I had the pleasure of spending two weeks on retreat at this lovely property in late September/early October, a beautiful time to watch the colors emerge and partake of the region's celebrations of autumn. My hosts were welcoming, responsive, helpful and all-around great. The description is exactly what I found upon arriving and the apartment is cozy, very pleasant, and sweet. I was traveling alone, but I expect to return with my husband at some time in the future; the location is ideal as it is so close to the Red Hook town center and yet the feeling of country pervades. The two outdoor sitting areas are a plus, and with coffee cup in hand, you can listen to the birds and enjoy the crickets at night. I definitely recommend this as a gem to settle into for a weekend, and longer!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed at VRBO Listing #93566 in Red Hook July 16-18 and found that it was a delightful place to stay. We had looked for Bed and Breakfasts, but they were all booked and this was so much better. It is a peaceful retreat but is very close to the shops and restaurants in Red Hook. The owner was very helpful and the apartment was very clean with fresh flowers as a nice welcoming touch. There are lots of towns in close proximity to visit as well. We visited Rhinebeck and Hudson looking at antiques and enjoyed both. We were walking distance from the Mercato restaurant where we had a delicious dinner. We would definitely recommend staying here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
