Nestled in the woods on 1.4 acres and accessed by a private road near Route 100, you will have the privacy you seek for relaxation away from it all while being close enough to the village of Ludlow (two miles), Okemo (1 mile to Jackson Gore entrance) and its surrounding areas to fully enjoy your stay in southern Vermont. One step outside our front door in the winter puts you in close proximity to some of the best skiing on the East Coast-- you will be only 1 mile to Okemo, 15 miles from Killington, and a short drive from several other top ski resorts. Our home also gives you quick and easy access to snowmobile trails, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, sledding and a multitude of other fun winter activities.
When the snow thaws, the outdoor fun continues for the whole family with your choice of swimming, boating/kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, tennis, mountain biking, cycling, hiking and a championship golf course all within a few miles drive. To get a taste of Vermont arts and culture, you will be also be a short drive from wonderful antique shops, boutiques, galleries and live theater in Ludlow, Chester, Weston, Woodstock, and the nearby communities.
The Little Blue Chalet will serve as your Vermont home base for all these great activities! Our house is fully-furnished and comes with all the bed linens, pillows, and towels you will need for your stay. For families with small children, we have a nice complement of baby and toddler equipment, games, videos and toys to make your stay with little ones comfortable and easy.
The house accommodates a total of nine guests-- two of our bedrooms have queen beds (recently purchased), one bedroom is a bunk room with three singles and we offer a comfortable futon double sleeper in the living room. The kitchen comes fully-equipped with all the appliances, flatware, dishes, glasses, and cookware to make your stay enjoyable. On days/nights you do not want to experience the local restaurant scene in Ludlow or the neighboring towns, our dining area can seat up to 12 people for a perfect home-cooked meal!
