Wild peacocks have a very special history in Hawaii. They were brought here by the beautiful young Princess Kaiulani, who loved them more than any other bird. She named her favorite flower, the jasmine, after the birds - Pikake, in Hawaiian. When Princess Kaiulani died tragically at the age of 23, all the peacocks on the island screamed in mourning. Now the wild peacocks have settled in the lush Makaha Valley and roam freely on the grounds of Makaha Valley Towers.
The grounds of the complex are extremely well kept and patrolled by very effective security, so you can rest assured that you and your belongings are safe here.
Our condominium is one of only two penthouse units on the top (18th) floor, so it is very private. With the laundry room and elevator just outside the door, everything is within easy reach. Our condominium is elegantly and tastefully furnished, most of the furnishings are brand new. The kitchen has been partially remodeled, with new appliances.
The bathroom has been totally remodelled with a very elegant shower and a Toto toilet too! All the rage in Japan, now Americans are finding out why no self-respecting Japanese would be without a Toto toilet! Our room offers a TV, DVD player, stereo - even a computer with high-speed Internet service. All kitchen necessities, linens, toiletries provided, just bring yourself and someone you love!
Our condominium offers a panoramic ocean view, even while laying in bed. We provide you with - YES! - a telescope! During the winter months you might see the humpback whales that come here to calf.
