  First of all a huge thank you to Cherie for being such a fantastic comunicator and responding to our many questions before the rental agreement was signed. Last year we stayed in another place on a canal of the Crystal River, and while we would rank it as good, this place was far superior. This very private and spacious 2 bedroom home was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The concrete steps at the canal allowed for a smooth transfer into and out of the kayaks. We felt fortunate to witness manatee daily swimming by and on occasion munching on the plants directly in front of the property. There was a friendly great blue heron who peered into the sunroom and happily came approximately an arm's length away for the gefilte fish and frozen salmon hand-outs. The beds were extremely comfortable and the surrounding neighbourhood and canal traffic was tranquil which was also important to us. The convenience of a washer/dryer was a bonus and the laundry detergent provided was unexpected and another thoughtful touch. We were grateful to Cherie for providing so many other small necessities which included charcoal and Barbeque fluid This is truly a home away from home and we plan to return. Thanks so much Cherie!

  This was a fantastic home for our girls weekend. It is located close to the grocery store and we ran out several times for things that we needed to cook in the fully stocked kitchen. The kayaks and canoe were great, we went up to Three Sisters Springs daily to swim with the manatees. We saw manatees and dolphins swimming by the house. Beautiful birds and sounds all around. The owner was a delight to work with, helped us with anything that we needed. The beds were comfy, the linens were plentiful, it was clean and we all loved it. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to a friend. I would return again, and I just may. I would recommend a better corkscrew(we made it work, but it was a challenge) and snorkel gear(even just a few masks). I did discover on our way out of town that there was a dive shop right down the road that sold snorkel mask for $15, FYI. This is a wonderful place, I cannot say enough about what an amazing getaway we had. Very grateful, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with others.

  Our son and family were in from Indiana and we rented this home for the water access and pool. It was a wonderful week, and the home was perfect for our needs! The children loved the pool the most, but the canoe rides were awsome also! Our daughter and husband came up one day and we rented a pontoon and enjoyed the beautiful Kings Bay, Three Sisters Springs is breathtaking! This home was very clean and well stocked! The only real problem was the grass had not been mowed and the mosquitoes were very bad( thank goodness for the two screened porches!) (: We would stay again and might just very well do that the next time they come to Florida!! Cherie was very helpful with the renting process and answered all questions quickly and efficiently!

  My husband and I chose this house for three reasons; location, amenities & pet friendly. I was a little worried when we pulled up to the house, let's be honest, it's lacking some curb appeal. The home is a typical older Florida home that sits on a beautiful piece of property. When we entered, the worried feeling changed, everything was incredibly clean. The kitchen is older but perfectly useable and the bathroom has great water pressure (once we figured out how to use the shower) and is very clean. There is a lot of space for you to spread out. There are three inclosed seating areas along the back and side of the house, all screened in. We enjoyed the screened in area that over looks the canal the most. There are a few things that need fixing, but for the price, they are easily overlooked. The amenities that come with the house are amazing! The pool was very enjoyable, clean and had a deep end that is actually deep. The canoe and kayaks provided hours of enjoyment and allowed us access to the magical Three Sisters Springs. We saw several manatees swimming by the house in the canal, along with lots and lots of big fish. Our dogs enjoyed swimming in the canal and looking up in to the trees at all of the squirrels and birds. The house is also right down the road from a beautiful, sandy beach (Fort Island Beach) that is quiet. We watched the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen from that beach. It was so wonderful to get away from technology and get out and enjoy mother nature. The area is gorgeous & everyone we encountered on King's Bay was friendly and helpful. Many great memories were made!

  We had a fantastic week scalloping, riding horses, swimming with the manatees, fishing, canoeing and we loved the Palm Springs house. We live in Florida but this was our first visit to Crystal River and surprised how much there is to do in the area. Who needs Orlando and the crowds there! ;) The canoe and kayaks are a great plus. This is a great setup for any family that loves the water. The house has everything you need. Our expectations were exceeded and hope to visit again in the future. It's nice to dock your boat in the back yard. I don't want to over-inflate a future renter's expectations and they be disappointed so here's the other side of the coin. It's a nice, comfortable, older home with a few issues (no deal breakers) for rent at a great price. Don't expect the Ritz-Carlton and you won't be disappointed.

• AMAZING vacation!

  We have now returned from our fabulous week at this little piece of paradise. The house had more than everything we needed. It was comfortable, clean, roomy and most of all peaceful. Our kids thought it was so neat to wake up and just walk outside to fish. They enjoyed checking the crab trap each day to see if we caught anything (although we DID NOT have luck with the fish/crabs we loved every second trying!). We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe every day of our visit. The only attire we wore the whole week were bathing suits & pajamas! My brother in law brought their boat over right to the house and we spent a day scalloping in the Gulf. The pool was a nice way to wind down the day while grilling out. Bugs are always bad in FL, but all the screen porches make it possible to enjoy being outside any time, day or night, and not get bothered. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Cherie provided great suggestions of places to visit and even sent a map of the area waterways. We absolutely loved 3 Sisters Springs. We are already researching buying kayaks of our own to enjoy here on the east coast. The owners are amazingly nice & helpful; the house is relaxing and cozy; the area is so naturally beautiful; the up close encouters with the manatees are unmatched. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!!!

  Despite a tropical storm bringing rain, wind and high water, we had an excellent week! The house had plenty of room, very clean, and the pool kept us entertained, even during the rains! Cherie was very responsive to my questions about how high the water may get as t.s. Debby hovered over us! We kayaked between storm bands, fished from the backyard, and enjoyed time together during the rain. When the sun did appear, it was magic! We had gorgeous sunset paddles with the manatee, caught lots of fish, day tripped to silver springs, ate wonderful seafood at Pecks in Ozello, rented a pontoon to put around the bay, ate at Crackers, snorkeled at 3 sisters springs, and...wonder of wonders, slept late and didn't have to answer a business call all week! Just sitting on the screened in porch watching the canal was plenty entertaining enough for the grandparents, but even got the 78 year old grandad out in a kayak to fish! The grass was cut as soon as the weather cleared, and we had no issues with mosquitos other than what one would expect from this environment. We will always remember our excellent vacation here, can't recommend highly enough! We had all age ranges, from 11 to teens, young adults, middle aged, and grandparents, and we were all very happy!

  Don't rent unless you want a house with ripped up couches,windows filthy with bugs,rusty fridge(which they claimed they cleaned but when we had to remove the dead lizard we found in there the bottom of the fridge was disquisting.The canal she claimed we could swim in was a mosquito infested swamp.Everyday we had to run to the front door to make sure we weren't eaten alive by mosquitoes.Blinds were all busted up.The floors were filthy,keep your shoes on at all times.When we first got there the grass was like a jungle,they didn't come out till the next day to even bother cutting it.Nice beginning if a vacation.Pool had frogs in it.yuk,yuk,yuk...house nasty from the outside especially,wish we never rented from them!left early,it was that bad.

I would like to address is the lawn situation. One week before your arrival, I spoke to our lawn guy and asked him to come ASAP as the lawn was getting high. He assured me he would be out the following day. Unbeknownst to me, he never did show up. We had a family just check in to the home and when I arrived at the home after their checkout, I saw first hand the horrible condition of the grass and called our lawn guy right away. I unfortunately had to fire him. This happened on a Sunday. Beatrice you were scheduled to check in at 4 pm after the previous family had just checked out at 11 that am. I can not begin to tell you the anger I had seeing what horrible conditions the yard was in knowing that you all were coming in that day. I emailed you at 3:45 pm before your set check in time and apologized in advance and stated to you that we would be out ASAP to get it taken care of. After a painstaking 24 hours of trying to hire someone to come out at such short notice, I finally found someone who agreed to come on out Monday evening. What a lifesaver he was for us! The week prior to your arrival, we had heavy rains almost every day. Lucky for you for having beautiful sunny weather for your visit, but also unlucky for you and everyone else here as the rains bring with it hideous mosquitos who torture us unrelentlessly. I also emailed you at 9 am Monday morning to let you know I had contacted the county mosquito control who then came out and sprayed the very same day. I have spoken with our cleaning company and expressed our concerns with the floors and refrigerator. With this being the first ever complaint on both counts, they assured me they would take extra care and I agreed to continue using their services on the condition it wouldn't happen again. I also offered to have the have the home recleaned for you but I received no response. We pride ourselves with providing a comfortable and peaceful home here. And we will continue to make improvements to this rental. Our renters satisfaction and happiness has always and will always be our #1 goal.

  We LOVED Crystal River, and the Palm Springs home was the perfect place to stay! It really feels like home. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was in the home. The only thing we had to bring were ourselves. Palm Springs is located in a quiet, family neighborhood. It was so nice to sit in the lanai in the evenings and hear nothing but nature. We truly enjoyed having the canal right out the back door, and took full advantage of the kayaks provided. On our first night there, manatees swam right up the canal and into the boat slip! We enjoyed bird watching in the yard. The largest blue heron I've ever seen was literally taking a walk around the neighborhood one evening! It was truly wonderful having the pool to refresh us after a day of enjoying all the area has to offer. My week in Crystal River was truly one of the best vacations I think I have ever had! Thanks, Kennedy family, for allowing us to share a little piece of your paradise!

  .....3rd. time staying at THe Palm Spring....My wife and I had a wonderfull time,relaxing,it feels like our home away from home,we are always talking about our good memories we've made there, ....we brought our 20 ft. boat, went scalloping, fishing, 3 sister springs,saw few manatees, ,Cracker's Restaurant for Dinner, live music, I video everything under the water ,the springs,the manatees,scalloping,etc.,what a great time we had,the pool was great,not too chlorinny.... We will like to thank the Kennedy family for letting us use your family home............... thank you, ....ps.don't change anything...... .....Mary & Angel ....Tampa , Fl.
