The apartment is exactly as described but even so we were not prepared for how good it is. It is a lovely apartment, beautifully decorated with great furnishings. The property is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The provided sledge was especially appreciated by our daughters. Everything is spotless and perfectly maintained. The service provided by the owner and the Chalet service in Wengen was faultless with helpful and polite service. The location is excellent for skiing. From the apartment to the gondola in 2 minutes (on skis) which whisks you to the top of the mountain in 5 minutes. The beauty of the area is unbelievable and on a sunny day the views are breathtaking. I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous apartment.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: We aim to provide guests with a quality stay in the apartment and to that end we have furnished it to a high standard with attractive furnishings and some special touches. The location in the village is super, whether guests are skiing to the cable car and nursery area, or exploring the many walks and hikes in the summer, or wanting to take a dip in the swimming pool next door - they are all within easy reach.

Once again we had a most enjoyable holiday in Wengen and Chalet Walbort. The chalet was as usual extremely well presented with absolutely everything we could have wanted to make our stay a very pleasurable experience. Wengen and the surrounding area was superb, maybe not the usual exceptionally good weather we have become accustomed to, but never the less we thoroughly enjoyed the hiking and scenery. Thoroughly recommended.Owner response: We are delighted that you had another memorable stay stay in Chalet Waldbort and Wengen and enjoyed all that Wengen has to offer.

Chalet Waldbort is the ideal place to stay for a skiing holiday in Wengen, it's 5 minutes walk into the village, less than 100m from a ski slope and you're only 2 minutes from the main cable car. The apartment itself is fantastic, spotlessly clean, warm thanks to underfloor heating. There has been no expense spared with the fixtures, fittings, furniture, gadgets and gizmos, there's a fully kitted out kitchen area with everything you could possible need to cook any meal. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here and we will definitely be going back the next time we ski in Wengen.Owner response: Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Wengen and we hope to see you again!

I cannot have asked for a better accommodation in the beautiful town of Wengen! The location is perfect to begin exploring all that this region has to offer, with the special advantage of the gorgeous train ride up and down the valley to Lauterbrunnen. Wengen is on the sunny side of the valley, and there are so many gondolas and cable cars all within easy reach, and walking trails galore. The visit up to the Jungfraujoch is not to be missed, and my burger at the restaurant at the Kleine Scheidegg rail station was delicious in the warm summer sun! Trummelbach Falls are spectacular, as well as the stunning view from the Schilthorn. There is no problem finding the chalet, and the chalet service is always available to answer your questions. The listing description is 100% accurate and then some ... absolutely spotless, impeccably maintained, equipped with everything you need, loved the special toiletries and slippers! And a wonderful cosy decor -- my children and I loved coming home each day after our treks to pop in a DVD and play some cards. Having the washer/dryer in the laundry room was an added bonus. Gazing at the stars at night and listening to the cow bells all added to the whole experience. I would not hesitate at all recommending this chalet, in fact I'm busy trying to plan a way to make it back! Thanks Wendy for everything, you made planning/booking this chalet a breeze.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the comprehensive review Jacquie. I am delighted that you and your family enjoyed Wengen as much as we do and found the apartment a real home from home to come back to each day after days out.

Spotlessly clean, beautifully presented apartment. We have been so disappointed in the past with self catering accomm that we had stopped using apartments. Chalet Walbort was recommended to us by our daughter and son in law and did not disappoint. There was nothing that Wendy hadn't thought of. Situated just up a short hill from the town centre the area was so peaceful and quiet. All the photos were accurate, in the laundry room was a washer and seperate dryer belonging to the chalet that were easy to use. Loads of DVDs if you want to stay in. The best equipped kitchen I have ever come across. There's not much more I can say other than it was worth every penny.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

First, let me say that if you're going to Berner Oberland, stay in Wengen. Period. It is enough off of the beaten path that you don't get the crowds and there's no lack of things to do. And of course, there's the scenery. Breathtaking seems inadequate. But enough about the magnificence of Wengen. Chalet Waldbort was perfect in every way. Very quiet, cozy, wonderful amenities - the owner has thought of everything to make your stay perfect! And it had everything from a wonderful coffee maker to laundry facilities to VERY COMFORTABLE beds (which was great after days of long hikes). It was always wonderful to come back to and sit out on the deck and stare at the magnificence of the Jungfrau and the Lauterbrunnen Valley!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed at Chalet Walbort for 4 days in early October just as the busy summer season was winding down. We couldn't have picked a better time. The weather was perfect for hiking with MANY opportunities to explore the spectacular area. While many shops and restaurants were closed or closing, it only added to the serenity of the location and fed our desire to just kick back. Wendy provided all the local information and comforts we would need to settle-in right away and really feel like we were locals. The Chalet is very new with all of the modern conveniences and several really nice touches to make you feel at home. We would recommend it withou any reservation and are really looking forward to returning someday soon. Everything was just as advertised and better.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Wengen has something to offer visitors in all seasons and autumn is no exception. The wonderful scenery provides a spectacular backdrop to the many walks available both around the village and the mountain pastures above. We are delighted that the guests enjoyed their stay at Chalet Waldbort and felt at home, as we do.
