We are 3 couples who spent 4 nights in this condo in March. It was very spacious and was comfortable to have meals and to sit on the outside patio. (Only 3 chairs outside so we had to use dining chairs.)The photos were very accurate. The views of the city are spectacular and we enjoyed several beautiful sunsets over the causeway. We cooked our breakfasts each morning and two lunches. The appliances were fine. It was very hot outside and we really enjoyed the air conditioning. We spent some time at the pool. The VRBO description doesn't say that the washer and dryer are not in the unit. They are on the pool level floor. We also were told that detergent would be supplied and there was none. Our flight into Panama City was delayed by 3 hours and we tried to contact someone to tell Rosa that we would be late. The Amador hotel didn't know anything about the rental and Rosa wasn't there when we arrived. Luckily our driver could communicate with the security man and figured that Rosa was in the condo. Luckily we found someone at the condo who called Rosa for us and she let us in. As others have said Rosa basically gave us the key and left. We knew nothing about an office on site or had Rosa's number. If we had not had a Spanish speaking driver with us, I don't know how we would have found the condo. We found the stairs down to the town and found that it an easy walk down and a good cardio exercise to get back up. We were totally ripped off the first night when we paid $10 to a taxi to just go up the hill! It would have been nice to have some information in the condo that would give some taxi prices to different areas, and to give some restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed staying in the causeway area. It was a quiet respite from the city. It did get expensive using taxis to get around, but we didn't want to have a rental car in Panama City. This condo worked our very nicely for us. I would recommend it to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This apartment has one of the best views in Panama and is nestled high on one of the Amador Causeway islands away from the mosquitos and with a nice breeze. There are three great size bedrooms making it perfect for a young or older family. The common area is great for entertaining and we used it to entertain our family while we were in for a wedding. The location is proximate to a good selection of restaurants, handy to the ferries, tour starts and old Panama. If you want you can almost completely avoid the inevitable Panama traffic and its a short ride to the airport. The only complaint was that there was only a single set of keys which made it a pain as we tended to come and go t different times. Although we asked at check in and subsequently they did not seem willing to have another set made available. The response time to email was a day or so although Rosa did phone us back fairly quickly when an AC unit failed. The kitchen is well equipped and the appliances are fine. We liked the showers which are as cool as they look in the photos. We would definitely stay the next time we are in town.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just got back from 10 days in Panama City and this apartment made all the difference! We ended up over one hour late (due to getting lost) and Rosa stayed and waited for us which we did not expect. The apartment is huge and has all most, if not all, the necessities to make a meal and be generally comfortable. The rooms are huge! We did not realize that there were balconies accessible by each room giving people privacy when they wanted it. The view, is phenomenal and they really should showcase it more on this site. We were able to see sunrise, sunset, the city at night and amazing lightning storms from the comfort of our balcony. It was truly amazing. Also, Yoni and Rosa and the guys that work at the building were great! The air conditioner went out in the Master bedroom and they had someone over to fix it the very next day. They also warned us about a "planned" power outage. The amenities in the building are also great except that we went downstairs to barbecue and there was no gas in the grill. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I recommend having a car if you stay here as it is on a rather steep hill.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Four of us (all Seniors) rented this wonderful apartment for 3 nights. The apartment was huge with a very large balcony and awesome view of Panama City and ships going thru the canal. Master BR was super. The 3 showers were space age. We were all able to take a shower, but never figured out the fancy stuff. We were told to meet Rosa at the Amador Ocean View Hotel and she would walk us to the apartment. She was 20 minutes late and we were worried. The hotel did not know Rosa. My husband decided to step outside the lobby and there was Rosa sitting in a chair. We wish she would have thought to peek inside. She spoke no English whatsoever. We are ready to start walking when she hails a cab. But, we are a party of 4 with bags so the cab took 2 and Rosa and came back after the guys. Now were are wondering where we are going as we were suppose to walk. The cab went up a hill and around and around a hillside. Rosa takes my sister and I up to the apt. We ask questions, but get no response. She put the keys down and left. We look at each other in shock. No communication as our cell phones did not work there. Too far to walk anywhere. How do we get a cab? We have no food. Once our husbands arrived, they discovered steps (150 to 200) down to the street where restaurants, bars, small store, shops were located. Later, we were told to be careful on the steps as poisonous spiders/snakes are under the leaves. You do have to take a cab back up the hill unless you are young and in shape. Many great restaurants and if you walk to the nearest Island, there are super restaurants and Duty Free Shop. If you are English speaking, there are no instructions for anything in the apt. On our 2nd day, we discovered there is an office in the bldg and they speak English. Luke was awesome. The apt. needs new sheets. Worn and no longer white. Icemaker slow. Also, the BBQ had no gas, but you would have to take a 30 min. cab to Panama City to buy meat. There was no dishwasher soap or dish soap. The pool was nice. Great place to rent.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We were two couples that visited Panama for a friend's wedding and decided to book a week and relax at a nice condo with a nice view and plenty of space to lounge in. Well this condo was perfect for that, the pictures show exactly what you fill find, the place is clean and well maintained. Yoni (the owner), and Rosa (Yoni's right hand) are great/easy to work and communicate with. The club house area is great, we had it all to ourselves all week long, spent a couple days in the pool, and also played some pool and there was no one in the area. The condo is not busy with permanent tenants, we only ran into a handful of people during our 7 day stay and it was only in the parking lot. The one thing i would like to see updated are the window curtains in the master bedroom that are next to the bed, although they are new and look great with the decor, they are beige so light goes right through them. I normally sleep until 10am while on vacation but every day i was waking up at 7:30am and could not go back to sleep because it was so bright in the room. We did a little bit of cooking and the basic pots and pans were available, as well as utensils, cups, glassware, etc... I highly recommend this place if you want to relax and have a beautiful view from anywhere in the house, it is the 3rd building up on a beautiful hill (Isla Perico) that overlooks the cargo ships entry to the beginning of the Canal. It is also perfectly located for dining. Every single restaurant (except Flamenco) is amazing, i highly recommend Beirut, Lenos y Carbon, Bucaneros, & El Muelle. They are all located within a 2 minute drive (you must rent a car in you want to stay here, no way around it) past the condo. There's a few more right in the same area but we did not dine in them. If you're considering this condo, then i say you book it, you won't regret it. Oh, almost forgot... we had sheep and a sloth right by the parking lot in the condo, i thought it was great and very unique... and we miss the birds singing in the mornings.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first time to Panama. The condo was a perfect place to come home to after my husband's business meetings and touring the sights of Panama City & local areas. It was very peaceful and the views from the balcony at night were absolutely stunning. We loved just hanging out, having a glass of wine and taking in the beauty. I don't know why the previous poster had all these negative comments. Some people are just out to complain I guess. Both Rosa our manager and the owner were very accommodating during our stay and we really could not have been treated better. Will be back again!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The condo was a great deal. We didn’t really need this large of a place, but it was the same price or less than a hotel room. My wife loved the décor and the views are absolutely stunning. Our only complaint was we couldn’t stay longer. We will definitely stay here again when we return.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This condo has a very nice view of the Bay. One can sit on the deck and watch the ships enter the Canal and in the evening see the lights of Panama City. This condo does not have an infinity pool that is stated in the ad. It has a regular pool. During our stay for the first 8 days we were there the water was off for 6 of them. If it wasn't for Luke we would have not had any water or been kept up to date on the situation. Emails were sent to the owners and only certain ones were responded to. The individual that looks after the condo, does not speak a word of English, therefore communication was very difficult. There was inadequate dishes and we had to buy some of our own. The condo is for 6 people with chairs on the deck for only three. We were not given an orientation to the facility - for example how to use the phone, because to just dial out does not work. It is advertised as having 24 hour security, which it does not. On many occasions there were no security present at the bottom of the hill. One big thing that is not mentioned that in order to get to the restuarants unless you want to take a cab all of the time is to walk either down a long hot road or down approximately 200 stairs. This is very difficult for individuals with any type of disability. Overall, this condo was not up to the standards that we are used to for the monies that we spent. We made the best of an unsatisfactory situation with no assistance from the owners.Owner response: I guess the old saying is true…you can’t please everyone, but lord knows we tried! No matter what we did the guest was not happy. Yes we had a water problem for 2 days, which was a building issue and nothing to do with our condo. We did all that we could to to accommodate the guest, going out of our way to purchase gallons of large water bottles and even offering to place them in a hotel at our expense until the water returned, which they declined. We had 3 people helping this guest to ensure a comfortable stay, but I guess that that still was not enough. This was the first complaint we ever had, and obviously whatever we tried to do to help, it was never enough. Needless to say, nobody every complained about lack of chairs, cups, dishes, etc., and we've had up to 8 people stay at the condo at one time, all of them very happy with their stay and overall experience. We picked up some more dishes anyway, just in case if large groups come (this was not a large group by the way). This situation was unfortunate but there was nothing we could do to satisfy this guest, even from the first moment they were picked up at the airport. We tried, but it was not enough, as we cannot please people that are set on not being happy:)

A group of us had been planning a trip to Panama for some time and found this listing on VRBO. We were looking for a comfortable space with ocean front views, balconies and a good location. All I can say is that it was great and that the condo is exactly as advertised. Thanks for everything, it was wonderful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

It’s really hard to describe this property and it’s location. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but even the photos on VRBO don’t do the experience of staying here true justice. We decided to stay here for our family vacation and we are so happy that we did. The property is just as it’s described, is incredibly clean, extremely spacious, with views that are truly to die for. There are many family activities around and daily ferries to nearby islands for exotic day long getaways. If you are looking for a unique vacation experience, you will not be disappointed by staying here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
