Raven’s Knee is a tasteful and relaxing retreat in the village of South Thomaston. South Thomaston is next to Owls Head and Spruce Head and just 10 minutes from Rockland and 15 minutes from the village of Tenants Harbor.

Situated on a knoll, the house has a large well manicured lawn and a rolling field. Raven’s Knee is just a 15 minute walk to the village for coffee on the morning and a 10 minute drive to several of the areas most scenic and beautiful beaches. It’s a perfect place to start each day of your vacation in the Midcoast.

Raven’s Knee is a renovated 1800’s center chimney cape – the owners have retained the original charm and feature of this classic New England but have updated it with modern amenities that are expected.

Raven’s Knee is clean, classic, updated and comfortable. It’s a house that speaks for itself as it has for a hundred years.

Description: The 3 original fireplaces are the centerpiece of the house – one in the den, one in the living room and a large fireplace in the dining room. The dining room is functional and elegant at the same time. The table can seat 6-8 easily.

Off the dining room find a half bath, a bedroom with a twin bed and the two living areas – the den and the living room. The living room is more formal without being stuffy – this is a perfect place to come to after dinner or entertaining. The den is casual – this is a great place to read, relax, play games on the large coffee table or just take a nap. Each room has the benefit of lots of natural light thanks to a multitude of large windows.

Description, continued: The kitchen is what every kitchen should be – functional and well equipped and set up to be the center of the house. Lots of counter space and an island with seating for 4. It is a large kitchen with picture windows overlooking the house’s acreage and beyond. This is the place where everyone will gather.

Upstairs, find 3 bedrooms and a full bath. There are two master bedrooms – each with a queen bed. The third bedroom has a twin bed. The first master is more modern with skylights and views – the second feels more traditional.

Outside find a classic farmer’s porch with outdoor seating and grill. There are Adirondack chairs that can be moved around the property to take advantage of the views as they change throughout the day. The house is equipped with WiFi and a washer and dryer for guest use.
