My girlfriends and I had a wonderful getaway at Victoria Garden Estate. We are from Edmonton and needed a week away from the city. This place was just what we needed. It's very secluded and private but only a short drive from all the amenities. Five min from the airport was a very nice surprise. The house itself is outstanding...nicest house I have ever been in. We felt like movie stars! The property is very large with lots of gardens and the pool was fun. The owners are very nice and helpful. They told us about the many wineries in the area and we had a blast visiting all of them! We will definitly return next summer, thanks again Louise

Owner response: Thank you Jessica, Chelsea and Keely for sharing your comments with our other guests and I am very pleased you enjoyed yourselves at Victoria Garden Estate. Our large home was perfect for your Women's Getaway with the private pool, hot tub and extensive gardens where you can sit back and relax with your good friends. This home has spacious kitchen, dining and family rooms that make it ideal for large gatherings. With 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms we can accommodate 15-18 guests. We are close to the beach, hiking trails and shopping is just 5 minutes away. If you are planning on returning I can provide a private wreath making class for your group. It is easy and alot of fun! With thanks, Louise
Great Get Away From The City
Great Get Away From The City
We stayed here as a large family and this was a really great place for all of us to get away from the busy city. The beautiful natural surroundings really make this an amazing location to be at. There was lots of open space and our family had a wonderful time observing all the great wild life. Our kids saw plenty of deer, rabbits and horses. We also had many great trips to the beach, which was only a short walk away. Inside, we a great time playing the piano together. The care-takers are very attentive and really ensure all your needs are being taken care of. We will be sure to return.

Owner response: Thank you for choosing our vacation house for your family holiday it was really nice meeting all of you. When you return the wildlife will still be here including our pet pond turtles Tilly and Thomas that your children enjoyed visiting. We hope that you will visit us again sometime. Louise
A lovely big house with pool and hot tub. We were a group of 10 ,ages 18 months to 70+. Everyone found a room to themselves which works very well with a wide range of ages. We found the grocery shopping easily accessible and liked the town of Sidney very much. The owners were very helpful with suggestions and directions and the young people enjoyed visiting the turtles in the pond on their property. The ferry terminal is nearby and one can visit the islands easily.Victoria is also close by and our families each spent a day there as well. We all think it is a great place for a family .

The Saanich Peninsula has a lot of great sites to explore for all ages and I am happy you were able to see some of them. Looking forward to a return visit as we would love to have your family back again. Louise

We rented this property for a family get together with our 2 daughters, son in law and 6 grandchildren. Close (5 minute) drive from airport and to Sidney where they had an open air street market on Thursday evening that was definitely worth going to. The weather was as fantastic and matched this great property. common rooms like kitchen and living rooms accommodated the 11 of us, while offering the privacy needed (especially important for teens) when required. the pool was definitely the favorite hang out for all, while I enjoyed the morning coffee on the deck just looking over the grounds. Local corner store is a short 10 minute walk and offers the most superb sandwiches and salads. I would also highly recommend the Deep Cove Chalet that is a short 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) for that special dinner for either a couples romantic get away or as a group. Service and food matched the view. Louise and Bob made the experience especially enjoyable as they kept the pool and gardens pristine without ever seeming to be there and while never intrusive they were also readily available with recommendations and tips for things to try in the area. Thanks guys as you made this a great week. Highly recommended for large families or gatherings. We be back unless I decide to actually move to area as I enjoyed it that much

I am happy you explored greater Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula. The Thursday Night market in Sidney is always a lot of fun. I had a family reunion at the place for my Dad's 80th and Father's Day. Great place, easy to lose people (in a good way). The hosts were nice and the place was gorgeous. I'd rent this again.

Fantastic Home and Great Stay
Fantastic Home and Great Stay
"5 Star Country Garden Estate" is no joke! We showed up with 13 people, all early 30's, for a New Year's trip with life long friends. The house is beautiful and huge. There are 6 bedrooms with at least queen bed's in them, and a few of those had extra twins. There is also a room with a fold out futon, and another with a single twin. The kitchen is huge and the living room provided us with a great place to watch football. We were a little worried that our general "New Year's Eve" demeanor would upset Bob & Louise with our noise, as they also live on the property. But we were given the privacy that we hoped for, and after showing us the house, Bob and Louise were no where to be seen except to check the PH in the hot tub. Sydney is 3 minutes away with cool bars and restaurants. And we took the 25 min drive into Victoria several days. Super close to the airport and Schwartz Bay ferry. If I had one minor complaint it would be that the Wi-Fi was very spotty and weak. So don't come expecting to be "plugged in" full time. Can't wait to come back during the summer and enjoy the pool.

Home away from home.
Home away from home.
My fiance and I recently flew out to BC from Ontario to be married and bring some immediate family together under one roof. The house and surrounding area could not have been more perfect. In total there were 10 adults and one child staying in the house but nobody felt crowded. The house is laid out well enough that there was always somewhere to be separated in pairs or gathered together as a group. Also, the house is so beautifully put together and comfortably furnished that in the range of demographics (and degree of luxury accustomed to by some in our group) everyone felt at home. Everyone from our group wants to go back, and the whole weekend was spent marveling at the place.

Owner response: Thank you Juliet for your comments on our vacation house. We strive to keep our guests comfortable and I am so happy your family enjoyed themselves especially on such a wonderful occassion as your wedding. It was a pleasure to get to know you and I look forward to your return visit.
Our family (12 to 14 members) has spent one week in the summer for the last three years at Victoria Garden Estate. We are looking forward to our fourth visit and have been eagerly making plans for the last couple of months. On arrival, we are instantly engulfed in the warmth and hospitality of Louise and the Estate. It feels like returning to a well-loved luxurious refuge where there is space for everyone to interact or find quiet time. The property is immaculate and welcoming for children and adults alike, including toys, books, puzzles and games.

Owner response: Hi Sherrill, Thank you for sending in a property review your comments are important to us. As always it is nice to have your family return to Victoria Garden Estate and I am surprised how fast the year goes by. I hope you like the changes we have made with the addition of a new bedroom and the new interior paint throughout the house. We look forward to your stay this July and I am sure the children will all be at least 6 inches taller than last summer. See you soon! Louise
Great Family Reunion Location
Great Family Reunion Location
We have stayed at Louise's house a few times now and have always had a great stay. The house is big and roomy but still manages to be cosy as well. The kitchen is well equipped for making big meals. Trees and gardens surround the house which gives plenty of privacy. The pool is really nice to have and the hot tub can be used year round. Sidney is a short drive away and there is lots to do any time of year in the Saanich area. Louise is an awesome host and really cares about her guests.

This is an ideal venue for a wedding! We attended one here a few years back and it was really beautiful. The gardens around the estate are impeccable. Great space for an outdoor ceremony and ample room for an indoor reception. Everything was really clean and cozy. I'd definitely recommend this venue to friends.
