Starboard Village - Beautiful, Private, Low-Rise - Gulf View!
- Minimum stay:3-7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No

Completely remodeled and tastefully decorated, Guppies Getaway is one of the largest (1600+ sq.ft.) 2 bedroom units on the beach. Located in Starboard Village, a low density complex next to a national preserve directly on the ocean (not across the street.) This unit is a corner unit, one building away from the ocean (ocean view). Views of the Gulf can be seen from almost every window and the 2 large decks.
This unit is located on the top two floors of a 4 story building. The 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and washer/dryer are upstairs, and the kitchen, living, dining and half-bath are downstairs. The master bedroom has a pillow-top king sized bed, full bathroom, walk-in closet, large balcony, and a queen sized fold-out sofabed. Second bedroom has a full sized bed, bunkbeds, and full bathroom. Large balconies off of living room and bedroom. All tile floors, enclosed garage, and swimming pool.
For the convenience of our guests, we provide beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, pool noodles and rafts, boogie boards, and several containers full of sandcastle-making toys, shovels, buckets and nets.

Overall we were happy with our stay. Some things to note. Read the description carefully. There is a view of the gulf. But it's not an un-obstructed view. 2/3 of the view is obstructed by a building. There is one more building between this suite and the gulf, it is not "directly on the ocean" as the listing reads. Directly on the ocean implies that there is nothing between you and the gulf and that isn't the case. The place is nice and has the space we needed. There is a nice garage to park in with room for your beach toys and bikes if you bring them. The location is great, just walking distance from Pegleg Pete's and the Tom Thumb convenience store. Not the most remote quiet area, but far from the business near the boardwalk. The weather was unusually cool this spring. The pool wasn't heated. It was too cold to use during our spring break visit. If the gulf will be cold during your visit, the pool won't be an alternative. The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking. Towels were available. The bathrooms were nice and the master bedroom was very large. The TV's were dated, no HD, but we weren't really there for TV. Overall this is a very nice place to stay and the owners were very nice and accommodating. I would stay again.Owner response: Mike, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with the view. We try to be very clear about the view in our description of the property. Our main header says "Ocean View", and our very first paragraph says that there is a building between us and the ocean (and our pricing reflects this.) One of the most common questions I receive from potential renters is "Do you have to walk across the street to get to the beach?" which is why we say that our condominium, Starboard Village, is directly on the beach. We strive to make all of our guests happy, and we do hope that you will return.

Very nice and relaxing condo on the Gulf. This condo is very spacious and nicely decorated with everything you need to enjoy your stay. I really liked the fact that it had a garage for parking the car. So easy to take a walk on the beach whenever you want. Margie was very nice and easy to work with. The condo was clean and anything I needed was addressed quickly. Thank you so much for making my stay possible and I would definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful?
