Welcome to the cush concept home at 17 Hollyberry Lane, Greenwood Forest, in Sea Pines. What is the "cush concept"? Please read on-- we would love to tell you!
Our philosophy as owners is that your vacation experience- be it 3 days or 3 months- should be completely comfortable. We accomplish this by offering a spotlessly clean home, beautifully decorated in our signature coastal chic style, and we have equipped our homes with what we consider to be absolute necessities for a comfortable stay:
Hollyberry House is light and bright and I have filled it with every amenity that I appreciate when I vacation-new electronics, crisp, cotton sheets and fluffy pillows, all new appliances, and lots of information about everything to do on the Island. The pine floors and carpets are clean and fresh smelling, as are the fabulous furnishings by Coastal Chic (a great place to shop in nearby historic Bluffton.) The bright, open kitchen, featuring all new dishes and accoutrements, is a great place to boil fresh shrimp and corn on the cob...or order pizza from nearby Guiseppi's!
There is also a great grilling deck with gas grill for fresh fish or a yummy steak from the Fresh Market. Have you ever rented a vacation home only to find that the glassware is old and mismatched, the cookware is nearly non-existent, and that there MIGHT be one or two old wine glasses hidden back in the dark, stained cabinets? I have!! And I did not want that experience to greet my guests!
A spacious living room with new 37" LCD flat screen HDTV with DVD player (plus video library and Premium channels) opens to a huge deck with comfy outdoor furniture-- just the place for sunning, sipping, or chatting.
3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Queen) each boast the comfiest bed linens I could find, with "down alternative" pillows- great for those who may be allergic, as well as LCD TV/DVD in each room. Baths are all new and spic and span! There is a big laundry room with space for hanging wet things after swimming. Ceiling fans and cool AC make even the inside breezy!
Stay connected to the outside world (if you must) with high speed wireless internet from Hargray DSL. Hargray has just upgraded to 3 Meg- even faster. As a Hollyberry House client you will also receive free access to Hargray's "hot spots" all around the Island. You can even take your laptop to Harbour Town, find a rocking chair, and start surfing or check email!

PETS: We welcome your well behaved pet for a small additional fee-less than boarding and lots more fun - Greenwood Forest is a great neighborhood for dog walking! A well behaved pet is welcome to join you for $95 additional. Have a second pet clamoring to come, too? Call or email to discuss.
No pets in your party? No problem- there is NO pet smell in this house--
LOCATION: Mapquest or GoogleMap 17 Hollyberry Lane, Hilton Head, 29928, to see the exact location. Greenwood Forest is nearly equidistant from Harbour Town, South Beach, and the Beach Club -- 5 minutes by bike or 2 minutes by car to any of the three!
Bikes: Biking is the BEST in Sea Pines. Just let us know what you need and we will arrange it! You can have adult and child size bikes, toddler seats, and pull-alongs all delivered and waiting for you when you arrive. Please see our Guest Pack that you will receive when you inquire with your prospective dates of reservation.
Beach Chairs: We have 6 folding beach chairs at the house along with a big beach umbrella, sand toys and lots of beach towels. Take the umbrella with you to the beach OR-- if you prefer, you may also rent the traditional chairs and umbrellas directly from the lifeguards. Full information is in our Guest Pack, which will be emailed to you when you inquire on your vacation dates.
Beach Proximity -- Hop in your car and drive to Sea Pines Beach Club in 2 minutes. There you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, sip a cool drink at the Beach Bar, or grab a freshly grilled burger from the grill. Children's activities, full baths, and a shore store complete the Beach Club. THE OCEAN IS A 10-12 MINUTE WALK-- GOOD FOR A STROLL OR EXERCISE, BUT IF TAKING CHILDREN OR LOTS OF BEACH GARB, BETTER TO BIKE OR DRIVE.

- Best of all, this house smells good! For the enjoyment of all guests, no smoking indoors, please. Beach chairs and beach towels included at 17 Hollyberry. You may also rent the traditional beach chairs and big umbrellas from Shore Beach Service (they will be set up at the Sea Pines Beach Club). Plan to call ahead and rent/reserve bikes for the whole family before ariving- especially in busy summer months. Complete details will be sent in Guest Pack when reserving!
- Suitability
- Pet Friendly: We have had a few cats and dogs over the past year and not a peep out of any of them. Your well behaved pet is also welcome.
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): I'm not sure if this house truly qualifies under ADA, but it is one level and very open. There is one small step onto the front entry, otherwise just the usual thresholds at door openings.
- Kid Friendly: We love children! The neighborhood pool is right around the corner, but not in the backyard. (Parents like this- kids cannot see pool and thus do not beg to be in it every second...) The house is open and spacious and the cul de sac is perfect for bikes and big wheels!
- Smoking Not Allowed: This is a no no inside, but enjoy a smoke on the back porch if you like. I keep a couple of ashtrays in the outdoor storage closet...

- Greenwood Forest has neighborhood pool*, and playground, Walk out your door and step in the ocean in 10 minutes, or take the really easy way and drive to the Sea Pines Beach Club, where you will find a Beach Store, Beach Club Grill with lunch and snacks, and frosty drinks at the Beach Club Bar, Sea Pines Center is a very short walk (short-cut detailed in the "Inside Scoop" book at Hollyberry House!), and features great shopping and eating, Harbour Town and South Beach are both close by bike or car, and nature and boating tours are all located within the plantation gates! Bike and leisure trails wind all through Sea Pines-- start your trek at the entrance to Greenwood Forest, *Swimming at Plantation Club pool also included with all reservations!

Why the Owner Chose Greenwood Forest
In addition to vacation host, I am also a real estate broker and vacation home remodeler. I actually planned for 17 Hollyberry to be a resale project, but as the market turned- in the middle of my renovations- I decided to put the house to work. Against convention wisdom (or lack thereof) I made 17 Hollyberry into the top vacation rental home in its class by making it completely comfortable and full of fabulous finds-- finds that you will usually NOT find in most Sea Pines vacation homes-- even the "luxury" ones.

I don't want to give all away.... you WILL find a few nice surprises here..... but suffice to say that I always keep something blooming at 17 Hollyberry, in addition to all of the other super comfy things you will read about here on our vrbo page. 2 things you absolutely cannot beat in any Sea Pines vacation home at any price: I have the Island's BEST housekeepers, and your host (me) is only minutes away should you need her (me). You definitely deserve a little cush!
The Lighthouse....the Yachts... Gregg Russell at the Liberty Oak... The Quarterdeck...the Crazy Crab...Nell's Harbour Shop....the Playground....a must-go-to!
Have a drink or a burger, buy a float or a boogie board, rent chairs and umbrellas, flirt with the lifeguards, paint a t-shirt, dance in the sand, read a book, play with your kids, make a memory.
Great big horses and itty bitty horses. Twin horses and single horses. Old horses and baby horses and lots of other animals. Ride the nice horses through the Forest Preserve or just stop by to pet.
Truffles and Guiseppi's-- yummy food! Palmettoes and the Back Door- yummy clothes! Forsythe-- yummy jewels. And a post office, too!

Good grief...I was just trying to add a Google Map! I feel like this is e-har-vrbo-mony. Ok, I am a native Tennessean, now a South Carolinian and Hilton Head Islander. I first visited Sea Pines as a VERY small child in 1971, where my brother and I peddaled for hours on the same bike paths that my children now bike and rollerblade on. As a grown up, I adore living in Sea Pines. If I won the lottery, I would buy a bigger house.... HERE.
