Beachfront Home North of San Pedro

After many years of adventures in Belize, we realized our dream of building a home there. When we are not enjoying it, we choose to rent it to others interested in discovering the wonders of Belize.
SEAcluded Sands is a new home located one and a third miles north of "downtown" San Pedro, in the quiet residential neighborhood of Tres Cocos. There is a new bridge but still are no cars on this part of the island. You can walk, rent a golfcart, ride bicycles, use the Island Ferry or water taxi services to get to town. For your adventures, you will be picked up and returned to the end of the dock in your front yard.
This house features two verandas and has the living space on the second floor. This arrangement provides superior views, as well as takes advantage of the breeze. The generous veranda off the living room opens to a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea. It is the perfect place to start your day with a cup of coffee, watching the sunrise. After your day of adventures, you can watch the moon through the palm trees as you relax in the solitude.
Each bedroom has a queen bed with drawers beneath it and a large closet. Both bedrooms open onto another veranda with a view of the lagoon, it's wildlife, birds and spectacular sunsets. The futon couch in the living room opens into a double bed with it's own closet space in the hall. A single Aerobed is also available. This configuration can accommodate three couples, a family with children or be a spacious romantic getaway for a couple.
The kitchen is well equipped and the decor of the house is simple, elegant and features local crafts and woods. Recent renters have said the photos do no justice to the house and it exceeded their expectations!
Our home is managed by my niece and nephew who own the SEAduced By Belize tour company. When you arrive in San Pedro, simply take a taxi the three blocks to their office and they will check you in and take you to the house. You might check their web site for an idea of the trips available and start planning your adventure in Belize.

We stayed here for the week during the "rainy season". It could not have been more perfect. The location is amazing and we loved being here. Everything we did was easily accessible from here and Seaduced was great when it came to our adventures! We did get very lucky as it only rained for a couple hours in the middle of the night our first night here and that was it. Thank you again for a great vacation! Could not have asked for a better vacation! Just over the bridge the house was close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away to feel secluded. It is clean and well cared for making it feel like home. This home was ideal for our family with three teenagers. Caroline is awesome to work with and had plenty of ideas on activities. Rebecca with Seaduced helped as well. My kids were overwhelmed at how great an experience this was. We left feeling like we had visited family! Can't wait to return again some day.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We had an absolute wonderful time on our trip to Belize. This is our second time to the island but our first renting a vacation home. I would highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone looking for a beautiful, clean home that is quiet and somewhat secluded. And with an outstanding price! You are still a reasonable distance from town but far enough away from the bustle of town. The owner and her family on the island were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We travelled with Continental through Houston to Belize City. We stayed over in Belize City, but it wasn't worth the effort. Try to get here in one day. The folks at Seaduced seem pretty accommodating so catching the last Tropic Air flight for the day should work. Just let them know what you are doing. Shopping for food was "different" than running over to the Safeway here in the states. We did start to figure shopping out after a while. I think you really should use a provisioning service to get your basic starter food supplies. We used Mata Grande which delivered on time and we didn't have to worry about where to get our first couple of meals. Check out their website. Seacluded Sands is a very simple house consisting of good sized living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and one bath. Its a good design that works well with the prevailing breezes. We never needed the air-conditioning. Its a quiet location with the occasional midnight partier racing back from the Palapa Bar (of which we were one). Worked great for us as a couple, could work well for two couples that got along well. Certainly works for a small family. Nicely decorated with tasteful local artwork. Fabulous view of the Caribbean and the barrier reef. We really liked the privacy over staying in one of the condos or resorts. The house is well provisioned with towels, pots, pans, plates etc. Everything we needed was there even some "starter coffee". Good thing because I forgot the Via at home. There is a nice beach like yard area that the owners worked hard to keep private with a well placed hedge and some assorted rocks to make sure traffic stays on the ocean side. We started calling the path deadman's curve after watching several gringos launch themselves into the sea on failing to negotiate the turn. Locals never skipped a beat going through however. You do have to put up with the occasional vendor that will slow down to see if you might be interested. The house is close enough to town to easily walk in to have lunch or sight see. We rented a golf cart that in the end was nearly as expensive as a car in Hawaii and probably not necessary. San Pedro is clearly a boat friendly place and I think next time a boat instead of a golf cart might be the right model. You could go budget and use a bicycle to work off those lobster tacos. Don't forget your exit tax, in cash, in US dollars.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We arrived some 3 hours after our schedule time which proved to be no problem as the owner's family took care of meeting us at the dock and shuttling us to the house. The location is absolutely perfect. While you have plenty of privacy, you are also extremely close to town without all of the noise and traffic. The house is clean and very comfortable with a well appointed kitchen. Although cable TV was provided, we didn't have it on for more than an hour in the entire 5 night stay. We stayed in contact with our kids who we left behind in the states via Facebook and the internet which was great. Carolyn was great to work with, the pictures of course don't do the Caribbean justice. The Palapa Bar & Grill is a quick walk along the sea front and served great food. The Belikin and drinks were bad either!! We ate there several times and got to know some of the "locals". SEAduced was great about picking us up on the dock and delivering us back at our doorstep after our sunset cruise which I would highly recommend for a relaxing evening out. It's a great getaway and I certainly would stay here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

A few of my friends and I had been looking for a home to rent in Central America for a week. We had to get away during the horrible winter month of January. We picked Belize for it's variety of "adventure trips" as well as ability to do nothing on the beach... We heard that mainland Belize isnt much to write home about, but we found ourselves very interested in this island. San Pedro has everything you'd need- food, shopping, relaxing, beaches, warm ocean water... The house itself, Secluded Sands, is RIGHT on the beach, with a boat dock right off the back. It is comfortable, has A/C, has all the fine amenities to make your stay pleasant, but trust me, you wont be spending much time indoors. The house even has a safe to lock your valuables in. The house is very nice, well maintained, and slept my group comfortably. We also recommend doing some trips with Seaduced by Belize, an adventure tour company on the island. They will pick you up in a speedboat right at your dock for whatever excursion you're heading out on. We did snorkeling, ziplining, Mayan Ruins, and cave tubing. We had so much fun! When we werent doing trips, we were hanging out on the beach outside watching the lizards run by! Very quiet at night, very relaxing, easy trip overall. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My best friend and I decided to visit Belize; we had heard so much about Mayan and Garifuna Culture as well as the Great Barriet Reef. We also thought Ambergris Caye looked like a fun place to spend time. We decided to stay in a vacation rental by owner, which was a great decision; we had our own house on the beach. Seacluded Sands is a charming home which sits high with views of both the sea to the east and the lagoon to the west. Imagine waking up and going to sleep with an infinity of sea in front of you. The house was comfortable with everything we needed and even interesting local art. Several times we shopped and cooked at home, but restaurants and bars were also within walking distance. The property was well maintained just as the photographs show. We did adventure excursions, snorkeling the reef and visiting Mayan ruins. We'd recommend Seaduced catamaran trip with snorkeling and lunch in Caye Caulker; a whole day on that beautiful blue sea. For us, quiet hours on the veranda were a much needed break from our professional lives. The owners' family lives on the island and were so helpful, answering all our questions about what to do, where to shop, and what restaurants were good. We are planning another trip next spring, and we both would highly recommend Seacluded Sands for a tropical vacation in Belize.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
