Peaceful and quiet. Great place to enjoy a vacation. This past year was our fifth year at the cottage and couldn't imagine a more perfect setting. The cottage is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lake is peaceful and kayaking added to our enjoyment. The location is close to North Conway and all attractions. We did a lot of hiking and never had to drive far to access a good trail. We enjoyed staying there at night with the fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals. The owner has always proved to be friendly and helpful. We plan to continue to vacation at the cottage every year and for us, it has always been ideal. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

We stayed at the cottage with our three (3) young children (2 boys ages 6 and 4 and 1 year old daughter). The lake access was easy and the water was warm and clean. The kayaks that are available are perfect for paddling around the small inlet! The cottage was perfect for our getaway; convenient location to Story Land, day trip to Santa's Village, Conway Train ride(s), etc., etc. The kids enjoyed the charcoal grill and roasting s'mores; we enjoyed the absolute quietness and privacy of the cottage... The only drawback for us was the view... we felt the cottage had a direct view of a (relatively busy and loud) small swimming beach. However, at about dinner time the beach becomes absolutely quiet! Wonderful cabin, great owners to arrange our visit with and wonderful "neighbors" down at the cottage when you do run into one; we would definitely recommend this to another family! Thanks for the stay and opening up your cabin to us.

Something for everyone! Nestled in the beautiful red pines is a quaint cabin, with a private sandy beach. My ideal place for quiet water kayaking, runabout bay is always calm. My husband preferred to paddle to the main part of Conway lake, which offers amazing mountain views. Our son's idea of enjoying the outdoors is sitting under the pine trees with his laptop, he was thrilled to have cable and internet. Our daughter loves swinging on the hammock listening to the loons. If that isn't enough to keep you occupied, try the old railway walk across the road, or our favorite hangout, a walking trail and boat launch on the Saco. There are countless hiking trails, last year we did Chocura, this year we opted for easy Black Cap.(2 bears spotted minutes before we got there!) Downtown Conway is 10 minutes away, with its shopping, resturaunts, and attractions. If you want the quaint cabin in the woods and adventure at your doorstep, this is the place to be. We look forward to returning next year for our third summer at this beautiful place.

I love your cottage. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was everything that you shared in the description and more. The photos didn't do the place justice in showing all the amenenties that you have, it is much more beautiful in person to see how much cottage you get for your dollar. I love the beautiful screened in area that over-looks the water, as well as in the living room the big slider that gives you a nice view of the water too. My family loved the big yard to play in, hammock to lay in, and wooden swing to sit in. It was so nice that you let us use your kayaks..thank you. The kitchen is nice sized and has all the equipment to make a great meal for the family. Conway lake is a hidden treasure with mostly trees on the out-skirt, and not many homes on the lake. My kids loved seeing the loons and enjoyed the beautiful calls that they sang. The owner was very pleasant and helpful letting us know where to go for hiking and places to visit. The place was very clean and cozy. I would highly recommend this adorable cottage to my friends, family, and everyone I know. My family enjoyed Storyland, which is about 25 minutes for the cottage, and also North Conway Center was great for shopping. Thank you for the wonderful family vacation at your cottage. We will be back again next year:)

Camp, not a cottage

Overall, our stay was good. The pictures and description are 100% accurate. There were a few things about the cottage that we did not enjoy-the family of large ants living in the kitchen(under the fridge and on the counter) were some unwelcome guests for the week, the cobwebs on all of the windows and some of the doorframes were less than welcoming, the mirror in the bathroom was so filthy that I had to wash it 3 times myself before I could see any sort of reflection and the muddy footprints on the kitchen floor upon our arrival were just splendid. Oh, and the free Wi-Fi was not so free-I had to go to town to purchase an Ethernet cable to make the internet run. But the icing on the cake was when I contacted the owner about these issues and he basically turned it around on me and tried to make me feel stupid. He claimed “the internet worked just fine last week” and that he had been there the week before and not seen any cobwebs whatsoever, so how on earth could there possibly be any? In summary, I would recommend this rental for somebody who is looking for a back woods camp feel and not a comfortable family cottage feel.
