I enjoyed my stay in New York, the location gave me access to all areas of the city. The trains and buses are a close walk away from the apartment. The apartment was clean and had more then enough room for someone like myself traveling alone . I would definitely stay at his location when I return to NY.
Owner response:Thank you.

Thank you Terence for renting me and my family a great space. Travel was very easy to and from the apartment to the train station. I felt very secure on the block which was very quiet and scenic. I will also recommend this location to my friends.

spent 5 nights here in oct. The appartment is in Harlem and not in Upper West Side. It is located in the basement and was not cleaned when we arrived. We felt safe but took taxi everywhere because the rough quarters around. Fair for the money spent but the pictures and discription fools you a bit...
Owner response:Am sorry to hear now that you stay was not as you expected. The apartment is clean after every guest leaves. The apartment that you and every guest stay in is on the ground level not the basement where I have the washer and dyer. The pictures of the apartment remain the same and the area is still on a quite tree line block in Harlem. Thank You.

My 9 yr old son and I (51yo female) just stayed 3 days, 3/16 to 3/18/11. I parked my car right outside on the street and took the B or C train at St. Nicholas Ave/135th St station, was closest (walk right, west. BTW there's a food store for groceries in the same direction at the corner.) Those trains take you down to the heart of Manhattan, Times Square, Broadway etc. The apartment was clean and nice, down a few steps, in the basement. Looks much like the pics, shiny floors, nice furniture, minus the plants and some wall pics, etc.. VERY secure and a nice neighborhood where people sometimes said, "Hi!" as they passed...a rare thing in NYC!! LOL Terence was great too; was always reachable by cell and easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend this place for your stay. Enjoy!

The apartment had all one needed for a comfortable stay in NYC: all the basic amenities, very clean and it's located in the city. A short cab ride down 8th street brings you at Central Park, then Times Square all the way to Soho. The owner is very courteous and professional and is readily available. Highly recommended!

We are very pleased with our location. the apartment is spacious and well equipped. it is clean and has air conditioning. Ideally located in the legendary Harlem close to transport. The owner is very warm, charming and available. We will come back for sure!
Owner response:thank you.

Look no further than this location for affordable and spacious accommodations. Use this clean and neat space for your base from Harlem to see NYC by bus line or subways. (Both from one to three blocks away in either direction.) And DON'T FORGET THE APOLLO on Wednesday night.....the best audience participation of any amateur night in the country! Owner Terence is gracious, lives in the building and is always close by.
Owner response:THANK YOU.

This residence was very well established and just overall spectacular. This was more than I imagined for such a rate. The neighborhood was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. There were endless activities to endure and areas to sightsee. I give this establishment five stars and will always comeback.

This worked out really well for our recent visit To NYC with our teenage nieces. The apartment is very clean, but was a little darker than I like. We needed a place that had two bathrooms and we were on a budget, so it met our needs. Subway stops are only a few blocks away so getting into the city was no problem. It was a very good value for the money.

My husband and I spent ten nights over Thanksgiving in this apartment with my sister and her boyfriend. It was warm, comfortable and spacious - which wasn't what we had been led to expect of New York apartments! A two minute walk to 135th Street Subway Station (the B and C lines) means that the whole of Manhattan is easily accessible. We didn't spend much time in the neighbourhood but the people we met were very friendly and we felt safe both during the day and at night. The highlight of the apartment however had to be the owner, Terence. He could not have been more helpful or more welcoming and we felt that we could call on him for anything. We would definitely return to this apartment and recommend it to friends.
