  The renal owner was very easy to work with, polite and VERY informative. She gave great directions to the cabin and to the closest towns. We arrived on a Friday evening after dak and had no problem locating the cabin. This place is secluded enough that you can have a private weekend getaway but close enough to town to enjoy the amenities. The property was very clean, exterior well maintained, we even saw hummingbirds as we relaxed on the front porch. It rained the entire weekend we were there but the back coverd porch allowed us to enjoy the scenery without getting wet. I would recommend and have already recommended this place to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

  I loved the cabin; I love that it is small and homey without hot tubs or flashy, over the top amenities. i love that it is far enough away from Boone or Jefferson but close enough to the Blue Ridge Parkway for exploring and engaging with nature -- the birds, wildflowers and views. I loved the sheer darkness and quiet of the place at night - no ambient night light or noice but only the calls of the whipperwill, the barred and screech owls. Kathe has done a wonderful job with landscaping and i love that her garden is filled with native plants indigenous to the area, ie.native honeysuckle, bee balm, cone flowers, and that feeders are filled for the always present hummingbirds and finches. And a big fat YES to review tips and guidelines 1-5. Photos reflect, property clean, Kathe is great, and would highly recommend to others. I would be fine if it didn't have tv or cable but am grateful that it has wifi and I could bring my dog. it is a place to rest, enjoy nature, read and reflect.

  This was our second stay in the past two years and we love the cabin. Cozy and relaxing hideaway in the woods. Only one negative comment: the refrigerator appears to be laboring and getting very noisy - it might be time to replace it. A couple of suggestions: First, don't know if a king size bed will fit in the bedroom but you should consider it if possible. Second, we know its not a hotel and in a very secure neighborhood, but a small safe (like the kind that can be attached to the wall or fall in the closet) would be very useful just for peace of mind.

  Owner response: Thank you Little Creek Cabin guest for your previous stays and recommendations. We may consider a king size bed in the future. We visit and inspect the cabins at least biweekly to ensure everything inside and out is in good working order and grounds are nicely maintained for our guests. The refrigerator is only 2 years old, and although I have noticed a little noise when water is feeding into system or ice-making, I have not noticed any continual or labored noise beyond that. The ice maker on this model can be turned off by raising the bar above the ice cube catch tray, and that should eliminate the water feeding or occasional noise caused by dropping ice cubes. Thanks again for your visits, and I hope you will consider another visit in the future.

  This cabin was everything we were looking for, quiet, quaint, romantic yet close to all our favorite things in West Jefferson and Blowing Rock. Can't think of a thing I would change. The owner was very easy to work with. A lot of love went into the house and garden, and it shows.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  We found this gem several years ago, and now we stay here whenever we visit the mountains. We have stayed every season and found each season beautifu. Easy access to everything. It is so peaceful and serene, though, you may find yourself not wanting to do anything but put your feet up and relax. Every amenity has been taken care of in this wonderful cabin. All you have to do is show up!

  Loved the Christmas cabin, walking up the ridge to the sunset point that overlooked a Christmas tree farm. Watched a star filled sky until I had wished on a shooting star for each of my family members on a New Years Eve. Only regret is having to delay departure 2 hours extra to do laundry and dishes then drive 30 minutes to dump trash. Could have been home 2.5 hours earlier. Would prefer to include with cleaning services only as practicality for long distance guests:)

  My husband and I recently stayed in Little Creek cabin while in town for a wedding. The cabin was conventiently close to downtown Boone, and was truly beautifully done. We enjoyed being inside the cabin as well as exploring the surrounding grounds. We highly rercommend this cabin to anyone who will be staying in the area, and would urge to consider it over the alleged convenience of a hotel. Price wise, it can't be beat! The cabin comes with plenty of amenities, and it is clear that great pains have been taken to create a charming and cozy atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

  My husband surprised me with a weekend trip for our anniversary and booked the Little Creek Cabin. It was absolutely PERFECT in every way--straight out of a dream for me! I can't imagine that there is any way we could have spent our weekend that would have made me happier. Every detail has been thoughtfully done and we will certainly be back!

  Little Creek Cabin is an amazing place to get away from everything with all the comforts of home. Quiet, relaxing and refreshing are adjectives that easily come to mind. We enjoyed the solitude but also the easy access to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Blueridge Parkway. We loved shopping at all the art galleries especially Carlton Gallery near Foscoe/Banner Elk. And you must eat at the Daniel Boone Inn in Boone. Be sure not to miss the short hike down to see the Cascades waterfall off the Blueridge Parkway. It's amazing! We will definitely be back!
