Live like a true Parisian - in your own luxurious pied-a-terre! Whether it is a family with adult children (we don't rent to under 13 years of age) or two couples creating memories together and having the time of their lives, this spacious apartment, including a study/office with custom made queen sized "Murphy" bed, is perfect. Located in the highly desirable seventh arrondissement on famous rue Saint Dominique, you will be surrounded by designer shopping boutiques, a multitude of restaurants, and around the corner from the famous open market street rue Cler. But you will never hear the bustle of the street as your apartment is at the very back of the complex, surrounded by grass and courtyards. None of the rooms open to any street traffic and all windows are double glazed.
Wake to the sound of bells tolling from Eglise Saint Jean, leisurely start your morning by waking to the tempting smell and sweet aroma of the boulangerie located right next door where you can grab your daily croissant and head next door to the Colombus Cafe (one of the few completely non-smoking cafes) with your daily paper and your cup of cappuccino. After completing a full day of activities that Paris is famous for, you can home to relax in your own private apartment.
Stop for goat cheese at the fromagerie next door, pick a bottle of merlot from the wine shop across the street, grab your freshly baked bagette at the boulangerie and head upstairs. Kick your shoes off, build a fire in the living room, fill the tub with bubble bath and water, and call it a night. Who needs to go out? This home, our home, will welcome you with open arms. And when you are done relaxing, snuggle into your queen-size pillow-top bed with luxurious 600 count sheets and down filled duvet and pillows. Mmmmm . . . heaven on earth!

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7
Why Paris? John and I fell in love with Paris 25 years ago on our "lune de miel". Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to own a place in France. And the more you travel to Paris, the more you realize how much there is to learn and love about the place. There is a surprise around every corner no matter where you go. The architecture, the never ending list of musueums, the haute courture, the smell of freshly baked coissants on every corner, the view of Le Grande Dame standing sentry over the entire city, the meticulously manicured and dazzling color filled gardens of the Luxemborg and the Tuilleries, the sheer number of places to grab a romantic kiss, the list is endless . . . let us share our love of this quintissential city with you.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
One of the most enjoyable aspects of living on rue Saint Dominique is the communal feeling - living within a vibrant, active community. Rue Saint Dominique is a fascinating and "happening" street. But even though it's a bustling street, because we are 4 buildings from the main rue, with a courtyard garden backing up on our other side, you never hear the noise from the street. It's really the best of both worlds - many cafes, boulangeries, boutiques just a step out the front door without the accompanying noise and horn honking. It's so wonderful to come home after a long day of walking, sightseeing, shopping (or all of the above) and be able to kick off our shoes and relax in our very own apartment with plenty of room to visit and gab with friends or family.
This is a great "people watching" restaurant owned by the famous Costs Brothers. Outdoor eating during the warm weather is especially inviting . . . relaxing in outdoor seating, facing the golden dome

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 7
My husband John and I purchased our "little piece of heaven on earth" January of 2006. We have been married 25 years (2009) and have two wonderful sons, Christopher (2/26/86) and Matthew (8/26/88). John is a founding partner in Internet Research Group of Los Alots Hills, CA, a high tech marketing and internet research firm. He is an avid marathon runner, and just finished running his third Paris marathon April 5,2009. My personal passion is travel and especially anywhere in France but specifically in Paris. The family photo that you see was taken at my 50th birthday party at a private room at Le Louvre Museum and was probably one of the most memorable nights of my life. I'm a born Francophile and love all things French. Vive la France!

Homeowner Response:
I know you were concerned about the possibility of noise because we are located on a "happening street". But as I mentioned and tell all the guests, we are 4 buildings BACK from the main street, so it is extremely quiet. The only thing you hear in the morning is the local bells from the church around the corner.
