Nestled in the wooded Montclair Hills, an upscale safe, residential neighborhood that is adjacent to Berkeley and Piedmont, this residence borders Redwood Regional Park's 1836 acres. It is fully furnished and equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. It has all the amenities: modern kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, vegetable and fruit juicer, waffle machine, disposal, washer and dryer, cable TV, wireless high speed internet(DSL), off street parking. No smoking is allowed inside the unit.


The master bedroom(11 x 13)has a queen-size natural wood bed with an Appalachian patchwork quilt. The hardwood floors, large window and sliding mirrored closet doors create a warmth, brightness and spaciousness. A TV, VCR and computer desk with wireless DSL are available for your use. The bedroom opens into a bright full bathroom.
The second bedroom (10 x 12) has the same warmth, brightness and spaciousness as the master bedroom. The full-size pine bed has an original hand-made Appalachian quilt. The second full bath is only two steps from the bedroom door.
The third bedroom, slightly smaller than the second, has a new bed and mattress and views of the Bay.

The newly carpeted dining room (13 x 17.5) with paneled walls has a teak dining room table that can seat up to 8 persons. A large 8 foot window illuminates this room. The living room (13 x 20) has a new carpet, sofa bed and love seat fireplace, wood stove, TV and bookcases. Windows on two adjacent walls join to allow abundant natural light.

The walkway to the front door is bordered by a blue slate patio (8 x 20) with a lemon tree, on one side and on the other side, a small garden area containing mint, lavender, jasmine, roses, calendula and a compact vegetable garden

The quiet residential neighborhood is 5 minutes from Montclair Village with its supermarkets, gourmet stores, cafes, banks, restaurants, drugstores etc. It is close to San Francisco and Marin. There is easy access to Highways 24, 80, 580, 680 and 880 for excursions into San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Napa and Sonoma and other points of interest. There is also easy access to nearby BART(Bay Area Rapid Transit) stations for public transportation.

There are six regional parks nearby offering possibilities for biking, picnicking, swimming, horseback riding and boating: Redwood, Huckleberry, Sibley, Tilden, Roberts, and Chabot.
Mt. Diablo State Park is in nearby Walnut Creek. Some of the most spectacular panoramic views of Oakland, Berkeley, the East bay hills and San Francisco are seen from Skyline Boulevard where this charming rental is located. It is less than 1 mile from the Chabot Space and Science Center with its planetarium, state of the art science center, exhibits, movies and telescopes for star and planet gazing. We are canine friendly.
