Our two-story cottage is located centrally, a mile south of the one and only stoplight on the island. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and even a playground for the kids that has a walkout over the salt marsh where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets.
The cottage sits just one block back from a public beach access and we supply a buggy to carry all of your beach items around the corner. It has two upper decks and one lower deck that is covered.
The beach house is well appointed and decorated with comfort in mind. 4 BR/3 BA - sleeps ten, with a first floor sitting area and a second floor open LR, dining, and kitchen area. The kitchen is large and open with plenty of room for 2,3, or even 4 cooks. We feel there are never too many cooks in the kitchen but there are a couple of seats at the bar if you'd rather watch than cook. Ceiling fans are in each BR and all living spaces, and bamboo flooring flows throughout the home. There are 4 color/cable TV's and a video library.
There is an outdoor (hot/cold) shower, laundry and storage room, and picnic table in the drive under with plenty of off street parking. We have provided deck furniture, an outdoor grill, beach chairs, boogie boards, kites, and fishing gear. We strive to provide everything you need for your great island vacation. So come to the island and let us help you put your stress to rest!
Topsail island has a beautiful white sand beach and crystal blue/green water. It is not overcrowded even in peak season and has a friendly local population that helps make your stay a most enjoyable vacation. There is great local seafood and many things to explore if you can pull yourself away from the ocean!

My husband and I stayed at the beautiful beach home in October for 10 days. The home is so comfortable and extremely nice and clean. I would recommend anyone to stay at this lovel home. You will not be sorry. If we go back to the area, we will certainly plan on staying here again. The owners are so considerate of thier guest and want to make sure we are very happy. They go out of their way to ensure all is clean and well stocked before their guest arrives. Thanks Gale and Randy for making our stay so comfortable and welcome. We stayed in this house in August 2011 it was amazing plenty of space for all 11 of us to get away from each other when needed. House was very well equipped! We spent a lot of time on the 3rd floor balcony while the kids were able to watch tv in other rooms! Our family of 7 adults & 3 children had a spectacular time at Randy & Gail's property. Everything was perfect. There was plenty of space. The extra amenities were above and beyond what we have ever experienced with other properties....kites, boogie boards, fishing pools, kitchen supplies, etc. Very clean! Wonderful! And you're only 512 steps from the ocean; a very short and easy walk. And the area is absent of the predictable hustle and bustle you might find in a more touristy area! Fantastic! And the price is incredibly reasonable! My only hesitation in providing such a great review is I hope it's available next time we head south!!!

RENT THIS PLACE! We went down to Topsail (not pronounced Top-sail, but rather Tops-el) and stayed at this cottage the entire week before Memorial Day. This is a great time to go and be able to enjoy the water and somewhat more privacy on the beach. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the house and all of the furnished household and beach gear amenities the owners provided! Not due to the owner's fault, but we did experience an AC glitch that the owner quickly responded to and had repaired the next morning in a very responsive and reasonable time frame. The owners sincerely appear to be great folks that want nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay at their property! We invited another couple down for the last part of the week. They resided on the first floor and we stayed on the top floor which gave everyone some privacy. I could envision couples or a family totally enjoying their stay at this property! The house was nicely furnished and the kitchen was amply supplied with everything you need to prepare any meals. The beds were comfortable and mattresses were in great condition (...a negative for most other rental properties). Remember....you pay $ for ocean front properties, so the only draw-back I could possibly mention was the cottage is located on the main two-lane road which runs the length of the island....so it can get busy with traffic. Pedestrian / bike paths are available on both shoulders of the road for safer walking to the beach access, about two blocks walk from the cottage. However, we normally drove and parked on the street right at the beach access path. If walking to the beach, then small children would need close parental supervision for at least one block (on the main road) of this walk to the beach. But if a slight hike to the beach doesn't bother you, then this place is great! I would go back again.

This home is really the best I've every rented...it was home. Clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. Kitchen was wonderful! There were beach chairs, boogey boards, beach toys, kites and so much more already there for our use...we watched the moon come up from the front porch (full moon) was beautiful!! We had a total of three adults and 6 children and had room for everyone. We had a great meal at Mollies Rest. and the children loved playing on the playground out by the waterway...make this home your choice and you'll have a great time....Kathy

Our family enjoyed our stay here tremendously! This is our third year at Top Sail and this was by far the most equipped, supplied, and conveniently located house yet. This past July was our third visit to Topsail and this property, by far, was our favorite rental. The house is in excellent condition and kept very clean. The owners provide many items i.e. paper products, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys, fishing poles, linens, towels, etc. (all those items that take up precious little space in your trunk) that make packing for the trip much, much easier.

Our stay in this home was the best vacation ever. The home was great with lots of extra ammenities. We enjoyed the use of the fishing poles and boogie boards provided by the owner. It really helped with the cost of our vacation. We loved the area; it was a small beach town but there was enough to do to keep all of us entertained. The house was well decorated and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. Can't wait to return next year!
