Hello Chuck and Diane and very many thanks. We are still a bit jet lagged and catching up with our own businesss / inn here in Cornwall, so apologies for what's a brief message. Just wanted to join with Carole and my sister Liz to say a huge thank you for a lovely stay in Carmel. "Out of the Blue" is lovely and oozes the love and passion you must have in making it so comfortable and unique. (I did catch my breath though when I saw you had a ships bell marked "Titanic"!!) July 22, 2011 Dear Diane and Chuck, Our family had a wonderful week in Carmel and staying in your wonderful home was the best part. We loved all the attention to detail in your decorating, especially the beautiful tile work. My 3 year old daughter looked up from her fish plate at breakfast and said “I love this house”. She said it best! Thanks for all your restaurant reviews; they helped us make some great dining choices. We all enjoyed the visit to the aquarium and my 14 year old son played golf all week at the best courses. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. From the welcoming card to the chilled wine, we felt immediately at home. The location was ideal because we could walk to most of the shops and to the beach. The weather was ideal which made it particularly enjoyable. We really enjoyed using the passes for the acquarium. Out of the Blue was charming and met all our expectations. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Carmel area.

March 27, 2010 Dear Chuck and Diane, I wish we could have stayed for much longer. Our days were never dull. We hiked, kayaked, bicycled, and walked all over Carmel by the Sea. Out of the Blue is a perfect home for visitors like us. It is so beautiful and comfortable that it did feel very much like home, especially when we returned each afternoon following one of our adventures. This is such a welcoming retreat and I knew it would be perfect when we were greeted by the fragrant and beautiful fresh flowers. I look forward to returning. Many thanks from each one of us. Diane & Chuck, Our stay at Out of the Blue was great. We found great joy in the fish theme, straight down to the fish toilet seat! This was our third time in Carmel and the location of the house was perfect for us. We were able to walk to town to eat dinner or hop in the car to Monterey. We are avid beach glass hunters, so Pacific Grove’s beaches were perfect. We found ourselves at the beaches every morning for low tide. And we knew about most of the restaurants you suggested and they were all great! Point Lobos is beautiful and Mission Ranch was the BEST brunch we have ever had. The weather was even great! We spent a week in this lovely cottage near downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. Our experience was absolutely positive. Everything was clean and as neat as a pin for our arrival. The decor was delightful, the kitchen well-equipped, the bedrooms very comfortable. We has not one complaint about the cottage, and guests that we entertained during our stay were very impressed with the property. We would love to return to Carmel and spend another week in this great little hideaway!!

10/12 – 10/19/08 We truly enjoyed our week in Carmel and loved having “Out of the Blue” as our “home”. It was the perfect place for us – ideal location, just enough space, comfy beds, charming design, and wonderful amenities – and it was lovely to come home to at the end of our active days! We love this area and now our boys love it as well. We spent several hours on Carmel Beach, enjoyed strolling the streets of Carmel, visited the aquarium & Cannery Row, hiked & explored at Pt. Lobos, Andrew Molera, Julia Pfeiffer Burns, Pfeiffer Beach and Carmel River State Beach, took a very beautiful drive in Carmel Valley and watched the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca. We’ve had many great meals – our favorites are Nepenthe (Big Sur), Big Sur River Inn, Forge in the Forest, and Peppers (Pacific Grove). It’s simply been a fabulous vacation. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home – we truly appreciate how lovely & comfortable it has been for all of us.

With our growing family, it has become challenging to find a good spot. Out of the Blue is spacious, well-appointed, festive and just right for us. We made good use of the gas grill, wireless internet, videos & DVD's. Baby slept in the teeny room between the upstairs bedroom & bathroom..it was perfect! Cozy for him! We enjoyed several family gatherings here. We also really enjoyed our trip to the Aquarium (thanks!) and our daily beach trips. Carmel is such a beautiful place!
