This charming spacious cottage is located on Lake Street Extension which dead ends to the Fair Haven Beach State Park. Although the cottage is not directly located on the water, it has great views of Lake Ontario and Little Sodus Bay. The cottage is a short five minute walk to one of New York States most prestigious sandy beaches.
If boating is your desire, it is just a short two minute walk to the state park boat launch. Shops, restaurants, and churches are located in the Village of Fair Haven; a five minute drive from the cottage. Kitchen: The cupboards and drawers are fully stocked with all the amenities of home.
The first floor bedroom offers a daybed. A small powder room is just off the bedroom. The dining room has a very large oak antique table with plenty of cane antique chairs seating up to 12 guests comfortably. The cozy livingroom offers a woodburning fireplace and plenty of wood to burn. There is also a firepit located near the cottage to roast the marshmallows or to enjoy the evening stars!
Second Floor: The 4 inside bedrooms are tastefully decorated with antiques and finely crafted furniture. 2 inside bedrooms = 1 has twin bunks and 1 has a single twin bed, the other 2 have full-size beds. In addition to the inside bedrooms, the second floor offers two screened sleeping porches. Enjoy the sunrise on the east porch that sleeps five, a bunk-bed with a full-size on the bottom, and single on the top, and one full-size bed, while the north porch offers two single twin beds. The second floor full bath consists of a shower, vanity and toilet. All linens and towels are included.
Relax on those hot summer evenings on the cool first floor wrap around screened porch. The porch offers additional dining space with an oak pedestal table and chairs and additional seating for plenty of opportunity to relax during those hot evenings.

A summer week at Fair Haven

Friends and I were looking for a relaxing place to spend a summer week that would include both good weather and a variety of activities. We picked the Finger Lakes and were lucky to find this cottage. Located with water views on three sides with access to Lake Ontario, a bay and a large pond, we swam, took advantage of nearby kayak and paddle boat rentals, and biked and hiked around the 900 acres of state park. We were able to walk to a small town that offered great little restaurants and shops, as well as drive to explore the wineries along Seneca and Cayuga Lakes and the beautiful gardens in the city of Rochester. While all of these activities were great fun, the best part was the cottage itself. As you can see from the picture, it is beautiful, as well as extremely clean and well-kept. The owners provide everything, from linens and towels to charcoal and lighter fluid. The only thing we needed to bring was food and clothing; everything else was there, making it all the more relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend this property.

I have spent several summers in this cottage with my family and look forward to returning each summer. The cottage is extremely charming and tastefully decorated. It emits a feeling of going back in time when life was simple. I especially like waking from the sleeping porch with a deer grazing in the yard.
