Southern Wind is a two bedroom two bath two story home located in the Windward Park compound in the heart of Old Town and walking distance to the sites and attractions of the historic district.
Southern Wind welcomes you with a large private shady deck and outdoor dining area. Once inside, the traditional architecture gives you an open floor plan with hardwood floors and large windows to bring in the tropical sun, decorated with colors and styles of old Florida with splashes of the color that surrounds us in the tropical paradise.
On the first floor you will find a galley kitchen with marble countertops and beautiful hardwood cabinetry. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities of home. The kitchen opens onto the dining area and living room. The living room is comfortably furnished with sofa, love seat and flatscreen TV for your viewing pleasure. Also on the first floor is a full bath.
On the second floor are two spacious bedrooms with full bath in between. The bedrooms have comfy mattresses and each room has a flatscreen TV. Relax around the sun-soaked pool, stroll down the streets lined with shady banyan trees, and enjoy the vacation you deserve with a great spot to call home.
The Windward Park compound is a gated community and offers a large shared swimming pool and off-street parking. Southern Wind will make your vacation experience one you will want to repeat year after year. Occupancy limited to 4 maximum.

I would highly recommend this property to couples interested in a quiet, lovely oasis close to Key West Beaches, Old Town sites and Duvall Street fun. The house has a fully equipped kitchen to make your own meals, but also close to great Old Town restaurants. It is very clean and well stocked with everything to make your stay perfect. It's a home away from home! Looking forward to returning to Key West and renting Southern Wind again very soon!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this fabulous vacation home in March 2010. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and decor of this home not to mention how comfortable we were made to feel with all the amenities provided. The location is superb in that it isn't necessary to rent a car.There's even a CVS store across the street which took care of filling the fridge for those days we weren't eating out.When we weren't lying by the pool or lazing around on the large private deck, we were discovering all that Key West has to offer on foot...fantastic restaurants, great shopping, sight-seeing, night-life. There was even a public golf course nearby (car rental that day) for my avid golfing husband. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a southern getaway.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
