Why the Owner Chose Calusa Island Village Condos

Just minutes to Marco Island and Naples, Florida make this a perfect destination. A great community pool and relaxing spa helps get my vitamin D. Having my own private 34' boat dock helped my decision to buy. The Calusa Island Marina is great for all my boating needs.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

It's quiet and peaceful. Sitting out on the lanai sipping a cold drink or just enjoying a good book, is what the doctor ordered.

Owner's Map of Calusa Island Village Condos

Growing up in Florida, fishing came naturally. It was important that I remain near the water, and have access to a boat and all the wonderful bodies of water from which to fish. Goodland, Florida, is the perfect magnet for relaxing and enjoying the Florida sun. Having great restaurants in walking distance is a BIG plus!

Quiet getaway.

For a relaxing, very quiet holiday, this is the place. The rooms were clean and spacious. There needs to be a radio and internet service. The screened in porch was well used, with a beautiful view. The dock for our boat was quite handy for daily excursions. The pool was nice for a dip or to lay on the lounch chairs. The walk into "town" for the restaurants and night life was a bonus. The food at the rest. were very, very good. Marcos was a quick ride into town for groceries, market, video rental, library. Overall it is a great spot.

Clean and nice but lacking amenities

Condo is one of several dozen located on a canal. Nice Caribbean-style units with garages/storage units on ground floor. Unit appears to have been recently remodeled and is in near-new condition. Nice ceramic tile throughout, granite countertops, and new appliances. However, there is no internet access whatsoever, which will prevent us from returning. This unit is out in the sticks, which is nice for peace and quiet, but cell phone/air card reception is spotty at best. There is a dock outside the back door, but there is no lift and the piers on the dock are barnacle-encrusted, so if you have a nice boat, you might consider a wet slip at the yacht club down the road ($2/ft/day min 30 ft). Good boating but lots of shallow water, so deep-draft boats have to stick to the few channels. Rental managers very accomodating and friendly - great to work with. Town of Goodland is a double-wide town transitioning to expensive waterfront homes. Biker bars and scruffy restaurants Overall very pleasant experience but lack of internet very limiting to laptop-toting professionals who need to stay in touch and others who use the internet for pleasure and entertainment.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the light & bright surroundings of the area and condo. Fishing was great!! Having the marina within walking distance was a big plus!! We bought fabulous "Stone Crabs" from the local fish market in Goodland. We ate at the three local restaurants...and walked to all..the car stayed in the garage! Calusa Island Village is wonderful!!
