This fabulous, newly renovated, waterfront home offers spectacular views overlooking Denman Island, Hornby Island, and the Sunshine Coast. We are close to everything yet far enough away you will feel like you’ve escaped to Paradise!
The Bowser Beach House has two fully-equipped suites decorated with warm colours with eco-chic furnishings and cozy goose down duvets. The main house has three bedrooms and sleeps up to eight comfortably. The guest house is a self-contained, one-bedroom suite and sleeps up to four comfortably.
We offer privacy and seclusion on our half-acre site on the ocean. Every effort is made to ensure that you have wonderful memories. Our home is available on a year round basis for longer term rentals. Relax by the woodburning fireplace. Sip a lemonade on the breezeway in the heat of the summer.
Hike, bike, fish, beach comb, cave spelunk, clam dig, whale watch, ocean kayaking, ski at Mount Washington, play a round of golf. Bring the kids and your rollerblades, play ball hockey on the long driveway. Every season has something to offer.
There are many scheduled ferry sailings daily for vehicles and passengers from Vancouver, British Columbia and Seattle, Washington. There are float plane and helicopter services and regular flights to Qualicum Beach Airport.
For our clientele with allergies we have a no-smoking and no pet policy.

My wife and I spent the past week (Jan.28th to Feb. 4th) at this great home in Bowser. We were introduced to the property by Liz, who takes care of the place, and who promptly disappeared after showing us how to work various things and after providing us with firewood and an axe to get the big living room fireplace stoked. The house was immaculately clean, well stocked with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, soap and towels. The beds were very comfortable with an added feature of a heated floor in the master bathroom. My daughter, her husband and their two girls came up for the first weekend and went skiing at Mt. Washington, about 45 minutes to the north, for most of Sunday. We spent a great week totally relaxing: reading books, walking around the neighbourhood, geo-caching, walking on the beach, visiting Qualicum (15 minutes to the south) and Courtney (30 minutes to the north) and enjoying some of the best seafood (mussels, oysters, scallops) purchased from a fresh seafood outlet not 5 minutes down the road. The views are outstanding, the property is very private and the sun, which comes up straight out the front windows, can be viewed from the dining room, living room (from the two large couches) or lying back in the master bedroom as you sip your first coffee of the day.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family has now spent 3 summer vacations at Bowser Beach House. Our vacation is something we all look forward to immensely (including our 4 & 6 year old girls). The house provides an amazing canvas for us to paint wonderful experiences and create lasting memories with family and friends. The owners have made every effort to think of all the little things that go into a successful stay. Looking for a stronger testimonial? How about this: If we were going to by a vacation property, Bowser Beach House would be it! If I HAD to come up with one negative thing, it would be that this part of Vancouver Island doesn't have particularly sandy beaches. Bringing along aqua socks or Tevas' pretty much solves the rocky beach issue. Frankly, we haven't let it bother us in the least. There is a great backyard between the house and the beach where adults and kids can relax and play. We look forward to coming back again next year!
