My first trip to Black Mountian, in fact, my time seeing the mountains! I found this cabin online and fell in love with it right away. I looked at other cabins but this one was the delight of my eye. Had no problem with the directions and we arrived right at check in time. The cabin was very neat and clean, very cozy for us. We didn't spend much time outside cause it was a little cold. We met the owner while we were there, very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives and of course I want to return back here again, staying longer next time so I could enjoy sitting outside on the deck! We went sightseeing at Lake Lure and Chimney Rock and ate at Phil B -B -Cue Pit.

Where could I escape to for some quiet time before school starts back and before I would begin a new school year with 25 5-year-old kindergarten students? A little research on the internet and I FOUND IT ! I haven't been to the actual town of Black Mountain since I was a child, even though I don't live that far away, and this little cabin appeared to be the perfect place for me AND...... the price was right! After reviewing previous comments and hearing how clean it was, how nice the owners were, how it was spacious yet cozy, I reserved it! I wasn't sure if my daughter was going to be able to join me so I was especially interested in feeling safe. All of the above were true. Although the owners were out of town, we did talk on the phone and when I realized I left my brand new travel scrabble game by the tv, they were kind enough to mail it to me the very next day! My daughter ended up joining me for two nights and we had such fun exploring the town of Black Mountain, hiking up mountains before sunset for her photography hobby and MY exercise, and having a quiet place to sit and talk. I wish the dirt road was paved but the cleanliness of the house, the convenience of it being so close to town, the kind hospitality of the owners, will have me returning again. I was a bit concerned that the small window air conditioning unit may not keep us cool enough on this especially warm time in the NC mountains, but it did just fine! It was a wonderful mother/daughter weekend away and gave me the quiet I needed before the storm!.

I can't say enough about this darling cabin in the woods. It is warm, cozy and immaculately kept. It is close to Asheville, Lake Lure and of course the town of Black Mountain. We were very busy exploring during the day and it was so nice to come home to such a relaxing cabin. The owners made sure we had everything that we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this cabin.

We spent 5 days here while our son was at a conference at nearby Rdigecrest, and it was quite delightful! We have travelled alot over 34 years and this is definately a highlight. The cabin is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful. The only problem we had was not enough time at the cabin as we has so many things we wanted to do! This was a perfect home base for our adventures. I hope someday to be able to come back. I have never written a review before, but I had this time. I absolutely, HIGHLY, recommend this cabin.

We spent a week recently at this cozy, comfortable, cabin tucked away in a quiet wooded location. The cabin was very clean with all the ammenities we could want. We were close to Black Mountain and the surrounding scenery in this area of NC is breathtaking. We enjoyed the shops in Black Mtn and especially that the town is "dog-friendly." Our 2 dogs loved the nearby creek and the walks we were able to take with them. I would definitely like to visit the cabin again sometime in the future.

Spent the first day in some Asheville antique barns and then grabbed a meal at one of the nice places down in town (Coach House) and then up the mountain and to sit in the cool breeze on the porch (maybe next time they will have a porch swing and I will not even come down the mountain). Next day, walked thru all the Black Mountain shops and stopped by Father's Pizza and Pasta, then back up the mountain and then Mother Nature pitched a hissy fit! When the storm passed, the breeze was cool and clean. Oh, when it gets dark it gets DARK! This is not a place for those looking for excitement and action, it is pure relaxation. Just what I wanted.... The owners are close by, so if there is a problem, they can help but they don't bother you at all. They take care of the cabin and their renters.

This cabin was perfect for our recent visit to Black Mountain. The location was secluded, yet close to the town of Black Mountain. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The landscaping was beautiful and the deck was perfect for sitting outside in the fresh mountain air. I definitely recommend this cabin!
