This is a five-year-old home built way off the road in the middle of a field filled with blueberries, wild sea roses and old crabapple trees. The setting is the center of Crabtree Neck, a Peninsula graced by a quaint and distinctive summer community. It is private, and peaceful. The most noise you will hear is the sound of the bell buoy--a melodic exclamation of the most welcome summer breezes!
This is a great house. We lived there and started a family there, so sure, I am biased, but it really is going to be a great place for a family to spend some quality time. I miss getting up in the morning and just letting the kids wander around the yard while we sat on the porch swing. The home is filled with windows everywhere--letting all the sunlight and fresh air blow through. The floors are all wide pine.
Oh, how I miss the Viking gas range and the fieldstone fireplace. The cathedral ceilings in the great room with the Bose speakers that we left up there because all the music just sounded so perfect there. And of course I miss the hot tub...especially since I barely got to use it since I was pregnant half the time we lived there! I still enjoyed being outside with those who were in the hot tub. We built a big fire pit and spent many nights out there staring at the sky...the stars from our yard are just so bright; breathtaking, actually!
As for bedrooms, there is a large one on the first floor with a queen bed, another large one upstairs with a queen bed and a full size futon on the tv end of the room, and then a smaller room with a queen bed, and across the hall a medium sized room with two twin beds. I have also purchased two aero beds for the larger groups as well.
