“Ohana” is Hawaiian for family and that is who you are when you stay with us. Our retreats is nestled on Anna Maria Island, Florida. Ohana Hale North is a short 5 minute walk and Ohana South is 1 block to the white sand beaches and turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
We have 4 suites to enjoy your vacation. 3 are 2 bedroom 1 bath suites and one is a one bedroom 1 bath suite. Ohana Hale North is on Holmes Beach and Ohana Hale South is on Bradenton Beach, all on Anna Maria Island.
Anna Maria Island was just ranked fourth in the Top 3 Islands in the U.S. by the first annual TripAdvisor’s Travelers' Choice Islands Awards.
Your vacation “Hale” (home) has been newly refurbished featuring a luxury kitchen with granite countertops and new decking all around.
Anna Maria Island is a bit of old Florida. It doesn’t offer mega resorts or towering condos with crowded beaches, it does offer quiet white sandy beaches and a great family atmosphere. Come see why so many others are finding out that you don’t have to compromise on a great beach vacation.

We were most pleased by the cleanliness and amenities that this duplex provided. Everything is exactly as shown in the pictures. The owners are extremely friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate us, as well as being easy to contact. We were four adults in one space with one bathroom but the outside spaces available and the number of things to do on the island meant we did not sit around very much. The location is excellent with a five minute walk to the beach, a north bound trolley stop across the street and a south bound stop only five minutes. We did not find a restaurant we did not like and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. It is a wonderful place for a family vacation. Charlie B from TennesseeDid you find this review helpful? We stayed in the two bedroom and found the accommodations to be very impressive. Everything was beautiful, pristine, and new. We loved the design and the decor. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach. The sunsets were amazing and it was so peaceful. It is true, as the owner indicated, that they treat you like you are family. We were upgraded to the two bedroom, and were really impressed with the accomomdations. The owners were exceptionally nice and we enjoyed meeting them. The cabin was well stocked and it exceeded our expectations!! We had everything we needed to cook, clean, and more!! The owners were easy to contact and VERY nice! Ohana was a lovely duplex! The hosts were very accomodating and helpful. The island is quiet & relaxing and the retreat served as a great base for a few laid-back days in the sun. The furnishing were nice, everything was very clean and comfortable. The space isn't large, but we don't sit still for long. It was great for us & our 2 boys. I scheduled the trip as a surprise birthday present for my husband. The hosts left us a bottle of wine to celebrate. They thought of everything & were only a phone call away when I needed them. We would definitely stay here again. We are regulars to the area and love visiting the Mote Aquarium and Myakka State Park. About the owner: We have have been married for 29 years and have recently discovered the 'Art of Hospitality'. 'We never thought we would be in the hospitality industry, but absolutly love it. We enjoy meeting our new friends and doing what is necessary to make their stay a memorable one.
Why the Owner Chose Holmes Beach:
When we first saw Anna Maria Island, we were surprised at how little it was built up and how the waters were so clear. It truly is 'Old Florida'. It rivals many Carribean destinations and is in our backyard. No passports required!
The Unique Benefits at this Motel:
The homes interior have been designed by us and all the renovation work was done by Dan, Dan truly loves invisioning how the house should look and have it come together. Because we live nearby and are hands on, any issues or request are handled immediately. The suites were designed with what we felt would bring the most enjoyment for our guest.
