We had such an amazing time in Playa Car. The home was magnificent and the photos, as beautiful as they are, did not do it justice. We loved the short walk to the beach, 10-15 minute walk to town, the views from the top level, the privacy by the pool and the beauty of the gardens. It was just a fantastic vacation and we are so thankful we stayed as Casa Morado. We would highly recommend it and would stay again.

This home was everything we expected and more . The pictures are a true picture of what you get. The location, the size ,& the decor are perfect for all ages . We have adult children & everyone enjoyed themselves. There was plenty to do & walking down the beach to restaurants etc or walking into town was so easy. We felt extremely safe . Everyone loved their privacy in the house. We took day trips to Cozumel & Tulum . We would definitely go back to Casa Morado!

Cannot say enought about this marvelous place. Brought 3 newbies with us and they were thrilled with the villa and the ideal location. We enjoyed cooking several meals in the newly updated, fully equipped kitchen. We spend many hours by the private pool and a few evening get togethers on the roof top patio taking in the skyline of Cozumel and enjoying the evening breeze. Again, thanks so much to Karen and Doug for providing the perfect vacation home in Playa Del Carmen. Also, thanks to Elo and Carlos.

Karen and Doug! They say that memories are priceless and spending 10 days with our family was just that. The villa was perfect for location, beach, pool and amenities. We very much enjoyed having the "extras" for the kids such as the boogie boards, pool toys, bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. Elena, Elo and Carlos were great, friendly and helped us with our Spanish. We enjoyed the morning wake up calls from the birds and the little lizards kept the grandkids entertained. Our slogan for the trip became "same time next year". Hope that our schedules accommodate a trip to the White Partridge Villa every year! Many thanks for the hospitality extended to us. We rented White Partridge Villa for 2 weeks over the Christmas Holiday Season. Our family had an excellent stay. White Partridge Villa was perfect! It was so much better than staying at a hotel. We had a ton of room inside and outside to spread out. The house is fully equipped for anything you would need. It was so relaxing to be able to bring our chairs, towels, umbrella and cooler to the beach on our own schedule rather than rushing down to a resort beach first thing in order to get a chair and shade. Elo, the housekeeper did a fantastic job during our stay. Everything was spotless! White Partridge Villa has an awesome location. Less than 200 steps to the powder beach, and a short walk to town. Thank You Karen and Doug for a great vacation.

Wonderful, Wonderful Casa Morada......

Many thanks to Karen and Doug for being such gracious hosts. From booking to check-in everything went very smoothly. If you are looking for a very comfortable, centrally located, reasonably priced place to stay in Playa del Carmen RENT THIS VILLA! The perfect place for a family, why would you stay in a hotel when you can have space and privacy for the same price if not less. We would walk out to the main road every couple of days and catch a cab to Walmart(50pesos) to stock up on food for breakfast and lunch and beer/tequila, you know......the essentials. Caught a cab into Playa almost every night for dinner. Had pizza from Dominoes delivered one night which was quite good. There is a restaurant right next to the entrance of Playacar fase uno, has parrots and cockatoos on perches outside and a big fisherman type statue. We really enjoyed this place, the staff were wonderful, the parrots were a hit with my children and the food was interesting and tasty. All in all we had a blissful 10 days spent lazing on the beach or by the pool and basically soaking up some of the wonderful things that Playa has to offer.

Paradise in Playa

We had high hopes when we booked "Casa Morada". When we arrived at the villa we were overwhelmed with delight!!! The location was perfect. The pool and pool area were just the place for morning coffee and night time relaxing as well. The roof top provided a grand vista of the sea and surrounding jungle. We were six people but we all had our privacy. Karen and Doug have provided everything to accommodate visitors. We were lacking for nothing. We walked or took a taxi into town every day. My husband and I always skydive when in Playa and we did this time, landing on the beach just down the street. We are now making our plans to return next May.

I highly recommend this vacation property. The owner's Karen and Doug have gone above and beyond to make this a home away from home. The excellent communication with them made everything easy. The house was very comfortable, everything you could want was provided. The breezy balconies and rooftop offer wonderful views of the ocean and surrounding jungle. The pool was perfect for a dip especially after a day at the beach. The beach was close, clean and loaded with shells. If you don't get to any ruins, don't worry they are scattered throughout the neighborhood. The place was beautiful. We hope to go back hopefully sooner than later. Thanks for everything! My family stayed in the White Partridge Villa over the Christmas holidays in 2007-it was wonderful- perfect location and great bedrooms and balconies. We definitely recommend the house. literally steps from the beach and a great layout for staying with family-plenty of privacy and easy open plan living room, kitchen and dining room.

Jan 4-25, 2010. The house is beautiful and well kept. It is in the perfect location. You feel like you are miles away from the bustle of downtown Playa del Carmen, yet in reality you are just a short walk away. The private beach is steps away and is always peaceful. During our three weeks at WPV there were never more than two or three other families/couples using the beach. Although we did our fair share of touring with trips to Xcaret, Chichen Itza, Cozumel, etc..., we never really needed to go anywhere because WPV had everything. It is really enough to enjoy the beautiful local flora, relax in one of the WPV hammocks or on the roof deck, grill freshly caught fish (bought from a local fisherman), and just enjoy each others company. Our 4yr old son loved being able to use the pool when we were not at the beach. This was the most beautiful and relaxing vacation we have ever spent as a family. WPV exceeded our expectations.

Awesome villa and vacation - we love the Riveria Maya area and the Carribean! The owners have made this a complete vacation home. The WI-FI secure access and sattelite TV are nice to have access to technology. There are balconies with each bedroom and a stunning view of the ocean from the upper floor and top deck! The pool area is great and the beach is only a short walk away. We loved being in an exclusive area, yet within walking distance to 5th Avenue restaurants and shopping, and close to the beach for swimming, sunning, snorkeling, hunting for sea shells - ahhhhh! We can go on and on!!!! We will be renting this villa again and recommend it to anyone - we can't say enough good about it!

August 29-September 6,2009 We had an absolutely wonderful time at White Partridge Villa. This villa is so comfortable, spacious and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and each room had plenty of room to put our belongings. Some of the best features of this villa are it's proximity to the beautiful/quiet beach (a two minute walk) and to town (5 minute bike ride), great air conditioning, and a lovely terrace on top to watch sunsets and sunrises over the ocean. We made great use of the bikes, beach chairs, sun umbrella and refreshing pool. This villa is perfect for families or couples. You can keep to yourself in town and at the beach or explore the Mayan Riviera.. whatever you decide to do, you will really enjoy your stay there. We will definitely come back!

1/31-2/6/09 - Wonderful visit to the best neighborhood in Playa - The villa was wonderful, very attractive, comfortable and unique. All three couples loved all the different views from the balconies and the rooftop terrace with its magnificent view. We moved from one balcony to the other depending on the time of day, the weather and how much we had to drink. Kitchen well supplied and the BBQ grill makes cooking a snap. Easy walk to town and right down the street a beautiful section of beach. We think it a perfect location.

There were 3 couples of us that stayed at the White Partridge. It was so much more than we expected. There was room to spread out and yet spaces to be all together. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful. We immediately booked for the same week next year.

hola thank you thank you we had a wonderful time at your home in playa. all went very well. the house was comfortable and worked great for us: my wife and i, my son and his wife (with baby in the belly) and my daughter and her boyfriend. we felt very lucky to have connected with you and the white partridge to live our week in playa. the care and attention we received fromm erin was great. carlos kept the pool nice and supervised the pump replacement (as best as i can tell) and elo kept the house sparkling and fresh. we had a dinner and a breakfast prepared by blanca which was spectacular. laura wanted to pack up blanca, carlos and elo and bring them back to maine with us. the beach was lovely and private. the pool was comfortable to relax in and around. the grounds were beautiful and manicured. the neighborhood and neighbors were peaceful and friendly. the sun was great. the heat was good and not too much of it. the people of playa del carmen friendly and very congenial. we ate and drank well all week. the wedding was terrific. great to see lots of our family and many events through the week to keep us busy. we snorkeled in akumal which was fantastic and spent a day in chichen (which has gone through some changes since we were there 30 years ago) and had an incredible guide for the day who was wonderful. all in all a great vacation highlighted by our incredible accomodations in your home. thanks again. we are happy to be contacted for reccomendations. we could not have found a better place to stay. michael michael r rifkin greene, maine 04236

Hi Karen and Doug, We had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful, it was nice to have lounge chairs around the pool and on the roof...we certainly enjoyed! Our grandchildren wanted to stay in the pool most of the time, little Avery, she was a year old in November almost fell asleep in her little water chair...or whatever you call those things. Kaiya really took to the ocean, we have some great pictures. Our son and daughter-in law could not stop thanking us for bringing them to Mexico and to such a lovely villa. Erin was a great help to us, Elo was a lovely person as was Carlos. You have the perfect people working for you as they made our visit even more enjoyable. We have no complaints, to us we were in heaven! What also was so great was the fact that our son and his family had the whole second floor , a home away form home. If Gerry had a little too much to drink and did snore...not saying that he did, I had another bed to go to for a good nights sleep! It was lovely sitting around the pool in the evening with the lights on around the patio table and chairs. I also like the fact that your villa is off of the main road, it is nice and private, only saw a few people walk by. Sorry for going on and on, but we just had the best time. This was by far the best vacation I have ever been on. The villa was absolutely gorgeous; the rooms were perfect and each had there own bathroom. It was nice to have your own balcony off of your room. Everything was withing walking distance, and the scenery was beautiful. I would recommend this to anybody and I would definately stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time during our three week stay (August 2003) in the White Partridge.  Everything was perfect!  Our entire family kept saying "This is our best vacation ever!"  Everyone connected with the villa and it's day to day operations was great. I felt so comfortable from the moment I  first stepped in. You should feel very proud of all the love and thought that you have put into this home. We were as busy or as sedentary as we pleased the entire time. The pool area is so-o-o relaxing and what a lovely beach! We did some diving, and hit just about all the restaurants on 5th Ave.  Now for the diet!  All our children really had a wonderful time.  All the girls had a massage from Ascucena, the massage therapist that came to the villa about 5 times.  Our granddaughter had a ball at the beach, in the pool and she and I had some great afternoon siestas in the hammock off the master bedroom.Thanks for all your help and thoughtful information.

We really enjoyed our two-week vacation (Feb 2003) at the White Partridge Villa!  The villa was very comfortable for 3 couples.  It has nice bedroom and bathroom spaces.  The kitchen was outfitted very well for cooking large meals or just making quesadillas for snacks.  Nidia was very pleasant as she cleaned the house on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.  We loved the size of the pool, the pool lounges and chairs.  Melchor kept the pool as clean as possible and we could set our clocks by his 7AM arrival.  The close proximity to the beach is a real plus; we spent many days walking the beach and having fun in the water.  Security personnel were always present and always pleasant.  We really appreciated the daily water delivery and garbage pickup.  We found the walking paths to Playa Del Carmen provided a shortcut during the heat of the day and gave us an unexpected view of the backside of Mayan ruins. At night, we always walked back from town using the roadway for easier walking.   During the past 8 years of vacationing together in different Mexican cities, this is the first time that all 6 members of our vacation group have asked to return to the same city and vacation rental property.  All of us were that impressed with the villa, its location, and the Playacar area.

We stayed at White Partridge Villa over April 18-24 2003 (Easter Week). Playa del Carmen is a great town and base for exploring the Riviera Maya. The villa is located in the quiet and secure gated community of PlayaCar. The Villa offers every comfort and convenience. It is very clean and well-maintained. The 2nd floor is comprised of the master suite with a king bed, bath, fridge and large terrace. Our 2 daughters each had their own bedroom on the third floor with a queen bed, bathroom and private terrace w/view of the beach. All beds are very comfortable. The rooftop terrace, on the 4th floor, has unimpeded views of the beach and the island of Cozumel--a special place to watch a beautiful sunrise. With a fully-equipped kitchen and a gas grill on the patio, meal prep is a snap. The pool, with its own waterfall, is a great place for a relaxing dip. All rooms are air-conditioned which is a plus on those hot days (and nights). Bottled water is provided, so there is no worry about "tourista." The owner, Marci, was most helpful - providing lots of info about the area and addressing every question or concern that we raised. She is truly interested in making your vacation perfect in every way. We can't say enough about her caring attitude, and genuine interest in her guests' comfort. We would highly recommend a stay at the White Partridge--you will definitely enjoy it!! Value = 5 , Overall = 5

My family and I spent last spring break at White-Partidge. This was one of our best vacations ever! The location is perfect. A quick walk to Play Del Carmen, but far enough away to avoid noise and traffic. The beach is close and nearly exclusive. The amenities more than adequate. The boys played in the pool while the girls went shopping. The house is close to Xel-Ha and Xcaret, only 45 minutes from the airport. We shall return!

We have been going to Playa del Carmen for 10 years now, and recently we have stayed twice at the White Partridge Villa (Summer 2000 and Spring 2001). It is a beautiful and well maintained house. The full kitchen, pool and air-conditioning are wonderful extras. The property manager and owners are serious about making your stay and pleasant and enjoyable experience. This house will make your stay in Playa extra special. We highly recommend the White Partridge Villa.

We stayed at the White Partridge for 2 weeks in Feb. 2001. Without a doubt renting the villa is far superior to any hotel we have stayed. The location is excellent, quiet neighborhood, with lovely cobblestone streets. Beach is a two minute walk. And my favorite thing of all, the color Purple. Its what sold me on renting this villa more than any other villa. Not to mention Marci White is extremely nice and the most helpful in all aspects regarding the villa and Playa. More so than any travel agent I had encountered in the past. We would rent the White Partridge Villa again and again.

We just got back from our second visit to the White Partridge Villa (Aug 2000). Once again, we had an exceptional time! The house is in a perfect location - one short block from the beach, in a beautiful neighborhood. The main shopping area is just a few short blocks away. The house has everything and is very spacious. During our stay, any needs and questions were handled by Teresa the property manager - she is extremely helpful and very accomodating (she knows where everything is and can recommend some really good places to eat and fun things to do). The neighbors are friendly and helpful as well. We've stayed at other places in Playa del Carmen, but the location and value of this villa cannot be beat! We now call Marci (the owner) to ensure availabilty before making travel plans. Can't wait to go back!!!

We just returned (Sept. 00) from an 8-night stay at the White Partridge, and couldn't have been happier than being able to call this wonderful villa our "home" for the duration of our visit!! The house is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. An incredible and almost secluded beach is only a 3 minute stroll away, and walking into town was also only a short 10 minute walk. Marci White, the owner we booked through, couldn't have been a nicer person to deal with, or have been more concerned about all aspects of our comfort prior to and after our stay at her home. Renting this villa is the perfect alternative to anyone tired of overcrowed,non private, and impersonal "mega" resorts! We loved it!!!
