Built for quiet retreat, they are near spiritual centers. The sauna is a traditional Finnish sauna building, with wood heat, and outdoor shower. The atmosphere is conducive to rest and contemplation.

My sister and I spent the weekend at this gem of a cabin and found it thoroughly enjoyable. It was peaceful, in a good location and I was impressed by the "eco-friendly" approach to the property. While it wasn't spacious, we did have enough room for our needs. I would recommendf that you bring your own coffee maker but otherwise we were quite comfortable and left feeling renewed and rejuvenated.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway.

The owner was quite friendly and very laid back - the space was clean and well maintained; however, we were disappointed with the quality of the accommodations. The cabin was very small and not quite conducive to do much else than sleep in. There was no comfortable space to sit and relax inside the cabin. We also didn't know that "environmentally friendly toilet" basically meant indoor port o' potty. The bed was a disaster - squeaky and with zero support and very uncomfortable. I think a sleeping bag on the wood floor would have been better. It was also a bit of a drive from Woodstock, which was a surprise. Basically, if you go in expecting a bare bones space to sleep and you don't mind a toilet that doesn't flush - the space is fine, but it's not something we'll be headed back to anytime soon.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers.
