This is a beautiful home located in a gated community on Dauphin Island, Alabama. The house has four bedrooms and three baths. The lower level bedroom suite includes a queen sized bed with a private shower bath. French doors lead to a spacious screened porch with amazing views of the beach, gulf and golf course. The second bedroom has a set of child sized bunk beds and a twin bed with access to a full bath. On the top floor, there is a huge master suite with a king sized bed, sitting area and table and chairs for playing games and cards. The master bath has a large whirlpool tub and separate shower and water closet. French doors lead to a porch and balcony with amazing views of the gulf. The 4th bedroom upstairs has a queen bed and is decorated in a sailboat theme. There is a "toy" closet located in this room for your little ones. There is a loft area at the top of the stairs that has a twin bed.
Downstairs, the family room has soaring ceilings and access to the wonderful screened porch perfect for coffee and conversation.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the breakfast area has a large table for family meals and games.
All linens including sheets, towels and beach towels are furnished for your convenience.
This is definitely a house that will force you to relax and take in the wonderful views! The house is located directly across from the beach. The pool, tennis court and boardwalk to the beach are just steps away.
There is also a sand area for your little ones under the house equipped with sand toys for hours of fun at your fingertips!

Our vacation was just what we wanted from a rental experience. No surprises, it was just as described or better. Porches was perfect for our needs. We had 3 couples (3 bedrooms with K or Q beds), one single guy (loft bed with box fan brought by us for noise machine) and then two-year-old grandtwins (bunk bed room). House was clean, and very well stocked. Porches were awesome. Deck outside kitchen was great for brkfast and pre-dinner snacks. We played games at night at the large kitchen table, then sat out on the front porch and enjoyed the breeze. Don't get me wrong it was hot. We had brought a big fan and used it some, but some nights didn't need it. We also brought fans for each bedroom for noise reduction in the mornings when some slept later than others. But we were surprised to note that the house had several fans already there. There were lots of toys and books for little ones. Sand area under the house was a good spot for kids to play while adults got beach junk ready. The walk to the beach was not as long as I was afraid it would be. The house has two wagons- perfect for transporting ice chests and junk. The area is very safe and we were totally at ease leaving our chairs/tent/toys down at the beach at night and they were there ready for us the next day. The water in this area is not "see-your-toes aqua clear" like it is in some areas on the gulf, there is the fine silt stirred up in it, making it cloudy. However, the location is protected by an outcropping of land making the surf much calmer. It was perfect for adults sitting on a float out in the water with a cold drink and for little ones that cannot stand up to the crashing waves. Part of our group went straight from Dauphin Island to an event in San Destin and I spent much more time in the water at DI than I did in SD. And we didn't have to contend with the seaweed and jellyfish that we experienced at SD. Another plus is the fact that this is a gated community so the beach is not crowded AT ALL. At some times we had the pool to ourselves. We had excellent cooks on-board so only went out to eat one night at Oar House. Nice place. It is not four-star white tablecloth, but for families it was a very nice outing. Also went on deep sea charter. Great time, great fish. YUM! DI is not the place if you want lots of shopping,eating out or nightlife. but for a family trip where the focus is beach and being together...YOU CANNOT BEAT IT! Owners are very nice and efficient!

I have never written a review before, but this place was so wonderful I thought it deserved one...We could not have been happier. The photos do not do this house justice! It is VERY spacious. Plenty of room for 2 families (10 people total) with a huge kitchen (well stocked) and a lot of room for children to play. Our 5 year old especially loved the huge sand box on the ground level. Wonderful toys and books for your little ones. Love the porches with lots of seating and swing. Community pool, tennis, and swing set just a few steps from the property. The Master suite is huge and can fit a family, keeping your little ones in the same room with you if needed. Everything was very clean and well kept. The owners could not have been nicer. They were a huge help and gave us great information on the area. A lot to do, but not over commercialized. A GREAT FAMILY VACATION!!!! We will be back.
