Bozeman house description
You'll love this colorful, artful home in a quiet family neighborhood. Large windows, high ceilings, and an open floor plan provide an airy, comfortable home for 6 adults or a family with kids. Original art and one-of-a-kind furnishings are throughout.
The property sports front and back covered porches, a large 2 car garage, gas fireplace, fully stocked laundry room and a large kitchen with all the gadgets as well as spices and other pantry and condiment items.
Each of the three bedrooms is decorated in it's own style: 'The Field Office' provides a queen bed, 'The Kid's Room' has a colorful twin day bed (no head and food boards in case your teenagers need to hang their feet off) with a trundle, and the 'San Francisco Master' is a huge suite with a king bed, sitting area, shower and 2-person spa tub. Free WiFi, cable, printer, TVs in the living room, kid's room, and master, as well as desks in each bedroom provide areas for work or alone time if necessary.
Large Open Colorful Living Area: The living room has plenty of seating, a gas fireplace, large hearth for warming up after skiing or snowmobiling, and is open to the dining area and kitchen so you all can enjoy each other's company no matter what you're doing. You'll love the innovative modern style with colorful original art and one-of-a-kind decorator pieces.
The kitchen is large and fully stocked with any gadget you may need as well as with spices, coffee beans, and other pantry items. Grocery stores and restaurants are close but at least you won't need to go running out the first thing in the morning for coffee. Good china, silverware, and table linens are provided, in addition to everyday dishes, for those special occasion dinners. Plenty of counter space and a bar ensures you'll have company (and help) while you cook.
The covered front porch provides a comfortable place for morning coffee or afternoon drinks. The back covered deck is great for charcoal grilling even while it's raining. The backyard is fully fenced so pets and kids can play safely.
Just Like Home: All those things you take for granted at home, you'll find here: a fully stocked 'junk drawer', over-the-counter medications, first-aid supplies, tool shop in case you need to make adjustments to your sporting equipment, a fully stocked laundry room, and collections of books throughout the house: fly fishing, Montana history and activities, art, novels, as well as illustrated books.
This house comes with all the incidentals: laundry supplies, tools, paper plates and plastic ware, foil, plastic wrap, zip-lock bags, paper towel, paper, pens, stationery, cooking oil, spices, baking supplies, old towels and rags, freshly laundered extra blankets, even backpacks and walking sticks.
All the quilts on the beds are covered with duvets that are freshly laundered between guests.
Large flat screen TV, wireless internet, printer.
Close to Everything: This home is a great place to bike to anywhere in town. Bike lanes and trails are only a couple blocks away and you can be in downtown Bozeman or shopping on 19th Street in only a few minutes. The large 2-car garage means you can dump your gear, park your car and have plenty of room to keep the bikes ready to go.

Rose Art House - Magnificent Start to Finish
Rose Art House - Magnificent Start to Finish
What a wonderful place to stay in Bozeman! The home was ready on time and was in perfect condition. It was more than we expected. Fully furnished, clean as a whistle, equipped with every amenity you can imagine. We made the most of the very well supplied kitchen. The beds were perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained and we got great sleep every night. The owner provided a notebook that covered every possible contingency with the home, and also provided a great little guide to dining and entertainment in Bozeman. Working with the owner was a piece of cake...everything was as promised and on time...no surprises. We'd give this six stars if we could! Thanks, Paula Pedersen, for your exceptional efforts and service. This was our first experience with Homeaway.com. After this, we will surely do it again..

We stayed at Rose Art House for ten days over the holidays while visiting our son and his family in Bozeman. Between my wife and I and other family members, we had four adults and three young ones staying at the house. There was plenty of room for all of us as well as occasional visiting guests. The entire experience with Rose Art house was terrific. Paula provided great communications on all necessary details and the house is supplied with everything one would need for an extended stay in Bozeman. It was clear that Paula has put a lot of thought into making one's stay at Rose Art very comfortable.

The Rose Art House
The Rose Art House
We have stayed at numerous VRBO rentals around the country, and truthfully our stay at The Rose Art House is the best rental so far. This definitely does not "feel" like a rental. it truly has the feeling of home! We are thoroughly enjoying the neighborhood and central downtown, hiking trails and our Bozeman family. The Art Rose House fits our needs. If you are into hiking, biking or just sightseeing or relaxing I'd highly recommend this vacation home. The owners, Paula and her husband are wonderful and accomindating . We even purchased a tree cutting permit and cut a Christmas tree for my son and his family in the Bridger Mt.

Owner response: We were so lucky to have the opportunity to meet Mason and Charlene on Thanksgiving Day. The pilot light went out on the gas fireplace and, believe me, it's not at all obvious how to relight it unless you've done it before. They were most gracious and patient while I was figuring out the pilot light sequence. It gave me a chance to get to know them a little better and even find out Charlene's favorite color so that I could make some custom earrings for her as a holiday gift. As with most of our guests, they have family in Bozeman so I hope we'll meet again!
Charming Home in Bozeman
Charming Home in Bozeman
We have stayed in many vacation rentals since retirement and this would definitely be at the top of the list. The owners were so accommodating right down to welcome gifts on your arrival. The home was laid out very well especially if you are having guests while you are there. The laundry area was great and the kitchen was so well stocked, better than any I have seen. The art work throughout the house was amazing and a lot of it done by the owner. I am a retired nurse and cleanliness is very important to me. This place surpassed my standards! There is a front porch as well as a backyard patio area. Great for morning coffee. Bozeman is a great place to stay, surrounded by mountains with lots to do and see. The Rose House would make it even more special!

Family united in Bozeman.
Family united in Bozeman.
What a pleasure to stay in this home while in Bozeman. I flew in from the Seattle area to visit with my siblings and parents. You can't beat the mountain views and country! We all took a drive to West Yellowstone, Hebgan Lake, and Quake Lake one day. Came back by way of Ennis to enjoy even more of the countries beauty. The other days we enjoyed walks downtown which has endless gift stores and wonderful restaurants. I have stayed in many bed & breakfasts and home rentals. The way Paula has decorated with her personal art touches makes for a memorable stay over any other. One night we made dinner and used the good china she has available for her guests to use. She overlooks nothing when it comes to entertaining! The comfort that is provided makes me want to return to this home the next time I am in Bozeman. Thank you, Paula!

Owner response: It's so nice to hear back from Barb and her family. They certainly didn't need any advice on what to do in the Bozeman area since the entire family has had strong ties to West Yellowstone and Hebgan Lake for several decades. I was pleased to hear that they spent an evening preparing a nice family dinner and sitting around the table. That's one of the great reasons to stay in a home rather than a hotel and I like to make sure that the kitchen is up to the challenge for any special family dishes.
Beyond our Wildest Dreams!
Beyond our Wildest Dreams!
My husband & I retired after long careers and are renting the Rose Art House for the summer. I frankly would like to keep it a secret~but in fairness to Paula will write a review. We have stayed in VRBO'S before but never have we been met with such an exceptional house & hostess. The proximity of the house is wonderful. My husband rides his bike daily on great bike paths to town or the trails in the neighborhood. I am an avid walker & with sidewalks connected to trails have discovered a mile walk to a Mall close by where I can get my exercise & a cup of coffee! There are many parks in the neighborhood where our grandchildren love to play. We recently had a fun day trip to Virginia & Nevada City where we were immediately thrust back into the Gold rush days of the 1800's. Yellowstone, Big Sky & the Grand Tetons are just a short distance away~ we are looking forward to seeing all three in the meantime we are enjoying great restaurants, fly fishing (a short drive away) & just sitting out on the back deck with a view of the mountains. We have been coming to Montana for several years since our kids & grandchildren live here so we are very familiar with this wonderful state and all it has to offer. What we didn't know is that we would meet Paula an exceptional hostess & property owner. We were greeted with fresh flowers, wine, a refrigerator full of some of our favorite foods . Paula has a vision & a skill in running properties. She discovers what you like & then does something about it. What property owner would ever think of leaving a welcoming gift of art supplies because she knew you loved to paint. The house itself has everything you would want & more from first aid kits, to rubber bands, to a sewing machine and stamped envelopes!! Every bedroom has a desk for your writing pleasure, the layout of the house is great for small gatherings. Our grandchildren love playing in the large connector hallway with their toys! The decor of the house is absolutely beautiful with 'ART' at every corner of the house. It has inspired me so that I have set up a 'studio' in the large garage and am enjoying expanding my passion to watercolor. Thanks to Paula~ staying in the Rose Art House has taken our retirement to a new level beyond our wildest dreams. We hope to return every year & keep the dream going!

Owner response: Ellie and Steve felt like family by the time we met them on the front lawn of The Rose Art House after their long journey. We had corresponded quite a bit since the time they booked the summer months way back in November and I knew how excited Ellie was about these post-retirement months with their kids and grandchildren. It was important to ensure that everything was just perfect for them so my husband and I took a "road trip" and spent the week sprucing up, restocking, and deep cleaning. Luckily, they arrived the day before expected and so we were able to say hi and wish them a wonderful summer stay. Ellie and Steve are a delightful couple .We're lucky to have them as our guests and hope to see them often in future years.
Comfortable, Beautiful, Accommodating
Comfortable, Beautiful, Accommodating
One of the best Christmases I ever had was spent at the "Rose Art House" in Bozeman MT. I slept in the Master Bedroom, and had the entire walk-in closet to myself. I enjoyed Long baths in the master bathrooms huge jacuzzi tub. Nothing warms a person up after skiing like a lazy, hot bath. Because the House is close to town, my family and I could order in when we where too tired to cook. Something our previous vacation at a mountain lodge didn't allow us to do. The owners of the house thought of everything we would need before we got there. There where beautiful plates and glasses, any cooking device needed was provided. The owner even remembered to provide laundry detergent and trash bags. We even hosted a dinner for our extended family at the house. Everyone loved it and commented on the beautiful art and interior design. They all had to do one walk through, to make sure they didn't miss any art that may be hiding on a bedroom wall. They huddled by the fire and the kids played hide and go seek. I think the atmosphere had a lot to do with my family's instant comfortability. That combined with food, wine, and the local Bozeman theatre ("The Ellen Theatre" was showing a live performance of "White Christmas") and a great time was had by all. My family and I enjoyed staying at the house for nearly a whole month, and when we left after the New Year we decided that the next time we stay in Bozeman we would definitely stay at the Rose Art House. Many thanks to Paula for helping to make my family's Holiday a special one. All My Best, Paige Rasmussen

Owner response: Paige was our first guest in The Rose Art House and I have to admit, I was a little nervous. We talked several times before her visit to ensure the house was going to meet her expectations and a couple times during her visit to make sure everything was going well. Since they were staying during the Christmas holidays, I let her know where the Christmas decorations were stored in case they wanted the fresh smell of a tree beside the fireplace. She was a wonderful guest and left the house in immaculate shape when she headed home. I was thrilled to receive her review since I know she has a very busy (but enviable) career and hope she'll keep in touch.

Why the Owner Chose Bozeman:
We knew that The Rose Art House was just right when we first stepped through the front door into the wide-open, light, living area. The large master bedroom, bath, and walk-in closet and overall layout of the house made this an ideal house for a vacation rental.
