We rented this fabulous home for three days and our only regret was not staying for at least three more. This home has being declared as of our departure date the official home for our yearly get together. if you are in Gainesville Georgia, you must book and stay here.

We LOVED our stay! Our family truly enjoyed themselves, so much so that we plan on bringing a different group of family members up next year. Michelle (the property manager) was an excellent host, making sure that I was able to view the house ahead of time, find everything I needed upon arrival and that I didn't forget anything when leaving.

This lake house is absolutely AMAZING! Trust me when I say that the pictures do not do the home justice. We had 11 people staying in the house and there is so much room. The house is very open and is multi-leveled. It seems like you find another room or gathering area everytime you turn a corner or go up a few steps. The room and deck overlooking the lake are great, and the billiard room with flat screen provide a perfect place to hang out with friends, family, and children. An added bonus is the owner of this lake house is great to work with. He did a great job of communicating the contract and specifics of the lake house and responded to questions through email almost immediately. I would recommend this paradise on the water for family reunions, vacations, or just a weekend getaway. My family will definitely try to return to this home in the future.

My guests and I really enjoyed our time at the lake house. The property is beautiful and is decorated nicely throughout. We watched the sunset over the water from the back dock and it was amazing...so peaceful! We rented a boat at a nearby Marina and it was the only time we left the property. We used the grill, the jacuzzi and even jumped off the back dock (after ensuring the water levels were safe). Everyone that stayed had an amazing time. Enjoy it!

Our two families had a wonderful time enjoying the lake and fall scenery. The house is very comfortable, has plenty of gathering space and yet private areas for everyone to have their own space to relax. The wildlife around the house was amazing. We saw many deer around the neighborhood. The location is tucked away but yet close to shopping. We plan to return in the summer to really enjoy all the lake activities!

Great family getaway

Our extended family - ranging from grandparents down to little ones - spent a week at this home and loved it. It's isolated enough to give you plenty of space and quiet, but still close enough to town for those inevitable grocery store runs for forgotten items. The dock was a highlight - we all enjoyed time on the lake, including renting a pontoon boat from a nearby marina. The house was lovely and well-maintained, with ample amenities. The multi-level layout gave us plenty of opportunities for multiple activities at once, or for someone to find space alone. The game room was a kid favorite! The housekeeper responded to our one small need by making a special run to the house to replenish some supplies. We were close enough to Atlanta to make two day trips - to the Georgia Aquarium and to Stone Mountain, both great destinations within about an hour's drive. We've rented large homes like this in several markets, but this was a favorite.

We had a mixture of children ages 3 1/2 - 11 & 6 adults. This house was wonderful for us! While some could be loud in the bonus room, others could be watching T.V. in the den & others could be napping in the basement (however, the napping never happened!). Clean & nicely furnished with everything we needed. We did "put away" some of the decorative items before children arrived just for precaution. Great back deck overlooking the lake & provided wonderful space for inviting even more over for evening dinners & fun. Boat dock was fun, too! We were in town for a family wedding & well familiar with the area, so area attractions weren't needed...but, many exist. Both kids & adults enjoyed our time at the "lake house"! Lots of stairs & steps both inside & out. By the end of our stay, my knees were ready for our single story home. Owner & housekeeper were very accommodating for our needs (Thanks Woody & Michelle!). We would definitely rent this house again for our family & recommend to friends!

A Spectacular Lakeside vacation

I was raised in the finger lakes region of New York State, lived in Buffalo on Lake Erie and in Tennessee, where TVA lakes abound, yet Lake Lanier was the most beautiful and user friendly lake I have ever experienced. This house is a very special place. On our vacation this past August there were 11 of us from 2 families. 4 adults, 3 teenagers and 4 younger kids. There was plenty of space for everyone. Sleeping arrangements were private, spacious and comfortable. I didnt think we would use the whole house, but we spread out and no one got in each others way at all. There was plenty to do for everyone. The kids played pool and the adults used the jacuzzi. Everyone loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the fire pit. There was a boat rental place not far away and we rented a pontoon boat that was capable of pulling innertubes on the back and the dock available on the property had no difficulty accomodating the rental boat. Of everything, the attraction that everyone enjoyed the most was the two story boat dock with the huge upper deck. Even us old folks enjoyed jumping into the deep water for refreshment. The water was high, clear and just the right temperature. If you are looking for a vacation that is not run of the mill and that is elegant and casual all at the same time, then give this property a try. The neighbors were friendly and helpful and I would rate this vacation an A+.

We just spent the weekend (Aug 1 & 2) at this house for my 40th birthday and had a fabulous time! The house was very nice and had everything we needed. It's a very unique layout with plenty of room and lots of modern amenities. Relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day was great! The dock is huge, the pictures don't do it justice. It's set on a nice private cove that's great for skiing or wave runners. The neighbors are awesome and their dog "Bear" was the hit of the weekend. Although he's a little shy, he will come up to you on his own and will gladly do his tricks for whatever nibble you'll give him. Woody, the owner, was very responsive and accomodating. If you're looking for a nice roomy house with lots of amenities at a reasonable price, this is the place! Don't pass it by!

We just returned home from a nine-day stay at this Lake Lanier home. It is a very nice house in a spectacular setting. There were only two other homes in this area on the lake side, but we never saw one of the neighbors, and the other neighbor is extremely friendly. If you like your privacy, this is the place to go. We really enjoyed the dock, too. And, getting into the hot tub was always a terrific end to a wonderful day. I would highly recommend this property if you plan to stay at Lake Lanier.

Perfect vacation home for a family getaway. The home was comfortable, had plenty of room and amenities. The double decker dock was great for lounging and sunbathing. Because it's on deep water, we were all able to enjoy swimming. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. Would definitely recommend to friends!

I am highly recommending this property to all my friends. The home is beautifully decorated and the property is absolutely georgous! You have a wonderful view of Lake Lanier from every level of the home and have only a short walk to the private dock. The home is clean and the entire property is very well maintained. The hot tub is also great place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. The owner has taken every measure to make sure you feel right at home. I plan on staying again real soon!

Great Corporate Retreat

We held our company board meeting there. We were immediately impressed with the decoration, the house was beautifully decorated. There were a lot of sitting areas and places for six people to find their own space or be together. The hot tub room was incredible - and the game room with pool table made it a lot of fun. All the electronics in the home were way above expectation, great tvs, stereos. Best of all was the decking. There are several decks which made it wonderful to sit outside, and the place was quiet, peaceful, and a great place to meet or get away. Our only concern was lack of internet, which the owner said he is adding. Great corporate meeting place, a romantic peaceful getaway, or for a family looking for a lot of space and a good time. We did not use the lake, dock, or those features of the place, but they looked beautiful, and while the water was down in the lake, it was still very lovely. We are planning on returning next year.

Nice group weekend getaway

I rented this house for a ladies church group. I found the accommodations to be very nice and the house was very spacious. The decor is gorgeous and all of the ladies loved it. The only downside is that there is no big open space if you're looking to have group meetings. If not, then this would be nice for your group. Especially nice for families because of the layout. You could easily house 2 families plus kids in here comfortably. Decks are nice and so is the view of the lake. I wish the owner was a bit friendlier (as I also rent from another owner on the lake and he is phenomenally accommodating), but overall the place was extremely reasonable & worth more than the price!!

Bring a camera documentary camera / crew

This is a gorgeous house which sleeps multiple people and is (mostly) easy to find. The dock is well taken care of and the lake/water level was great. The description is a good one....perhaps the place is nicer than described. This house is clean and well maintained but I would not recommend this property to a friend...I would never deal directly with an owner again..only real estate companies as I have in the past. I would suggest a complete walkthrough with the owner before renting this place..in that I was assessed for damages that were pre-existing and had a terrible experience after leaving the home...spic and span. There were no directions to the dump (where the garbage for the weekend was to be taken) so I drove back to Atlanta with large two bags of trash...and was assessed a costly penalty for a bag left in the outside commercial size can (inadvertently left). I also received an e-mail indicating that the linens were not stripped and brought to the laundry room..and accused of breaking a karaoke microphone no one went near ... receiving pictures via e-mail of said broken mic. All patrons were over 40 yrs old..professionals.. celebrating a birthday...so no teenagers or college kids here. I was also assessed for the lock on a bathroom door that didn't work when we arrived. Hot tub is very nice but difficult to get to hot..directions are sketchy...we did get it going and enjoyed it. Also...if you are afraid of large dogs..the neighbors have a probably 100+lb mastiff that roamed the yard and deck all weekend unrestrained. I am a long time renter of vacation property and have never had such a bad experience. It is too bad because the property is lovely.

Owner response:I have had dozens of renters at my lake house over the years. I have never had any renter state even one negative comment prior to this renter. My house keeper photographed the damage caused by this renter after their departure. Frankly, the damage they caused was far greater then they were charged. When the renter called me to discuss this, I explained that I am simply covering the cost of repairs she caused me (in fact I didnt even charge her for the Karaoke machine, even though it was working prior to this renter's arrival). As for the hot tub, once again, it is simply to use and I have never had any other renter have any problem using it. We even email our renters the instructions to it prior to their arrival and we are always available throughout someone's stay via cell phone to answer any questions they may have on using it or for any other purpose. We also post the instructions to the hot tub right in the hot tub room. As for the neighbor's dog that lives next door, my renters usually praise him the most. His name is "Bear" and he is a completely docile dog, and afraid of his own shadow. He is usually a favorite of the renters. I’m sorry this renter had a bad experience but our house is 5 star and she is the first one of numerous renters to ever cause damage. As for the dump, it is a mere 3 or so miles away and we do provide directions, in the house, on how to get to it. It’s a simple drive. We also provide two very large canisters that we keep right outside on the driveway, and only ask the renters to empty them at the dump if they get full during their stay. Otherwise we dispose of their garbage at check out. As for the linens, we simply ask that they are stripped and put in the laundry room on departure. However, no charge was ever assesed for this renter not doing that. I’m happy to answer any questions anyone may have or refer them to our house keeper who discovered the damage and reported it to me immediately after this renter checked out. Nothing is more important to my wife and me then to have renters leaving our home completely satasified. That has always been the case except for this one renter.

Relax in Style

This property is impressive inside and out! From the moment you walked in you knew you've made the right choice. The amenities were luxurious and plentiful. The house was well designed and there was something for everyone. I’d start the day early on the main deck, sipping tea and admiring the lake view while my family slept in. Bear, the friendly, but shy mastiff from next door would sometimes keep me company. His owner next door was equally friendly and a great source of information. I love to cook and preparing meals was easy since the kitchen was well equipped. The party dock was great. We swam and canoed. We dove from the top deck, sunbathed, and relaxed. We rented a boat from the marina and explored the lake. Some nights we had drinks and conversation on the top deck. It’s well lit. Other nights we’d turn on the hot tub and play in the game room while it heated up. I want an indoor hot tub room of my own now. I’d end the day in the chase lounge watching television before bed. I truly wished I could have stayed longer than a week and I would definitely go back again.

GREAT ESCAPE FROM THE CITY

My group of 11 friends/co-workers(24-32y.o.) stayed at this home in June 2008. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! The pictures speak for themselves... what you see is what you get and more. This house is huge and there is enough space for everyone. Its perfect for families/ large groups. My favorite part of the home was the indoor hot tub, BBQ on large deck, party water deck,porch swing, pool table, nice quiet neighboorhood, canoe... well needless to say, we all had a wonderful time. The property is very clean & maintained. We cooked every day & grilled on the BBQ grill, canoed, jumped from the deck into 17ft of water, swam in the lake. Can't tell you too much about the area attractions b/c we only left to get more food/beverages which is only a 10 minute drive. The awesome thing about the kitchen is a large open space to keep all the food & coolers, etc. The neighbors are friendly and their dog Bear is a sweetheart. We all went swimming in the lake. Bear is a rather large dog; however, very sweet. Woody provided excellent customer service. The DVD sound didnt work and the housekeeper came out to try & fix it. It took us about 30 min to get the hot tub warm.....just read the directions carefully. I will definitely recommend this home to anyone and I'd go back to stay probably longer next time around. Woody is very professional and stays in contact with you, if needed. HAVE A GREAT ESCAPE!!! We did:)

college girl reunion

My college friends and I get together once or twice a year, having met some 30 odd years ago at UGA. We found the house to be extremely clean, neat, and large enough for all of us to have our own amount of privacy. Not easy when there's 7 women roaming around! The attention to decorations and detail made this home an outstanding getaway. We truly loved the lake views and the decks. The extras - such as large bars of soap, modern appliances, etc. - made this home a special place. We found the neighbors (and the dogs) to be quite friendly. And the location was just what we were looking for. I would certainly recommend this beautiful home to other travelers and would not hesitate to return.
