  Nancy and David, Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to San Clemente and our stay at your house. You have a very nice place and we had a great time there. We especially liked the proximity to the beach and Ave Del Mar. Everything at your house was just fine, and we did not have difficulties with anything. We left your place at 11:00 am on Friday morning, and the housecleaner was there waiting outside to get started on her work!

  This is a very well kept older home in a great location. The house was accurately described in the listing and photos. Owners were easy to work with. The house is easy walking distance to the beach and to Ave Del Mar. Quiet neighborhood and private backyard. Our family (two adults, two young daughters) would definitely stay here again.

  We spent our second holiday season in this home last year and plan to return again this year. I can only reiterate all of the positive reviews below and add that our dog now feels that this is his home. The house is just as comfortable in the winter and is a wonderful place for us to stay when spending time with our family during Christmas.

• Perfect Beach House!

  I have been visiting San Clemente over the last year and have stayed in various VRBO properties. This one was my favorite! Updated home that retains all its charm and warmth with gorgeous hardwood floors. Best of all is the ideal location very close to prime beach and pier area as well as Del Mar which is the main street filled with great shops and restaurants. It is only a couple blocks to the beach with a bit of a hill and a couple more blocks to Del Mar. I couldn't have asked for a better location- it is a nice and quiet neighborhood, yet it is still close to all the happenings at the pier (chowder festival was happening the weekend I was there). I really enjoyed walking everywhere and I felt more like a local than a tourist this time since I was in a single family home instead of a condo. The backyard is very private and peaceful and we enjoyed barbecuing and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. The kids enjoyed playing ball on the lawn and the yard would be perfect for a dog too. The home is well-appointed through-out with comfortable beds, lots of closet space, a large TV/DVD in the living room and comfortable seating, and the wifi worked perfectly. The kitchen had everything one could want including a large stainless steel refrigerator and high-end gas range/oven and both bathrooms were updated and lovely. A perfect beach house in the ideal location, and the owners were very responsive the couple of times I had questions. I hope to return soon and will recommend this property to my friends and family.

• Great family vacation

  Our family of 5, which includes 3-teenagers, had a wonderful stay at this property. We walked to the pier daily and spent hours at the beach and drove to several other beaches within 10-minutes. The downtown area is an easy walk where you will find excellent restaurants and quaint shops. The beach home is clean and well appointed with comfortable bedding, which made us feel right at home. The backyard is a big plus with plenty of room for our dog. There is driveway parking which helped accomodate our 2-cars. The owners of this property are very friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything needed to make our vacation enjoyable. Thank you for making our vacation a great experience and we hope to be back soon.

  A great place for a relaxing beach town vacation. Nicely appointed and very cozy with all the amenities. The back yard was a great place for a family barbecue. Better than advertised. Owners were great to work with.

  The location and home were described accurately in the property listing. There is no way to adequately describe the wonderful experience of this area in San Clemente. The weather was refreshing and the air clean and fresh, the home is open so you can enjoy the awesome sunrise and sunsets as well as watch the hummingbirds enjoying the morning glories and other beautiful flowers in the yard. Everything that you need for your stay is readily available - full kitchen, backyard grill and dining area, washer, dryer.......And if there is anything that you have questions about, the owners are available for assistance - just a call away. You can relax on the property or on the beach which is just a short walk away. Also, if you want to see more of CA you are within an hour or so from San Diego or Newport Beach. Golf is available and other activities and sight seeing as well. If you want a breath of fresh air in the most beautiful area of Southern CA, come relax and feel at home on this property. There were 4 adults and we were very comfortable here. We hope to enjoy this new found treasure again!

  We loved the beach house. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Clean and well-mantained, it's evident that the owners take a good care of it and are always improving. Our little boy particularly enjoyed the backyard, which was bigger than expected. We can't wait to go back next year! Thanks Nancy and David.

• San Clemente Beach House

  This property was ideal for our family vacation. The house is very clean and the property was well maintained with a yard for the kids as well as a great patio with even a fire pit which we used almost every night. Great for s'mores! I would highly recommend this property for your next vacation. The beach is just down the street with a good choice of restaurants also. We barbecued almost every night too. The owners were great to deal with. One activity we did was drive to San Juan Capistrano for an afternoon at Zoo Mar. Lots of pets to pick up and hold as well as feeding them. The kids really enjoyed it. The beach is incredible. Went every day as the weather was perfect. This was our first experience in renting a summer beach house and we couldn't have been more pleased. You will definitely enjoy staying there! Enjoy!

• San Clement Beach House was perfect!

  My husband, college age daughter and 11 year old niece and I rented this beach house for a week. It was perfect! We loved the location and enjoyed the easy walk down the couple of blocks to the ocean. Walking back up was what we called healthy exercise as the house is at the top of the hill. The house was well stocked with linens, kitchen ware and paper necessities. Everything was sparkling clean and the neighborhood was friendly. Beds were harder than we liked, but it would never prevent us from coming back again. We loved the town of San Clemente and found some great restaurants to eat at (Nick's on Del Mar and Sonny's on El Camino). The back yard barbecue and fire pit were great to use, although I had to call the owner to figure out how to use the fire pit and barbecue. We also enjoyed the DVD library for late evenings. It was a very relaxing beach vacation (we did travel to San Diego…easy one hour drive…to visit the San Diego Zoo for the day. We hope to come back another time.
