This recently refurbished, ONE-ROOM cottage plus full bath. Sleeps 2 in king-sized bed or two twins (your choice).
Unusually well-appointed kitchen, full fridge, electric range with four burners. Bath with shower plus separate outdoor shower. Stack washer/dryer.
Ample deck for relaxing, cookouts on the gas grill, watching sunrise across the beautiful harbor panorama. From other side of cottage, view sunset over a pond on the third fairway of the adjoining public Chequessett Yacht and Country Club (the cottage is a strong five-iron from the clubhouse). Country Club also features public tennis courts.
Private bay beach (sit and sun any time; swim during the three hours surrounding high tide). Space to store your kayaks near the beach.
Cable, DVD, VCR, CD player. Internet WiFi. Bright and airy, with excellent cross-ventilation and air conditioning. Tastefully furnished.
One of the most picturesque and quiet neighborhoods in Wellfleet. Beautiful gardens. Double hammock.
On-site parking. Five-minute drive to Wellfleet Center. Convenient to Cape Cod National Seashore's ocean beaches, numerous fresh-water ponds, walking trails, lengthy bike trail.
Weekly rentals from Sunday to Sunday (less traffic for you). No pets. Owners live in a separate house on the property.

Photos are fine, the furnishings are dated- rolled up the gross rug, especially the bedding wouldn't use the blanket!- the kitchen was clean but the kitchenware was old and dated - the outdoor shower around the 'cottage' was great (what outdoor shower isn't?) and the inside single shower stall was pretty sad looking...oh, and look carefully at the pic showing how close - not how far, but how close the owners are! I could hear the owner 'using the bathroom' UGH! The windows face right into their house...are you kidding me?! We kept the blinds down b/c we felt there was no privacy!! They pick their blueberries right in front of you -hence, no privacy! the view was pretty...the walk to the beach was in front to the side of the owners house and across the road and down down wooden steps and it is the bay so the tide comes in and out and there is no sandy beach part to lounge on...the owners description is not accurate...I felt like I was living above a garage. next to my parents house..oh, wait...it is above a garage...they use it for storage...old, used beach items (glad we had our own) couldn't wait to leave the place - very misleading...not private...felt very uncomfortable...just be cautioned - wish we were before we took the place...would never recommend or go back...even though it wasn't outrageously expensive it is definitely not worth the money that's for sure...oh and there was always some noise coming from the golf course...it was a big disappointment!

Tucked away on a bluff overlooking the water from a lovely private deck, the Eagle's Nest was just what we were seeking. The cottage is very nicely decorated, spotless, and full of New England coastal charm. What a wonderful location! Private and secluded with an outstanding view. At the same time, centrally located to quaint, rustic Wellfleet town center and beautiful Wellfleet and Truro beaches. Don't miss the lovely walk to Great Island at low tide... located just down the street. Loved our stay. We'll be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay the summer of 2009. Close proximity to the owner's home who are lovely people and have worked to maximize the privacy of their guests. We enjoyed our own nest with gorgeous views of golf course and water. Private beach near town. Nice location for biking and walking. The site captures wonderful breezes. Windows on every wall. Bath, kitchen and bedroom with couch, armchair and dining nook. All well supplied. Enjoy deck and lovely garden.
Recommended for:Age 55+, romantic getaway.
