During the Spring of 2012, Chalet cottage will be undergoing some improvements to the bathroom and foundation. It will not be available until Memorial Day.
Kangaroo Lake is a beautiful 1100 acre glacier formed, spring fed lake located in the heart of the Door Peninsula. This clean, shallow lake provides excellent swimming, canoeing and water skiing. Guests may also enjoy fishing for bass, perch and walleye.
Whatever season you chose, this is clearly the best of both worlds in Door County. Nearby parks, villages, beaches, and golf courses round off a perfect balance for visitors who enjoy lots of activities and then return to a cozy spot for those quiet relaxing times that provide all the memories of a wonderful vacation.
Chalet is one of six cottages that make up Sunset Shores Resort Condominiums. This year around cottage has a vaulted ceiling that opens to a sleeping loft with two twin beds for extra guests or children. The comfortable living room with queen size sofa, TV and VCR, opens to a brand new well equipped kitchen with electric stove, microwave, and dining area. Electric heat provides clean heat for cool mornings and evenings. The master bedroom is very large and has a queen size bed and plenty of closet space. A new French door opens to a wood deck with picnic table and charcoal grill.
A few steps away, guests will find a swing set, play area, bonfire pit equipped with wood, lawn furniture and 217 feet of beautiful shoreline on the "sunset" side of Kangaroo Lake with two piers, a floating raft, canoe, paddle boat, and four aluminum Lund boats. All guests need to bring is towels, swim shoes and a desire to have a great time!

Year Purchased: 1999
Debbie and Louie Riederer and their daughter, Lilyanna, live in the Kansas City Area. Louie is an owner of a Sports Bar & Grill in the Kansas City area and Debbie works part-time in Real Estate. They love spending their summer vacations at Sunset Shores. Louie loves to golf, and Debbie enjoys the lazy days around the resort. Our family reunion with all the cousin's each summer is Lily's favorite vacation ever. Their summer list always includes trips to Hands-on Art, Fred and Fuzzy's and a bike ride through Peninsula Park.
