Pictures tell it all! The main room faces Magens bay. The house is located in a gated community. It's very quiet, very private. All the rooms are large. The living room is 800 square feet. It is open, airy and not cluttered with a lot of furniture. It is 46 feet wide, has an 11 foot ceiling and 9 foot windows. You don't have to sit outside to enjoy the view including the sun setting which occurs right in front of the house over the bay . The kitchen is huge and has everything you could possibly need. We spend most of our time cooking on the barbeque. The veranda is 8 feet by 30 feet with a table that seats 4 and all the chairs face the view of the bay. The shower is very big. The top is only covered by mosquito screens so you can take a shower & see the stars at the same time. The property is not perfectly manicured so it doesn't look like a hotel. It's a little overgrown so you really feel like your in the tropics. It feels like home.
There is a second bedroom with 2 twin beds that can be joined to make one queen size bed (not pictured).
We have a resident chicken, 3 iguanas, parakeets, humming birds and an infinite number of birds. Simply put, 'This place is nice!'

THIS HOUSE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO RELAX FOR A WEEK WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND MY TWO CHILDREN. THE VIEWS OF MAGEN'S BAY WERE PERFECT AND SO PEACEFUL! ALL THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY BATTMAN WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY USEFUL. I CAN TELL A LOT OF TLC GOES INTO THIS HOUSE. WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER PLACE TO SPEND OUR WEEK AND WILL MOST DEFINATELY CONTINUE TO STAY HERE AS LONG AS WE ARE VISITING ST. THOMAS. I HIGHLY SUGGEST VISITING THE PRIVATE BEACH AND ALSO UDDER DELIGHT AS THESE TWO ATTRACTIONS ADD SO MUCH TO THE EXPERIENCE OF STAYING IN THIS HOUSE! First I would like to say, I do not want to give a good review as this wonderful home will never be available for return visits. And we want to return. Everything written about this home is true. This was the best vacation my wife and I have ever experienced and it was rooted by this home with a beautiful evening views and just the right amount of traffic in the mornings from the parakeets and raptures and other wildlife. From the balcony we experienced many wonderful sunsets, and local coffee in the morning on the balcony. A large pod of dolphins paid us a morning visit directly below our Deck, they were so cute paired up hanging out for over an hour as 4 would take turns slowly swim out and around gathering up bait fish for the waiting group’s breakfast. One of the largest Yachts on the planet with Sir Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen pulled in and dropped anchor and pulled up in directly below our Balcony. Sir Paul and the dolphins know where to hang and this was the place. We kayaked in the bay making our way to this same spot a couple days before not knowing we were visiting a spot kept by such good company. Alan called and emailed during our visit making sure all was well like we were part of his family. We kept his music mix playing the entire time we were in the home, he has a nice Bose player available, so you can bring your own music but I never unplugged his. I put his blender to good use making us some wonderful frozen Goya Rum punch drinks. Breakfast was raised a notch with the good quality pans and nice stovetop. There was a new Weber Grill as well for a couple wonderful grilled dinners. We had a full moon shower, and you will have to stay there during a full moon to know what I mean by that. With a car rental we were close to everything on the island, able to take in some snorkeling, fishing, and evening and daytrip sailing. The views were stunning, the weather was amazing. There will be a few photos from this trip hanging in our home and we so long to return and relive our stay in this wonderful vacation home. My wife and I work in the hospitality industry and have stayed at many 5 star resorts through the years, The House of Jasmine will go down in our memories as one of the best places to stay for sure. Alan, thank you for opening your home to us, we really enjoyed it and look forward to a return visit. There are no surprises when you rent this home. The owner provides accurate photos and detailed explanations. I got the impression that he really wants you to enjoy yourself in his home. By using Google maps and the owners directions, I familiarized myself with the route from the airport to his house before our arrival. All the landmarks are where he said they would be. Once we got familiar with the locale, we realized we were 15 to 20 minutes from everything on the island. Even distant Red Hook was a simple drive. Everything is either "over the hill" or "down the coast". Our favorite at-home activity was sitting on the deck overlooking Magen's Bay. Across from us was Mountaintop, the highest point on the island. What a vista! The home consists of an open L-shaped LR/DR/K with tall ceilings and lots of ceiling fans. The inside of the L contains the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The shower stall is unique. It is probably 25 or 30 sq. ft with an open-air screened ceiling. Yes, you can watch the stars. If you are looking for a nice 2 bedroom on St. Thomas, this is the one for youRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is a very beautiful and tastefully decorated house with magnificent views of Magens Bay. The family and dining room have palatial appearance because of the high ceiling and the entire wall of windows. We enjoyed having dinner on the patio. Alan is very kind and patient. We stayed at the House of Jasmine in late Dec with my wife , 6 year old son and 9 month old daughter and loved it. It is conveniently located about 5 minutes from the Magen's Bay (St. Thomas's best beach). The house is exceptionally clean and fully stocked with everything you need to make your vacation carefree. It is a 2 bedroom (1 queen bed in one room and 2 twins in the second), the living room is very large with an attached dinning and kitchen area. The balcony overlooks Magen's bay (great for pictures). The grounds around the house have beautiful flowers and island trees that complete the package. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need if you plan on cooking. The beds are comfortable and the furniture is clean and neat. House towels and beach towels are provided, and beach chairs and toys are also available for the kids. The owner Alan is very professional and an easy guy to talk too. He sent us detailed instructions and helpful tips "email pack". The house is in a gated community the upscale area of Petersburg next to Magen's bay so its is also very safe. we were blessed immensely to be able to stay in this beautiful villa for 10 days this summer. even with Hurricane Isaac, we had a blast. the island itself is fantastic and a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life back in the states. the house lends itself to total relaxation--comfy furniture, open floor plan and sweeping views of the gorgeous Magen's Bay. we really enjoyed the location on the north side of the island--it was convenient to get anywhere in a short time, especially the beach. we adored Little Magen's Bay, just a short walk from the house. the wildlife, flora and fauna on the grounds of the villa were breathtaking, as were the sounds of nature each night. we loved watching the birds and iguanas hanging out in the sunshine. we couldn't have been more pleased with the personal touch and thoughtful communication from the owner, our now friend, Battman. he went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our 10 days absolutely perfect. when we all reazlied there was a hurricane coming, he made sure to stay in contact with us to let us know where emergency supplies were, etc. things not to miss around this area: udder deelite milkshakes just up the road---AWESOME! the old stone farmhouse restaurant--INCREDIBLE from start to finish day trips to st. john and jost van dyke--a MUST. lindquist beach--where the original Corona commercial was filmed. Had a great week long stay at the house and everything is as beautiful as the pictures. The view from the balcony is wonderful - we sat out there every morning sipping coffee and planning the days events. The private beach that is nearby was spectacular! Even prettier than the actual Magen's Bay beach in my opinion. The house has everything you need and more. We decided to plan a last minute trip (1 week in advance) and renting from Alan couldn't have been easier. From the moment we contacted him and throughout our stay he was always easy to reach and extremely accomodating. The photos depict the house perfectly, it really is as beautiful as it looks. Sitting on the deck every morning and evening really reminds you that you are in paradise! There are plenty of nearby beaches and attractions to compliment your stay as well. Off the beaten path, this home offered me and my family affordable privacy while staying on the island. Not only is it in a nice location, but the house has a certain understated elegance. The owner provided great directions to the home, and where to find everything as well as checked on us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. During our stay we cooked our own meals in the well stocked kitchen saving a great deal of money over eating out. Almost every day we saw sea turtles, stingray, conure parrots, Iguana, pelicans, and much more wildlife either from the balcony or at the nearly private beach a short distance below the house.
