The property is situated in a commanding location, on the edge of the little village of Gruda, in the region of Konavle, about 30 minutes drive south of Dubrovnik. It occupies an elevated position with 20,000 square miles of ground and splendid views of woods, fields and hills. In front is a big orchard full of olives, mandarins and other fruit trees, you can pick your own fresh produce.
The village of Gruda is 1 kilometer from the house and has shops and bars, a good restaurant serving traditional food is 2 kilometers away called Konavoski Dvori, 10 kilometers to the south is a pebble beach, at Molunat, 20 kilometers north is Cavtat, with a good selection of restaurants, and 5 kilometers on from here is Mlini, which has a nice pebble beach.
Konavle is reminiscent of Tuscany, with it's rolling green hills, speckled with traditional little villages. An easy drive is Dubrovnik, and you can enjoy its history and entertainment, a number of ferries depart from there to nearby islands, as well as the National park, on the Island of Mljet.
The house is surrounded by a big garden and a large covered terrace, with a barbecue, from which you enter through a veranda into the house. You enter into a hall, on your left is a bathroom and water closet and in front is the open plan living room, with two sofas and a satellite television and a dining area with table and chairs. Off the dining area is the kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fitted cupboards and a fridge.
A short corridor leads you to the three bedrooms, each with 2 single beds that can be converted into one double bed, and to the shower room and water closet. The house has electric heaters.
The swimming pool measures 10 x 5 meters and has an outside shower and magnificent views of the countryside, to the hills of Konavle.
Renting a car is essential, as you can not rely on local transport.
The villa comprises of 3 bedrooms in total, 3 twins and 1 cot. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.
The villa has 1 bathroom and 1 water closet for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm. The villa has television video, satellite and cable. The music system will play cassettes,CDs, and radio. If you need to keep in contact, there is a telephone for incoming calls only. There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food, you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, ad a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cooking utensils.
The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, panoramic views and a barbeque. If you are driving, there is private parking.
The villa is right by areas for walking and cycling. Close to the villa you will find a beach, swimming, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, horse riding, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, and a food shop.
Within 30 minutes drive, guests have access to historic sites and a theatre and cinema. Historical places include Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Boka Kotorska.
The villa is 10 minutes from Dubrovnik airport, 30 minutes from City of Dubrovnik, 15 minutes from Cavtat, and 20 minutes from Monte Negro.

We have just returned from thirteen glorious days at this idyllic villa. It ideally suited our family's desire for a mix of seeing sights and relaxing by the pool. This villa has it all! Very convenient to airport, pick-up by very nice Owner, car rental arranged by Owner, made for very easy arrival. The beautiful pool and grounds made relaxing easy and the trip into the town of Gruda was simple. Even better, 15 minute drive to Dubrovnik Airport and 20 minutes to the wonderful seaside village of Cavtat. Easy 40 minute drive into the old city area of Dubrovnik. Very close to border crossing into Montenegro. Villa Milicic is one of the very best places we have ever stayed. Mario was great to deal with, and we enjoyed everything about our visit. We would definitely return on future trips to Croatia. If you are traveling there, you should definitely choose this Villa as your home away from home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I spent 8 days at the villa with members of my family. It was one of those experiences that exceeded my expectations. The house had everything we needed to live the life of luxury. Mario was especially helpful with last minute travel arrangements and advice on places to go and sights to see. The property is much more spacious than pictures can show. The pool area has spectacular views. We spent much of our time lounging in the covered patio area which was convenient for eating, games and much conversation. It is only a short drive to so many things to see and do. Even exploring the local neighborhood proved to be memorable. Give this place consideration for peaceful, luxurious accommodations. It can't be beat. As a bonus, Mario's family wine is a real treat for visitors.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This property is every bit as beautiful as the pics show. We loved the veranda and spent a lot of time in the morning and evenings just enjoying the views. You need a car while there but the location was great to visit many areas in Croatia and Montnegro. Mario and his family couldn't have been nicer. They helped out in many ways with details and directions. I would go back if given the opportunity to stay here. We loved every minute of it. Thanks Mario for helping make our vacation wonderful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
