I am a Colorado girl who moved from Vail to Fort Myers in 2001 with my husband. We miss the Rocky Mountains, but we enjoy all that Florida has to offer. The weather is beautiful and we love exploring the waters of the Gulf of Mexico in our kayaks.
Why the Owner Chose Whiskey Creek
Whiskey Creek is the heart of Fort Myers! The location is central to everything... 10 miles to the beach, 5 miles to downtown, shopping and restaurants everywhere. When we moved here we spent six months househunting and kept coming back to Whiskey Creek. We live just down the road from this rental property. Whiskey Creek is an established, beautifully-maintained community with great biking and walking paths.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This home is so much FUN... you don't have to go further than the back deck for happy hour! In the evenings the fish jump like crazy- it's great to just sit in the pool, sip a margarita and watch the show. When the mantee get involved it is very cool. The lanai is a perfect spot for coffee and the newspaper... the sunrise is amazing!

What a wonderful home, located on a canal, close to all the fun and beauty Ft. Myers has to offer. If you want privacy, in a beautifully furnished home, close to shopping, the beaches, and everything you need, this is the perfect place. The huge lanai overlooks the pool, which overlooks the canal. A slice of paradise, as you can see from the picture (I took that at sunrise from the bedroom). Everything you need to have a perfect getaway. We enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful home and highly recommend it to others. Another added plus, manatee came to frolic in the canal each day, right behind the house. That was just spectacular!

This was our first lengthy stay in the Fort Myers area and it exceeded our expectations. The house on Fairfield was perfect. It is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood called “Whiskey Creek” which was great for walking and bicycling. Located just off McGregor Boulevard, it has easy access to all of the stores, restaurants, golf courses, and Sanibel Island. We enjoyed sitting in the lanai overlooking the canal and pool in the morning and evening. One day we even saw a manatee and its baby swimming very slowly in the canal. It was pleasant to be able to go out for the day and then return home to a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. There was everything we needed including a barbecue grill so we cooked out quite often. Amy, who owns the home, was the perfect hostess. She met us there on the first day and offered many suggestions on things to do and places to see during our six week stay. She even had the cable company install Wi-Fi for our use. We are certainly looking forward to returning to Fort Myers next year.

Hi Amy We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fort Myers. The home is lovely and obviously well cared for. The quiet neighborhood was a real plus and we enjoyed long walks. Most pleasurable was the view overlooking the canal. In summation, we will certainly consider renting your home again in the future and would highly recommend it for any potential future renters. Amy, We really liked your house, so I'm glad to send you a few sentences to that effect. We stayed the month of March in the Fairfield Way house in Fort Myers and loved everything about it. The neighborhood is great, the houses are all well kept up and the neighbors are very friendly. The house itself is well-maintained, has a nice kitchen with all you would need to fix meals, and has a comfortable floor plan. We really enjoyed the lanai and its view of the canal - it's a great place to eat and we even got to see a manatee a couple of times! The location is convenient to town, shopping, and not far from the beaches. Amy is great to deal with and very helpful. Enjoy!

The best thing I can say is that the house is spacious, relaxing, convenient, and has all of the amenities to make it "a home away from home". The view is fantastic! We have such wonderful pictures, especially at dusk. We also enjoyed the short trip across McGregor Bld. to the waterfront to watch the sunsets. It is the reason we like the West coast of Fl. so much.
