We had a wonderful stay at the Seattle View property, and the View was indeed a highlight. But the most important highlights were the location and the parking. The property includes access to a two car garage. This is a very important feature for this area of Seattle, or anywhere in Seattle for that matter. It was great to pull up at the property on our first day, pull both vehicles into the garage and then leave them! The Eastlake neighborhood is a great place to start explorations of Seattle. There are several fun bistros and coffee opportunities within walking distance of the house. 14 Carrots (an old favorite) and Louisa's (great new favorite) are two very special breakfast and brunch spots - great fresh ingredients and wonderful choices. Voxx coffee is right down the hill from the house. It is a wonderful coffee spot. The home's location in the grand scheme is also very convenient. When we left the neighborhood, we did use our car. We did not avail ourselves of public transportation, but the highway access is amazingly easy. The exits to I 5 North and I 5 South are within a couple of blocks of the house, one exit to the North is the Wallingford neighborhood and one exit to the South is the City Center. Very close access to Capitol Hill neighborhood as well. The home itself is very nice and comfortable. We did not use the kitchen to cook (too many good restaurants nearby) , but the coffee maker was used every day! The kitchen was well appointed and if we had wanted to cook, we could have prepared a gourmet meal on the gas range. I was tempted! The bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet. We easily slept five adults in three bedrooms. The house was clean and comfortable. Our only disappointment was the home's temperature. The home's radiant heating is set a bit warm. We are a warm-blooded family and we were often too hot even with the doors open, with no way to turn the heat down. Finally, THE VIEW! Wow! I would love to rent this house during Fourth of July festivities, but I'm sure it's booked years in advance on that Holiday! You have perfect views of the city and Space Needle, as well as a lovely view of Fairmont Bridge and Lake Union and the Olympic Mountains when the clouds clear. Watching Sea Planes landing during the day was very cool and fun. I have already recommended this home to others and we would definitely go back again if the opportunity arises.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope when you come back to Seattle you will stay with us again. So sorry about the house being warm. Right before you arrived there was a cold spell and the heat was turned too high.

Anne was such a great person to work with when it came to planning our stay for our weekend getaway to Seattle. She responded to my emails right away, and was super flexible with us. We had booked our flights before we had booked a place, but Anne allowed us to check-in earlier and also check-out later to help us out. It was great! The place looked even better in pictures. The view of the Seattle skyline from the top floor was amazing, and the place was a lot bigger than what I had expected. The place was super clean and spacious, and we felt right at home. We're really glad we stayed here, and would totally come back in the future! Thanks, Anne, for everything! :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was such a great townhouse for a gathering of our young adult family. It is so centrally located, with easy on/off freeway access, and terrific views. The way the townhouse is laid out, made for plenty of space and privacy, but with a nice common area for cooking, eating and playing games. There are a lot of stairs with 4 total stories from garage to master bedroom, so would not be good for people who have trouble with stairs. It was very quiet. Nice heated floors. I especially loved the balconies and the master jetted tub. The kitchen had everything we needed and more for preparing meals together. Plus, the owner was fantastic to work with! Very prompt and efficient. The whole family loved the home, and we would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house looks just like the pictures. Five of us stayed here--two couples and a teen. Rooms are very comfortable, kitchen is well-stocked, master bath shower is spacious, and the balcony off the master bedroom was a treat. Also loved having the garage, as well as the keyless entry. It meant we didn't have to leave the door unlocked for the night owls or juggle one key. Good public transportation and a quick drive into the city too. And nothing beats a quick walk for a good morning cup of coffee at Voxx's or tahini French toast at 14-Carrot Cafe. The only negative is the weather was a little warm for Seattle standards, so the bedrooms (except the master, which had the large sliding glass door we could open) didn't cool down at night as much as we would have liked. But you can't fault the owner for a hot spell.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our recent trip to Seattle was my idea, and after one look at the owner’s pictures of her panoramic view, I coaxed my husband and three grown teens into going (admittedly from my end in search only of cooler weather, chocolate, and coffee). One of our older girls expressed her reservations when, according to her I-phone, the top 15 things to do were museums and parks (not exactly her cup of tea). Then only a few days before we were to leave I happened on Google Maps and had to admit having a few reservations myself, when seeing an unflattering photo of the property. Other East Coast friends seemed surprised at our choice in venues, asking: “What’s in Seattle?” or “Won’t it be cold and rainy?” Fast forward to our arrival on Seattle soil and our first view of what was to be our residence for the week and let me tell you, we were all pleasantly and completely thrilled and surprised. Ann’s home is just as charming as pictured on her website (if not more) –ignore the Google Map pic, for it is completely deceiving. Instead, what you get is a beautiful, well-maintained, four-level townhome in a convenient city location with cute alleyways and flowers and views all around. We didn’t have a car the entire time and did just fine using our feet and varied forms of inexpensive public transportation. We HIGHLY recommend Charles’ 90 minute comedy tour---a great, fun way to view all parts of the city. We also managed to pack in trips to several museums (which the naysayer daughter actually enjoyed!) and even an easy trip to a beautiful beach—Alki Beach---also highly recommend. Had a scrumptious meal at Joey’s on the waterfront (walked there!) and other restaurants ---too many to count. Coffee shops, flea markets, and shopping of all kinds were everywhere—lots to see and do. My teen son brought his longboard and skated all around town independently, meeting nice people and scaling new hills. The weather turned out to be gorgeous---sunny most days---surprise!—and fantastic cool evenings. The views from the balconies of the home were breathtaking. The double massage shower and whirlpool tub were perfect for tired feet ---the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was beautiful. Just returned to triple digit East Coast temps and we’re already wishing we were back in Seattle. By all means look up Seattle for your next vacation and definitely book this home—I promise it will exceed all expectations.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The six of us had a wonderful time at your place! Frankly, it was everything as advertised -- but better. It just doesn't happen that often. I think, in part, it was because of the video clips and all of the written information about the place and the neighborhood. There were only pleasant surprises. Like: (1) the nifty view of Queen Anne Hill where my Dad and his brothers were raised, (2) the Sleepless in Seattle DVD, (3) the sea-planes landing and taking off, (4) the super neighborhood, (5) the use of the door code for access, and (6) that wonderful garage. We were there to celebrate what would have been my Dad's 100th birthday. We had a party with just over 30 well-wishers. One of my cousins I had not seen since the World's Fair in 1962! It was a great excuse for a party/reunion! We really appreciated all of your recommendations. We toured most of the family sites -- like Alki Point and West Seattle High (my Mom graduated in 1927) and Queen Anne High (my Dad graduated in 1928). We even hit Lake View Cemetery for some family members. A real find for us was the Belmont neighborhood. That was new to us. Thank you so much, Anne!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The vacation rental is beautiful. Looks better in person. Large comfortable rooms. Space for my adult children & grandchildren. Awesome water views. Easy access to I5. Walkable neighborhood. Enjoyed the convenience of the corner store & nearby ethnic restaurants. Has several stairs so need to be able bodied...my husband injured his back prior to going on vacation so he felt the stairs. The rest of us did fine (including the grandchildren ages 12 & 7) Would remove or attach TV components if not working (a little deceiving) Owners did offer the use of pay TV in lieu of properly working equipment. I would recommend to friends, family & re visit on subsequent vacations.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Melanie for your postive review of my beautiful home in Seattle. I checked the "tv components" and the dvd player was simply unplugged. Glad you enjoyed your stay!!

We recently stayed at this lovely rental property while visiting Seattle. It was everything that it states it is. Location was great; the accommodations were excellant; Anne was extremely accommodating!! Anything we had questions about, she was able to help us. Some in our party took the 90 minute Seattle Quik Tour at Anne's recommendation. They couldn't say enough great things about it. Charlie, the tour guide, was not only informative but quite entertaining. I would highly recommend this vacation home. It win't disappoint!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My in laws were visiting from Germany for a bit over 2 weeks and this place went above and beyond our expectations. Anne was so great to deal with and made renting this gorgeous house so easy! The house was clean and in prime location but the best part was the amazing views and fabulous kitchen. We had 6 people stay at the house but hosted a few larger family dinners in which we fit comfortably. We will definitely be renting this place when our family visits again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Never again wil I stay in a fancy hotel in Seattle with paper thin walls, the sounds of showers running elsewhere, and very little help with planning my itinerary or just help in getting around the town. I have fiinally found a charming place with the bonus of a good bed, a helpful owner willing to provide me with places to go and things to do in the professional community guide that is supplied. The owner even provided coupons to nearby attractions and restaurants. I felt like I was in a "home away from home", with the privacy and quiet I needed to do reports and the information I needed for taking the family on a break in town. I am already booking for my next trip to Seattle. This is the best deal in Seattle I have ever found. I wish it had not taken me so long.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Stayed here with my significant other and two other couples, and we really enjoyed the home. The home was clean and well kept, the kitchen was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and the surrounding location was great... just a short walk got us whatever we needed. Having all six of us in the same home, but each able to have our own privacy when we needed it, made for an excellent social experience. Far better than the three hotel rooms we were initially considering ever could have. This 4-story townhome had everything a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 teens) needed. This home is awesome--we've already made it "ours." The home was clean upon arrival and ideally located for us to tour Seattle. Everything that is listed in the description, to include the pictures, of this home is accurate and operational. The views of Seattle were awesome. It was the first time my family saw sea planes land in Lake Union. One of the kids said it was "like a movie" to look up from the kitchen and out of the balcony window seeing a plane take off towards the Olympic Mountain range. Our summer vacation in Seattle was perfect temperature wise; no humidity like the East Coast! It was a breath of fresh air. There is more than enough information on the table about Seattle tours that it was hard to choose which activity to do! Getting around Seattle without a rental car is possible. We caught the Lite Rail from the airport to downtown Seattle. There is a busstop nearby, saving on parking costs. If you catch a bus to Seattle Center/Space Needle, you can catch the monorail downtown to other Seattle attractions. Bring walking shoes. We toured the Space Needle, Ride the Duck Tour, Pike Place, and Alki Beach (West Seattle), the waterfront (Ivars and the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop), not all in one day, of course. The Duck Tour was great. Our tour guide very informative, offering tidbits about Seattle. Our visit to Pike Place was a little crowded, but a vist to the market would not be complete without it. We saw "flying fish" and visited the very first Starbucks store. We also explored Alki Beach at low tide and even had an opportunity to see a harbor seal pose for us. Great for beachcombers! After a day of walking, the jacuzzi tub in the master bath came in very handy for a foot massage. I wish we had the time to do more: ride the ferry to Bainbridge Island (30 min ride from the waterfront to the island), go on the Underground Tour, and take an Argosy tour to Tillicum Village. We rented a car (that could be parked in the two-car garage) and drove to Mt Rainier National Park (about 2 hours away). We took the scenic drive Paradise and turned around before it go too dark. If you're a big adventurer and love hiking, this is a great place to do it! We loved the townhouse, we love Seattle...We will be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family spent the last 5 nights of our 3 week vacation and this wonderful property. We have 4 children under the age of 10 so it was nice to have the separate living spaces for the kids on the second level. We were able to walk to the local park which had a nice playground and a lot of free space for the kids to run around. My kids also enjoyed walking down to the water and looking at the house boats. We walked to Voxx or Starbucks every morning for our coffee and the 14 carrot cafe was wonderful for breakfast and lunch. We were lucky enough to have 80 degree weather with beautiful blue skies for our entire stay. We never took any public transport to city....we felt with 6 of us renting a car was easier to get around.....we drove to Trader Joe's, Fremont, Ballard Locks, and of course downtown. We liked having the use of the car. This area was the place to be on the 4th of July....we stayed close to home, used the grill to BBQ and had a nice evening view from Master Bedroom for the fireworks......it was wonderful.......the only complaint I would have would be the layout of the family room.....I wish there was more comfy seating for adults....but I'm not exactly sure how it could be worked out....still I would rate this property top notch.....!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

From the upstairs bedroom you have a pretty much unobstructed panorama of not only Lake Washington, but also the Space Needle and downtown Seattle. Especially pretty ay night! We had a wonderful 10 day working stay at the Lake Union Townhome with a fabulous view. All of the amenities of home, comfortable beds, washer dryer, very clean and well appointed. Easy freeway access. We have stayed in hotels in the past but we thought we would give this a try this year, we were not disappointed. It was nice to come home at the end of the day to a secured 2 car garage (we didn’t have to deal with a parking garage & elevators!). Wonderful gourmet kitchen met our needs, however there are great restaurants nearby and a Starbucks right down the hill after my morning walk. For anyone coming to Seattle for a visit, I highly recommend this property. Owners were great to work with! We rented the house for a week and it could not have been better for us!!! We went to Seattle to go to a bunch of baseball games and the location was perfect, only a $10-$12 ride to Safeco Field. It was also very close to many other awesome places to see and visit in Seattle. Plus you are just off of the I-5 so its super easy to jump on it and head north or south for shopping or whatever. The house itself was gorgeous, 3 minute walk down to the water, awesome view and the inside was immaculate. The owner herself (Stacy) is super friendly and more than accomodating answering any questions we had about the house or city. We were lucky enough to have a heat wave the week we were there, however there was plenty of fans supplied that help us keep cool. Thanks so much for everything, we had a GREAT time!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This property was perfect for our group of 6, 50year old women celebrating a birthday. There are many good restaurants, both breakfast and Dinner within a couple blocks. The owner has a notebook out with many helpful hints. ( the yellow cab which we utilized many times ,local restaurants,(Serafina's very good for dinner, 2 blocks away as well as Louisa"s which we enjoyed for a dinner as well as a breakfast. Across the street from Louisa"s is a nail place where manicure and pedicure is $30 between 10:00 and 3:00. We also enjoyed Pete"s wine shop. Great selections at good prices. We did go to Whole Foods , but after shopping at Costco I do not think you can beat their prices and quality of produce. Our only issue with this place was the fishy smell. As long as we kept the windows open it was fine.We steeped some cloves and orange rind on the stove which helped. .Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. We used the trolley as well as the Light rail and found it very convenient if you don't mind walking about 15 minutes to the trolley. I didn't check out the bus which looked very convenient from Eastlake to Downtown.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Thank you for your guest book entry! We are always happy to hear about our guest's visits to Seattle! I apologize for the fishy smell. It must have been someone cooking fish and spilling oils, I assure you my cleaning lady has been notified of the problem and has throughly cleaned with sanitizing steam machine. Thanks, Stacy Manager Seattle View Property

Thanks to Stacy for her help with this rental - very easy transaction. Our group had a great time, there was plenty of space for everyone (we even set up an air mattress in the living room instead of using the convertible couch). And like the other reviews have said, the freeway is not an issue at all, it just looks close on the map. Immaculate house, modern and clean.Owner response: Thank you Marabeth for your guest book entry! We always appreciate the feedback! Glad you had a good stay!

We had a business trip at the last minute and brought my family along (two girls under 4) and the house was fantastic. Great views on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Wonderful kitchen. Great bathrooms, very very comfortable beds, no noise - really a great experience all told. The landlords were SUPER helpful in our last minute needs and you couldn't ask for nicer or more understanding folk.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Frz for your complement on our management! We love to hear that we are pleasing our guests! Thanks for your business! Thanks, Stacy Manager Seattle View Property

Where can I start? The house was breath taking. In a perfect location just a couple minutes from downtown. Two blocks from one of the best pizza restaurants in Seattle, not to mention they stay open till 12am with full bar and a killer coffee house next door. They were not joking about the views of downtown and the space needle. You could enjoy an unobstructed view from two patios while enjoying a fresh brew. All rooms where spotless and large especially the master bed room. The master bathroom was a blessing for the wife. Roman tub with jets and dual showerheads. It makes a big difference after a long day of indulging on coffee and shopping for fresh seafood. To top it off the property management company went over and above to make sure our stay was enjoyable. This house pound for pound exceeds anything downtown or the surrounding area has to offer. Not only are we coming back this is the only place we will stay. Thank you for the privilege to stay at your property. It was a memory that will stay with us forever. We stayed here in October of 2009 for a long weekend and this house is nice and conveniently located near some great dining and breakfast spots. Plus you are very close to downtown and all the attractions. We give this place our highest recommendation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Six of us (three couples) opera fans enjoyed our week-long stay here in August. We liked the neighborhood with its coffee houses, shops, and restaurants. We liked having 2 1/2 baths. We liked having three separate bedrooms and a large living-room-kitchen where we could gather to enjoy meals, one another's company, and the views. We also liked having a private two-car garage downstairs where we could always park. Stairs are the only drawback. The place has four levels: garage at the ground level; two bedrooms and a full bath at the next level; combined living room and kitchen plus a half-bath at the next higher level; and the master bedroom and master bath at the top level. Would we rent there again? You betcha!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We found this property to be one of the shining highlights of our trip! This was our first foray into vacation rentals, so we did not know what to expect. What we found was a fully furnished home that met all of our needs and then some. The location is excellent and the amenities that she has put into this house are first rate! The views of Lake Union and the city are first rate and again, if you are looking for something close to town, then just think location, location, location!!!! The whole process was run VERY well and our group that travelled to Seattle fully intends on looking at this place again when we make our next venture up north! You can't go wrong with this property........you won't regret your choice!!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Where do I start...I want to comment on how much my family and I enjoyed our stay at your establishment. The place was just what we were looking for...a home away from home. Everything in the house was up to date, including the 3 bedrooms and the beautiful kitchen/living room area. My wife and I scored the Master bedroom, only because we arranged the trip. If not, we would have been fighting for it. The room had a jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and the most amazing view of Lake Union and the city. We rented a car and drove 5 minutes to Downtown Seattle and 5 minutes to the University of Washington area. Parking here is free; unlike the $35+ overnight charge they get you with staying at a hotel. We took advantage of the kitchen and the BBQ outside for dinner, and hung out by the fireplace at night. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this house to anyone who is contemplating on staying here or not. Anne, you have outdone yourself! Mahalo for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Dear Anne,Our family members from Germany returned home on their Lufthansa flight this afternoon. I think they left with many great memories which included your Boylston home. When we arrived at the house on the 14th, they walked through and could not believe how nice it was. The two senior members of the family claimed the upstairs bedroom and were very comfortable with all that was there. The soaking tub, the view, and the bed were all wonderful. However the two couples that used the downstairs bedrooms were equally as happy. The kitchen-living room area was a great gathering place and they especially liked the fireplace. Again, the view was fantastic looking out over Lake Union towards the Olympics and the Space Needle. Everything worked well and they used the kitchen facilities quite a bit. The gas stove and oven were great. We used the BBQ on the last night which was my brother-in-law’s birthday. The TV was nice and large and having cable with music was great since watching English language shows was not very interesting to them. We used our two cars to transport them on many “field trips” and being able to leave one car in the garage was very helpful. We never heard I-5 while we were there and the neighborhood was great for making quick grocery trips. Bus service was excellent and allowed them to go to and from town easily without any issues.Your house felt like a home to them and I am so pleased that it all worked so well. Thank you too for being so accommodating with our arrival and departure needs. If you ever need a reference about the house, please do not hesitate to have people contact us.Sincerely,Phil Sanders and Christiane HelbigKenmore, WADid you find this review helpful? This was a great property to stay in with my girlfriends for a long, relaxed weekend. The kitchen opens right up into the living area, so it's easy to cook and maintain conversations. The location makes it an easy drive to other parts of the city, and it's an easy hop onto the highway in order to get out of town and see some of the surrounding landscapes.Did you find this review helpful? An absolutely great place to stay while in Seattle. The house was very comfortable, neat and clean. This obviously reflects highly on the owner's desire to maintain her townhouse to the highest standards. This place was great to come home to after a day of seeing all of the sites in Seattle. With 3 floors, you can get away for some quiet/alone time, if you need it, while everyone else does there own thing. Wireless internet allows you to figure out vacation plans while you are there. The Eastlake neighborhood is quiet but offers a nice assortment of choices for eating, both takeout and at a restaurant. You're able to walk down the hill, pick up the morning paper, grab a great cup of coffee, and return home, sitting on the upstairs deck, enjoying the leisure and the incredible view. My wife felt as if she was in Europe with the view of Lake Union and the surrounding areas. Parking is never a problem with the garage on the bottom floor of the townhouse and the highway is nearby for easy traveling. Also, any noise from the highway is background noise and hardly noticeable, and we live in a very quiet suburban area. I couldn't recommend this place high enough. I certainly hope we stay there again on our next vacation to Seattle.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Wanted to append to my original positive feedback. We stayed for 3 days July 07, and despite the record heatwave forcing us to leave all windows open, the highway sound was NOT a problem. It's very much like a steady river-like hum, not at all like New York, Chicago, LA, etc. The townhouse faces west (toward the water) and there were no problems with traffic, noise, neighbors or anything. We just loved our stay, a charming area with convenient access to all the best parts of Seattle. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental. My original comments: Wow! All six of us loved it! "Panoramic" doesn't begin to describe the views. High quality and a terrific bargain. Even the twin beds were larger than expected and very comfortable. Great job, Anne! Rita Lenser, Broomfield CO 303-438-8600 11/20/07 Positive When we found this place for rent, we never expected to find what we found when we arrived to this 4 story townhouse. Our children felt so at home when we sat down and took a glance of the Space Needle from the 3rd story balcony. It never accured to them that we where staying in someone elses home. This home has such a warm feeling. The Master Suite is to die for and the huge soaking tub in the master bathroom is unbelievable. This house is such a joy to stay at we recommend for anybody to stay here. Thank you again Anne. Barbie Torgeson, Portland Oregon 08/27/07 Positive Anne, Thanks again for the use of your rental home. Your home is beautiful and we had a great time. We love the view of the Space Needle from the balconies. The location was perfect for all the events we had planned. Nick, El Segundo, CA 08/16/07 Positive We are so glad to have found your "sanctuary in the city!" Your place is beautiful, stylish, warm, VERY quiet, super convenient on/off the freeway, yet surrounded by the best of Seattle. Each bedroom had plenty of privacy, and the kitchen/entertaining area drew us all together with that great view. Thanks again, we'll return soon! Rebecca N., Bellingham, WA 12/04/06 Positive I just wanted to email you to express our delight with your townhouse in the Eastlake neighborhood. Everything about your place was wonderful - the beautiful rooms, the king bed, the walk-in shower, the well appointed kitchen, the large garage, the wireless internet, the convenient location, the great neighborhood, and of course the spectacular view.
