The village of Atina lived up to our expectations, a beautiful mountain village, even in winter. The owners Roger and Angela went out of their way to make us comfortable, from supplies in the fridge and cupboard, flowers on arrival and sorting out any little issues. We much appreciated their efforts booking the restaurant Massimos for New Years Eve, one of the highlights of our holiday. We started eating at 7.30 and finished with fireworks at midnight. Apartment was very clean and tidy and well located. Our hire car was essential so we could explore the surrounding country side. Note some of the small roads need a steady nerve. We would definitely recommend this apartment, in fact, have already done so to our family in England.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The four of us had a great 3 days in Atina. Our main reason for coming was to check out the Abbey at Monte Cassino and the Commonwealth War Graves in Cassino. Atina was just a 20-30 minute drive away. What a great location. Pretty village with astounding views. The apartment was everything that was advertised. Well appointed and clean and comfortable. Everything worked. I would recommend the apartment for anyone looking to stay here. We would all stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have just spent a fantastic week in this apartment. Tony's parents gave us a wonderful welcome & the apartment had everything you need. There was ample towels, bedding etc on hand. It was very spacious & in a lovely location. The only down side is that a week wasn't long enough to explore the area completely. We hope to return at a later date to finish the trip. The locals were very helpful & recommended places to visit. I would recommend learning a few Italian phrases though.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A well maintained and clean apartment, Roger & Angela most helpful and generous...providing my father and I with fresh bread, ham and Cheese on arrival. Atina the old town is lovely, we visited to find my fathers grandfathers family, we had endless help from the local museum and vice-mayor, very friendly throughout the village from all locals. There are two main restaurants and we highly recommend ristorante Massimo where he specializes in veal/pork meatballs. To sum up overall Atina has wonderful views of the Mountain range and lower valley, a car is needed to visit other villages but Atina itself has enough for a couple of days to get an amazing feel for one of the "real" Italians first towns. Thanks again too the Burton's! JP & Charles Palombo FlemingDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Warm & friendly welcome from Angela & Roger (Tony's parents). Very nice & spacious apartment and extremely well located in the historical centre of Atina. It’s also a very nice place to walk around, to discover the Abruzzo national park and the sea side (Gaeta & Sperlonga..) Rome & Naples are also at a reasonable distance We really enjoyed our stay in Tony’s apartment. Thanks againRecommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family of four spent three nights here over the Easter weekend. It was a great stay, especially at this time of year. Lots of events in the evening to celebrate Easter. Very friendly little town that is welcoming to visitors. Apartment owners are SUPER friendly! Greeted us, place was impeccably clean and nicely renovated, great views from the bedrooms and kitchen of the valley and snow-capped mountains. I'd go back and highly recommend it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We could not have asked for a nice place....very spacious, clean and everything one needs for a comfortable vacation. It was wonderful to stay in "Centro Storico"....such charm. The folks renting were most accomodating and over and above friendly. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this for a quite mountain village vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed in this wonderful apartment with three children under the age of 6 and it was just perfect for our needs. The apartment was spotlessly clean and lots of clean towels and bed linen on hand. Roger and Angela were super hosts and the apartment was kitted out really well on our arrival. Atina is a beautiful small village with easy access to surrounding areas and only a short drive from Cassino or the Gulf of Gaeta coastline. We also drove the Amalfi coast during our stay and it was easy to do in a day trip from Atina (but I wouldn't recommend this in August!) The apartment provided great cool shade from the midday sun and was really comfortable. Car hire is essential in this part of Italy, the Italian drivers have provided many stories to tell when we got home!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

All as described, clean, well-maintained. We arrived very late and were met by locally based representatives who made us feel very welcome. The wine and provisions were particularly appreciated at midnight after a long day travelling ! The representatives spoke English and called during our stay to confirm that everything was OK. This apartment is situated in the centre of Atina and served our needs admirably. We are a couple aged 58.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
