ocean was a highlight as were walks on the beach and rocks. The condo is very nicely outfitted and we had everything we needed. It is located close to the main street in Ocean Beach so there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Toni was very easy to work with and everything went smoothly. We hope to back back again and highly recommend this condo.

My wife and I stayed at this condo for most of February, 2012, and we were very pleased with our choice! The condo is very well equipped, easy to keep tidy, and the floor plan is a delight, with superb unobstructed ocean views from both the living/dining area and the master bedroom. Our 25-year old son joined us for President's Day weekend, and he was able to retire to the back bedroom / 2nd bathroom area, providing us each with our privacy. In addition to being well-equipped, the kitchen is large enough for two to work together, and laid out in a manner that makes everything within reach, without bumping into each other. Finally, the large lazy-boy style sofa (with his and her's recliners on each end) are a nice extra touch, proving a place to read, or (as we did) watch the Superbowl on the HD TV. It is a 10-to-15 minute walk along the rocks of the shoreline to get to the wide, sandy Ocean Beach; or, one can just sit on the balcony (just big enough for two) and enjoy the view and sunsets. The underground parking and keypad security gates make everything convenient and secure. For the past several years, we have stayed at various condos in various places for winter vacations (to escape from the long Minnesota winter season), and this so far, has been the best!

Just spent 11 days at this wonderful condo. Location was ideal, near everything. We especially enjoyed being able to listen to the ocean from the bedroom, great way to fall asleep. Condo has lots of room and kitchen is well stocked. The owner(Toni) was very helpful in making sure we had a great Thanksgiving In California. Highly recommend this condo!!!

My husband, 3 girls (7, 11, and 16) and I stayed in the condo from August 8-13, 2011. The condo is very nicely decorated. Having 3 bedrooms, (one with 2 twin beds) worked perfectly for our family of 5. My girls LOVED being steps away from the ocean. It is a very easy walk to multiple restaurants. I would recommend this condo to anyone of my friends...and would love to return, myself!

Beautiful. The pictures and description fit perfectly. We had a great time. Only suggestion is to have a second set of keys for entering the property.

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The view of the Pacific Ocean was dramatic, beautiful, and fascinating. Just the experience we hoped for, coming from the east coast. The location was removed from the hubub, but also very convenient to OB's main streets and beaches. Everything was brand-spanking clean and in working order. Beach chairs were provided. Great place!

We booked this for a long weekend at the end of April/early May. The unit is better than the photos. Great place with amazing views of the Pacific ocean, crashing waves right beneath the patio and walking distance to downtown OB, Point Loma cliffs and sandy beach. Unit was clean and equipped for a comfortable stay. Owner was available and helpful as well. Overall highly recommend and would book this in a minute.

Beautiful place, relaxing pace

Our family of five spent a wonderful three days here. The place is spacious and well maintained and has all the comforts of home with spectacular views of the ocean - especially at sundown. We saw fishermen, surfers and sailboats, and watched as a pod of dolphins swam by. There was a secure covered parking place for our car. We had high-speed access to the Internet via the Ethernet cable but were not able to connect wirelessly. The local community has several excellent restaurants and there is easy access to San Diego. We recommend the tour of the Midway. The owner is a lovely person who is very responsive, and returned our security deposit promptly. We hope to return!

There is a reason all of the reviews for the CliffSide Condo are 5 stars... it truly warrants them. This is a great homebase for a San Diego visit or just a quiet get away on the coast. If you've lived in San Diego, you know there are VERY FEW places you can stay with a view like this, a proximity so perfect, a price so reasonable, and all the perks and comforts of home. We enjoyed a huge storm, sunny clear days, sitting by the fire, and a beautiful view of dolphins, seabirds, and pelicans from the windows. It was really hard to want to venture out! The tidepools below the condo were perfect and we even saw a double rainbow over the ocean. The experience was wonderful from the first inquiry to the last goodbye. The condo was exceptionally clean and perfect for someone with allergies - down to the mattress and pillow coverings. We went down for a girls weekend and I am planning to bring my family back down again soon. It really merits 5 STARS!! Thanks, Toni!

A Perfect Spot

We spent a week over Christmas and were really pleased. And that is no small feat when our stay coincided with the recent downpour that hit Southern California. I attribute that in large part to the features of the condo. It served as ground zero for our family's activities when the weather was inclement. The size of the condo, the very comfortable appointments and open layout of the condo allowed our three kids (two teenagers and an eight year old) plenty of space to enjoy themselves, and all the while we could still enjoy the sounds and sights of the ocean from the condo itself. The best measure was that our kids loved it, had no complaints, and began lobbying me to have us return next year.

This Enchanting Cliffside Condo in Ocean Beach is fantastic! The location in Ocean Beach, a community both charming and funky, is perfect for walks, access to Newport Avenue and the Farmer's Market. The unit is clean and provides everything you need for a home away from home stay. In addition, it is also quiet and safe, and the secured parking is an added bonus. The sound of the surf is magical and I can't wait to come back.

We just recently stayed at the Enchanting Cliffside Condo, and us girls all had a great time! The location can't be beat! The view and the sound of the ocean is wonderful! The condo feels very comfortable; like home. The funky OB area is fun to visit, with all the shops and restaurants. Another great thing about the rental is Toni, who helps with the rental arrangements. She is very quick to respond to your questions, and booking your arrangements. Very good service! We plan on staying here again!

WoW! The Enchanting Cliffside Condo was Great!!

The Enchanting Cliffside Condo is the perfect place to stay while in Ocean Beach. The listing is perfectly stated, with all amenities, excellent layout, and easily accessible and secure parking. I enjoyed being able to watch and hear the waves hit the cliffs on "our cove" even while I was "working" in the well equipped and aestetically pleasing kitchen. But, the website pictures do not do justice to the magnificent view from the Master Bedroom Suite, which is breathtaking for anyone who enjoys the openness of the outdoors, sunsets, and all the Pacific coast has to offer. The condo is close to everything - plenty to do in the neighborhood, but a quick and easy drive to all major San Diego attractions. We kept busy walking on the cliffs, checking out the tidepools, swimming and kayaking, collecting stones and shells, enjoying the view, sunbathing, the Wed. farmer's market on Newport, watching the many surfers and also had time for Balboa Park, Seaworld, Old Town, and even my son's wedding. Many of the local restaurants and pubs offer a wide variety of great food and beverages. The environment is friendly and relaxing. Ocean Beach is a gem along the Pacific where a relaxing 70's atmosphere exists, not yet over-developed, yet there is activity and fun all around. The time passed too quickly and I would go back whenever possible. Toni is excellent in her customer service and professionalism. I would highly recommend the Enchanting Cliffside Condo to a friend, relative, or any one in search of accommodations in OB. Thank you, Toni!

Great Vacation Getaway!

This home is magnificent. It is exactly how it looks like in the photographs, especially the view! My friends and I had a great time here and will definitely come back. We already started telling all our friends about it. We had Pizza Port on one of the days after we went jet skiing in Mission Bay. Def a must try for all the pizza lovers. Next time I come back, I'll def try Hodad's which I hear is also a must. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was very soothing. House is well equipped with everything you can think of, especially the kitchen. Wish I was back in OB :) Thanks for everything Toni!

Beach Oasis

This is a quiet, relaxing retreat. I loved the master bedroom, and always kept the window open to enjoy the sound of the surf. The condo is perfectly clean, well-stocked and well maintained. I appreciated the isolation between the master and other bedrooms. The combination locks made access easy. During the evening, it's a short walk to a dozen choices for dinner at the Ocean Beach Village. We recommend Pizza Port for great beer and good pizza in a fun atmosphere. From the minute you turn the corner to see the expansive ocean view, you know you are on vacation. Toni has thoughtfully provided any item that you could need for your stay. The directions to this convenient and centrally located condo were so helpful. This was the perfect condo for our San Diego vacation. We absolutely loved hearing the roll of the ocean waves and the expansive, beautiful views were so memorable.

We stayed in the Cliffside Condo by the Sea for 5 nights while in San Diego to attend our son's Marine Corps boot camp graduation. What a great place. Everything was neat, clean and well appointed. It easily accomodated our travel party of 5. The proximitiy to Ocean Beach business district is convenient. And the view!!! I highly recommend this rental.

Very nice condo and LOTS of room. Everything was clean and of course the view was incredible. Despite our stay during the most rain in any 4 day period Southern California has ever seen it was still a great place to stay. We would stay again! Toni was a pleasure to talk to and met all our needs and answered all our questions. She even had a bottle of my wife's favorite wine waiting at the condo for her 40th birthday! If there was any downside at all it would be the quality of the surrounding neighborhood. Seems more than half of the homes surrounding the condo were not well cared for; possibly a reflection of our current economic condition? Overall I would rate our stay an 8 out of 10. I would rate the condo itself a 9 out of 10 :)

Owner response:OB is a blast from the past. It used to be a small beach community and still is very laid back. As a native San Diegan, I have seen many changes happen in OB. The small beach cottages are being bought and remodeled. Duplexes and condos are also being built. And some owners want it to stay the same. Everyone comes to the beach to enjoy the gorgeous landscape, the salt air, waves, and to escape from everyday life.

We took our son and his family to OB for a vacation and to visit our other son and his wife. The condo was just what we wanted, clean, modern and comfortable. Although the balcony is a bit small the condo is spacious and well appointed. Our young grandsons enjoyed the eazy access to the beach. If you use the grill be sure to do it before it's gets dark. OB has a farmer's market every Wed. evening - great place for fresh foods. The condos underground parking is a must. We highly recommend this location, close to everything and overlooking the ocean. I miss the sounds of the sruf already.

We had a great time! The condo was easy to get to with secured underground parking making it always easy to get in and get out. It was also spacious and comfortable with a great ocean view and private cove. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from OB beaches and also close to Sea World and downtown San Diego. Toni was a pleasure to work with, always easily available and responsive to any request. We will definitely come back next summer!

The description of this property was completely accurate. It was immaculate and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and available when needed. I would definitely recommend this condo to a friend. OB is a relaxed place to stay with easy walks to the beach, pier, stores and restaurants. We loved Sea World and Legoland, and Shades restaurant in OB. Our group had an age range between 5 and 50, including teens, and everyone wanted to stay longer than one week.

This was our first visit to this beautiful property. Everything we wanted or needed (restaurants, shops, etc.) was within walking distance. The condo is in a great location making it easy to get to all kinds of San Diego attractions. Our family loved the condo, the view, Ocean Beach, the comfortable beds, and playing in the surf. very nice condo with a beautiful view from all big windows in living room and the master bedroom. see thru gas fireplace and everything you would need! cliffs w/some sand inlets, very impressive waves. walk to pier and Ocean Beach easy and nice. cool little "original" beach town.
