Heather’s Hide-a-Way, located in beautiful Sunset Beach, is just one block from the Gulf of Mexico and has intercoastal access just a short walk from the cottage.
Our little beach cottage is very cute and cozy. The kitchen is new and the open floor plan is both bright and charming. The Florida room off the kitchen with its many windows makes a perfect setting for morning coffee, quiet reading time or watching TV or a room for sleeping with its comfortable futon.
The large yard, both fenced and private, has a gazebo equipped with a lighted ceiling fan. These amenities coupled with the Gulf breeze, makes outdoor dining and entertaining both a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Caddy's Restaurant, which is just a block away, offers great seafood and makes for a perfect setting to watch the sunset from either inside the restaurant or directly on the sandy beach - it is called Sunset Beach for a reason! Across from Caddy's is the Ka Tiki beach bar. Here you can sip refreshing drinks (my favorite is called the Rum Runner) and listen to live music from local Bay Area bands. The best part about both of these fun-filled places is that it is just a short walk back to the cottage!
John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, just 2 miles away, is a unique waterfront area. Here you will find a shoppers paradise for those must-have beach one-of-kind gifts to take home or to enjoy during your stay, along with many fine restaurants and live entertainment. Also available is parasailing, boat rentals and fishing charters - all at this one, convenient location!
